Accommodation was ok - had a role m with two twin beds. Had a nice view of the pond and the planetarium. There is a walking path around the pond which was nice to get in some steps. The staff was cordial and professional. Breakfast in the morning was fine. Had a dinner there as well - was over priced but was fine. Easy to get cabs from there but super pricy. Hotel has small gym with a couple of treadmills and some free weights. There is no conditioner or soap. Just bulk shampoo and body wash.

Location was good, a few minutes walk to the main station. There is however an adult strip bar/shop opposite the hotel which gives it a seedy / non-family feeling. Also one of the windows looked like it had been kicked in. The staff I encountered at reception were most unhelpful with no sense of customer service. After queuing for 10 minutes I finally checked in. The room was prepaid (3 nights at GBP 225 per night). However when I got to the room, the key-card did not work. I returned to ... Read more

Hotel was associated with Norwegian Cruise Line and this hotel was centered locally to all the main places we wanted to visit before our cruise began. Great food selections for breakfast, so many items to choose from. We are at the restaurant & the staff waiters were very helpful. And the bar area had great drinks & a lunch menu was also good. Overall we plan to stay here again.

Stayed here a couple of times since you know what you get. The regular rooms are small so pay another 200 DKK and you will have a much nicer stay. The wiew is spectacular from the top floors. Breakfast is pretty beige and the AC could be better. Friendly staff & nice location. A typical Scandic "big city hotel".

We arrived in Copenhagen after a long flight from Melbourne, Australia, and had booked the Scandic Copenhagen through the cruise company we were traveling with the following day. We arrived at the hotel at 7am and were delighted that we were able to check in straight away. Our room was one one of the higher floors and we had a lovely view over the canals and planetarium. Knowing a bit of the history of the Scandic hotel/motel chain I was very positively surprised. I had a great and big room with a view to the lakes and absolutely now problems. The staff was friendly and pleasant. The breakfast is fin but for me it is too much of a cantina way of serving it. Location is great for a walk in Copenhagen and the surrounding restaurant scene much better than I remembered. A good choice but not luxury

We stayed here as part of a pre-cruise package with NCL. While lodging in Copenhagen is expensive, this was a very nice place to stay. The breakfast that was included in our stay was a very lovely variety, sure to please most everyone. It was displayed nicely, and there was plenty of seating. The Scandic was located very conveniently to the Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus and Canal Tour that we did (Grayline). They did fine on the pull out couch in our room and were able to find foods at the buffet breakfast they liked. We also rented bikes from the hotel. Our room on the 16th floor offered a beautiful view over the city including Tivoli all the way to the Baltic. However, our room had no closet, cupboards, drawers and little counter space in the bathroom. The walls were decorated in a strange way. There are three Scandic Hotels in inner Copenhagen. Each appear to be focused on different market segments. Clearly this particular hotel is most pitched at family groups, if attendance at the buffet breakfast is any indication. It's a large property and very busy just about any time we walked through the lobby. Additionally, it's also used pre/post cruise by cruise lines (eg Princess). so buses are continually loading/unloading at the main entrance. The rooms are basic and small (at least... Read more

Like the other reviews suggest, this Scandic gets busy which can compromise for example service at dinner. However, it was within walking distance to the Copenhagen old town area and a couple of blocks from Tivoli gardens. This was great as I was travelling with kids. Scandic Copenhagen offers clean, no frills accomodation right in the centre of Copenhagen. Rooms are typical Scandic style -minimalistic and "cosy free". Beds are comfortable. Long lines for check-in were taken care of quickly by reception staff although as a frequent traveller I would have appreciated a separate check-in facility for business guests. A major drawback is the lack of early morning breakfast facilities. You can neither pre-book an early-bird breakfast in advance nor was there any ... Read more

Our family of four stayed for five nights here in a Junior Suite. This was a good sized room although I was slightly disappointed it was on the second floor, as the hotel offers good views from the higher floors. Only other criticism of the room.was the slightly weak air conditioning. Staff at the hotel were very friendly. The breakfasts were great - never a problem getting a table and the food was really good, catering for all tastes. We ate in the hotel one night as well. There is a buffet... Read more

I spend my 30th birthday here, and was welcomed to my room with a card saying "Hjärtliga gratulationer på födelsedagen". Lovely! The hotel is nice, with a modernistic touch, and like all of Scandics hotels, no complaints can be made about the breakfast. What I liked best though, was the window seat in my room. Perfect for reading and resting after a day around town.

We had a room on the 17th floor with an amazing view. This is a very large hotel. Typical minimalist but clean Scandic style. We are family of four and had a room with a king size bed that we shared with our two year old and an extra bed for our 5 year old. It didn't feel too cramped. The breakfast was a standard Scandic breakfast. No problems getting a table so no complaints there. The hotel does feel impersonal as it is so large and is also expensive, but it is Copenhagen. Good location, walki... Read more

I was a bit concerned about several negative reviews; but from the friendly, efficient check-in to the comfortable and beautifully decorated room with a stunning view of the city to an excellent dinner at the Scandic's restaurant everything was what one would expect from a first-rate hotel in a European capital city. My wife and I actually had two stays--one for three days before leaving the city for a conference and then a one-night stay on our return. The room on the first stay was on the fi... Read more

An OK overnight downtown CPH, no extravagansa. Lobby feels à bit like a terminal, and hotel corridors morse like a privata hospital. Scandic,s more modern design comes to expressions in your room. Modern wallpaper, and seating area with a nice view over downtown Copenhagen. The new design shows the desire to modernize. Great breakfasts however although both of us were clearly disabled there was no effort made to offer assistance at breakfast buffet. The bathroom in our room had no grab handles and as a result using the shower was dangerous...you couldn't even safely grab the shower panel as it was made of glass! I stayed at this hotel with my husband and our 4.5 year old. One can go walking to Tivoli park as other reviewers have mentioned (we always take an umbrella stroller with us). There is a seven eleven nearby and irma supermarket. Scandic Copenhagen is really a good Hotel. We had a big room or in fact two rooms... And the location is perfect! About 200 m's to Vesterport station and 10 minutes walk to Central Railway Staion, Tivoli, "Rådhuspladsen" and the beginning of "Ströget" the pedistrian street. The surrounding nearby is also butiful - especially "SKT Jörgens Sö". A Channel just in front of the Hotel. The service in the Hotel was friendly and proffessional. I Can reccomend it warmly!

Room was spacious and had all conveniences such as robes and slippers , iron and board , safe, etc. The staff all spoke English and were very efficient in assisting us with local tours.
