The only positive experience with this hotel is good location in the centre og Copenhagen. The rooms appeared quite shabby. The shower, toilet or hairdryer didn't work. Toilet room was small and old with sewage smell. After showering the floor was wet. I will not recommend to eat breakfast at the hotel restaurant - poor selections of food and empty trays. No air-condition. Coffee machine was out of order. The room card stopped working. Low value for money.......

Perfect Place to stay in the middle of Copenhagen, next to Raadhusplassen and Tivoli. Nice and helpful staff in reception as always . I have stayed here several times and will come back. Breakfast is good.

Old, stock standard service but great location and has charm. Not really suitable for a business traveller. Clean hotel overall with the rooms clean and the hotel lobby nicely done. The bathrooms are not to any great standard, tiny and need serious updating.

Great central location, good sleep but the room was not clean. Windows full of pigeon "rests", view into a dirty backyard, greasy bathroom door and the bath did not have a plug to take a bath...getting room service to search fro the right rubber plug (here great effort). Hotel immediatly excused by offering breakfast. A good place to stay central in wonderful Copenhagen, check your room carefully when you arrive.

Great location for central Copenhagen. The layout of the hotel made our room liable to excessive noise from other guests in the lobby/ library below. Late into the night and very early in the morning the shouting was awful.

This was an excellent hotel with a large room in the center of Copenhagen. Adjacent to restaurants, shopping, and across the street from Tivoli Garden. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. Filmon went beyond the call of duty to make our stay a great one. The marathon was running on the day we checked out, so we had to take a taxi on the next street, and the Manager in Duty walked our baggage over there. Exemplary customer service.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights, he was working and I explored the city. Based at the end of the shopping strip and a short walk to many of the city's highlights, it's worked perfectly for both of us. The room has all the amenities you'd need and it even includes a free soft-drink mini bar in your room. There is a great courtyard in the centre of the hotel in which you can enjoy drinks or the complimentary tea/coffee from the lobby. The staff are also very polite and helpful, even upbe... Read more

Good room size. Everything you want from a hotel. However, room was incredibly hot and there was no air conditioning. Service was good and breakfast was also okay (but nothing special). All in all good enough, but not spectacular.

I flew in from a night at the Kamp Hotel in Helsinki to this hotel in Copenhagen. My assistant told me it was hard getting a reasonably priced hotel in Copenhagen so she tried this one. The Kamp is heaven and this is a bit like a hostel in comparison. Check in took 20 minutes. The front of the hotel is a bit shabby. The public spaces are a bit tired and dark. I was asked at reception whether I wanted a noisy room or not. I got one overlooking the main street. It wasn't too noisy, although there... Read more

A very good hotel in a great location. There is a nice restaurant attached as well. The only slight drawback but was no air conditioning in the room but there was a fan in the cupboard. Normally this would not be a big issue but we had fantastic weather so the room was quite hot on arrival.

Nice location of the hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Coffe maker in the room, which I value a lot. WIFI working well. Location great when being a tourist. My husband and son could walk to Tivoli. I on the other hand had to get to Sydhavn for work in the morning, had to take a bus since it was difficult to find taxis in the mornings. But it worked fine. Very easy to use public transport in Cph. Too pricey a hotel though, with no AC in the room and an average breakfast. We opened the window for... Read more

A good and centrally located hotel with a simple breakfast and a poor ventilation system in the room. We felt very welcome as a guest. At the reception they are very friendly and helpful. If, in particular, the rooms can be better fresh air ventilated, I would recommend this hotel for a stay.

This hotel needs updating. There is no air conditioning and the rooms were very hot even though the weather was not good. The room needed renovating and the hairdryer belongs in a budget hotel. On a more positive note the Italian restaurant attached to the hotel is very good!

My Mum and I stayed in this Hotel and really enjoyed our stay. We were given one of the older rooms very much in need of a complete refit, but for the price we paid it was fine. The beds were comfortable as both of us suffer from bad backs, we slept well. The breakfast could be set out to look a bit more appealing, but it was a reasonable selection to satisfy most people. This Hotel is located in probably the very best area for sight seeing and we were only a short walk from the train station to... Read more

I booked a double room at the property and was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. Claustrophobic people should avoid this place. The tariff was very high for the room for the standard of the room. However, must say that the location is very good in heart of Copenhagen .

This hotel is a perfect example of Old World Charm. Our room was fashioned out of re-designed space with a bathroom with double sinks, bidet, awesome shower and the length of three bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable with duvets. We had a desk and two chairs and large windows opened to the atrium to throw open to catch the breeze. We thought 'old world charm' until we experienced our stuffy room, the bathroom had no air, the shower screen no seal on the bath so water went every where. This had to be mopped up with towels that we left in the bath as requested for change. Instead they were hung back on the towel rack. Front desk staff supplied us with fresh towels but the same thing happened the following day. The best thing about this hotel is its location. And you can't get much better than that. In the very heart og Copenhagen, opposite of the City Hall, walking distance to Tivoli and the main shopping street. The hotel itself is supposed to have the 'shabby chic " feeling, however it is in bad need of restoring it to the former glory. The rooms are small and stuffy, bathroom needs a full makeover and, although it is Denmark and one does nit expect extreme heat, A/C would be appreciated, Most rooms... Read more

Stayed here recently for 3 nights. Location of this hotel is excellent, close enough to the station to make it easily walkable but not so close as you feel caught in the tourist areas. Some lovely streets nearby with nice, locally run cafes and restaurants. Rooms, especially bathrooms, are on the small side and do get exceptionally hot. Rooms were incredibly hot and stuffy. No air conditioning since the Danes don't feel it is needed anywhere. Small door opened out near the fire escape by my room to get some air, but I obviously wouldn't leave it open when I wasn't in the room or when I went to bed. I can't complain about the size of the room, since rooms throughout Scandinavia are small. One person at the front desk was nice; the other was not. Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is located in a very convenient area of the city, near the main station, town hall and Tivoli Gardens. Apart from the attractions, there are also many great coffee shops and restaurants to eat around the hotel (and useful if you want to avoid paying for food at the hotel). The staff seems nice and the place was clean enough but the rooms appear to be about 90 degrees Fahrenheit inside making it really hard to sleep or be in the room for any period of time. It's about 62 degrees outside so I'd guess that the rooms would be even hotter if you are here during a heat wave. Looking at the other reviews, this doesn't seem to be a very isolated experience either.

Although the location of this hotel in Copenhagen was convenient, the hotel itself was not comfortable. The one elevator (lift) was so small that no more than two people with luggage could fit into it. There was no central air conditioning in the rooms or in any other part of the hotel. A well positioned hotel. It is old and historic so you do expect the conversions to be difficult - but the architect/designer who thought this one out should have been fired. We were three senior couples and the size and quality of the rooms was inconsistent. If you want a quiet room you will likely end up facing ventilation shafts or the backs of other buildings which are very very close. The biggest grumble though were the sparse bathrooms. Although big enough, there is nowhere to put your kit... Read more

We booked to stay just the one night, and found the hotel very easily. The lobby and entrance area really has the wow factor and is beautiful. The room itself was spacious for a standard double and was nicely furnished. The cleanliness of the bathroom let it down - there was mould on the bath. The safe also did not work, however the staff were very helpful about this and took care of our documents whilst we were out. I thought it was a tad expensive for what we got.

This hotel is perfectly placed right on a main thoroughfare very near to tourist attractions like the Town Hall and Tivoli Gardens. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast offering was incredibly varied. The decor was a bit dark, but that was in keeping with the hotel's "historic" theme. I was especially pleased to find a desk fan in the closet of the room, which really helped cool the room at night after an unusually warm summer day! Nice touch.

The hotel is super well located, walking distance from the main attractions and the shopping area. There is a super busy bar-club right in front and since the windows are not well isolating the sound, at night time it gets really noisy. Service at the reception is nice and welcoming, breakfast was ok, not that much selection. Rooms are relatively small and a little bit old, bathrooms as well.
