This hotel used to be for the Communist leaders. It looks stark from the outside but inside it is spacious and old world. The rooms were decent sized and immaculate. The location is safe and within walking distance of a decent restaurant and trams to downtown.

The hotel didn't provide any concierge help when we landed up with our Baggage. Our room had a nasty smell. Nothing hey did helped. The housekeeping women was a horrid one. She snarled at us and just separated the room with air purifier. I think the room had some sewage vapours coming into it from some vent. They changed our room. We dragged our bags ourselves. Again. airConditioning didn't work! And the repairman came and said he couldn't fix it. The reception staff although friendly as... Read more

the front steps lead you through 2 sets of automatic doors into a splendid reception area where English speaking staff could not be more helpful. the bedroom was very comfortable with adequate facilities, the bath was very modern with plenty of space for 2 people.

Overall, the hotel is great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable with just the necessary facilities. WiFi is excellent and covering all hotel areas. Air conditioning is great. But, the room service food menu is very very limited. It has about 6-7 dishes only!!!. It definitely needs an improvement. Other disadvantage is the TV. It has only Czech channels with few NEWS channels for other languages, what about international channels for movies?!!! I wish these points co... Read more

We stayed in Hotel International for about 4 nights in month of May 2016. Pros: Convenient location: It is situated right next to bus and tram station. In Two minutes walking distance their is Kafland and Rosamann, thus Preity convenient to move around. The hotel has a old Soviet era Royal feeling which is good. Rooms are of decent size and comfortable. Some of the reviews commented on Small breakfast area, during our stay the hotel was fully booked but we still did not faced issue in finding ... Read more

Realy nice building from sovief era. When you enter you will feel like in time machine. Reception was great, they took time and showed us map and one of them gave us printout of things to do - it was so usefull. Every restaurant was a hidden gem. There is more of them some more talkative than others. Look for curly haired guy and thin tall guy with broken arm, they make such a good team. It was so much fun to chat with them. See you next year guys... I will book that tower suite for sure :-)

We attended a conference organised by the Advance Institute, Czech Republic. The hotel is well equipped for a smallish 200 person conference. The accommodation provided was good. The rooms look a bit tired although functional and spacy. Breakfast was good and enjoyable as was lunch. Service bar services for coffee/tea and other drinks were well staffed and a friendly environment. We found the staff at reception and in general very helpful and eager to be of assistance. If any criticizm, it is n... Read more

This hotel isn't far from the center, about 10-12 kms. It used to change the hotel name before, maybe under new management. There are about 200 rooms. You should know which elevator you must use to get to your room. Wifi in the room is free and fast, but weak at the lobby.

This hotel resembles the style of the Soviet times; not only on its façade from the 50s, but unfortunately also the attention at front desk seems cautiously mimicked from those times: obnoxious and utterly inefficient; in the most prominent style of Soviet bureaucracy. That is, my card got demagnetised and instead of quickly fixing this issue between check-ins (as it's a common practice on other hotels), they neglected the problem and applied the straightforward way: FIFO. After around 10 cons... Read more

Hotel is quite huge but staff are really cold. It's far from the City Centre. There is a tram stop right outside the Hotel and takes around 25 Mins to reach Palladium. If if you are in Prague its good to stay in Prague 1/ Prague 2. I had stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. They offer the same breakfast every morning without much changes in the menu. They have bar/ lounge on the ground floor but I am not sure if people like to spend time in the hotel. I must appreciate the help extended by the Hote... Read more

Very nice hotel in a relatively good location, not too far from the city centre. There is a tram stop just outside making it a nice short journey to get to the centre. Room was very clean and very comfortable with free-in room wifi. Bathroom was nice but would be great to have a few extra amenities. Very clean throughout. Hotel staff were very friendly and made the stay nice and enjoyable. Restaurant was a bit slow on the service as there was only one staff but food was nice and very good po... Read more

Looks like the Tower of Terror outside but we loved this hotel, just beautiful inside. Comfortable large rooms, great breakfast with hot food,(Europe standards are usually cold food) trams to the center easily available. Great dinner place next door.

If you are used to a smoke free environment, don't go there. The ventilation system stinks like cigarette smoke. Disgusting. This happend to me on a non-smoker level and in the conference rooms. The breakfast room was so full, that you had to wait 10 min to find an empty spot.

We arrived at this hotel as part of our Eastern European your. It is quite imposing from the outside. The lobby is quite old and grand. We were shown to put room which was clean and functional. There was a kettle and cups provided in room also a small fridge. There is also an iron and ironing board provided. The rooms are of a reasonable size. Trams run outside hotel into Prague.

The location is truly perfect. You can get to almost anywhere in no time. The hotel is very pretty. Great view from the bar/restaurant on top floor. Breakfast buffet was included for us and was very good, but we found staff to be cranky, especially fellow making the omelets. Our room was really nice. Just a few things that made this not 5 star. I was supposed to get a wake up call at 7:00 am the first day...had an 8:00 am business meeting. The call came at 7:45. Not ok. The lighted mir... Read more

We stayed two nights, the room was well equipped, even ironing facilities. It was a lot larger than we expected the room to be. We overlooked some of the maintenance issues in the room as the staff were so helpful with requests and the room was very clean with lovely city views. Included breakfast was sufficient. The hotel itself resembles a true traditional hotel from a past era. Our group booked a small banquet dinner which was also well catered with tasty food at reasonable prices.

Big old building dating from the communist era. Still has the star on the roof. Rumours that it may be demolished. I hope not true. Room was excellent and well equipped. Food very good including the breakfast. Service from reception staff exemplary.

On our tour of European cities this was our two night stay in a beautiful city. You cannot help but be impressed as you walk into the hotel. It must be steeped in history, but for our tastes it was a bit old fashioned. We ate out the first night at a local restaurant, but dined in on our second night, and there was an excellent buffet breakfast.

Positives: - Charming hotel - Good breakfast buffet spread - Nearby amenities (supermarket that closes at 10pm) - Clean bathroom with good water pressure - Wifi free, speeds are adequate Negatives: - Room not well maintained - Blown light bulbs - Mattress saggy - Poor lighting in room even with all lights switched on

I have travelled to support my favourite football team. The hotel is an impressive pure Russian style building. I understood that it was the former HQ of Russian Army stationed in Prague. In fact the neighbourhood it was all former army housing. Very large room. If you are lucky enough to stay at top floors, the view is amazing. Very nice coffee serving area with good music. Armstrong. Enjoy!
