In plus: Helpful staff, quiet and clean rooms, free Wi-Fi and Basically all was good. In minus: Just a small minus but it is a bit further from city centre, however there is public transport nearby. Also lobby could be a bit bigger with seating tables not that close to reception desk but these were really minor things.

Out in the "business district" bpthis hotel is easy to,get to from the Metro station (5 mins away). Our room (in the 4th floor) was clean, quiet and comfortable, with a huge king size bed, though they only provide one pillow each side and they are soff!! The info states that there is tea an coffee making facilities and a fridge, which is true, there is a kettle and mugs and there was some tea and coffee and pwdered milk for our first night, but this was not replenished for the remaining 3 night... It's a ok hotel. Maybe a bit 2 expensive for what you get. Nothing special, just a regular hotel. Barcelo praha five is quite far from the old city so you have to buy tram/metro tickets. It cost 310 csk per person for 72 hours.

Just got back from three nights in Prague, staying at the Barcelo Praha Five. We upgraded to a 'Junior Suite' (702) which was well worth the extra few pounds per night. The bedroom was modern, well decorated, light and airy. The King Size bed with its five pillows was ever so comfortable and afforded a great nights' sleep. Multi nationality TV and Bluetooth music speaker. The balcony overlooked the front of the hotel with views over the city in the distance. The lounge with settee had anot... Read more

The hotel is in a very good location, close to the touristic sites, lot of bars and restaurants nearby, public transport is on the corner, so I could get to work easily as well. Still it is quiet, well equiped, and the breakfast is just amazing. And they have good coffee, which is a big advantage if you are an espresso drinker in Prague. :)

Stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. Amazing room with a modern feel. Immaculately clean bathroom and lovely shower with all gels etc all included. Lovely view over Prague. Breakfast was the normal buffet but excellent service and fresh. Location is only a short walk to trams into centre of Prague.

The staff of Praha Barcelo 5 was very nice, but not very clear in their directions. The rooms were smaller than the average European hotel room and they were very stark and basic. There was not enough room for my husband to walk around the bed with his size 13 shoes. The rooms were very clean. The reason I would not recommend the hotel is due to location. The neighborhood didn't appear to be safe and there wasn't much around in the way of sights or restaurants. The hotel is located FAR ... Read more

The room was big and with a balcony on the top floor. You have the kettle in the room and many different amenities in the bathroom. Breakfast is very good with a wide range of sweets, cheese hams, eggs fruits, salads and beverages and dinner was a buffet with three or for choices. The hotel is close to the metro and buses that will take you downtown in a few minutes. I reccomended it.

Stayed for three nights at this very modern hotel. The room was fantastic. Spacious, airy and quiet. Angel metro 2 mins away, 8-10 mins into the city centre. Trams across the road which are very charming especially the older ones. Breakfast selection more for your continental types. Not for Brits unless all you want is a boiled or scrambled egg. Still adequate though. This hotel warrants a 5* rating but unfortunately I felt it was let down by reception and bar staff. I felt everything wa... Read more

A modern and clean hotel ideally located to explore Prague. Easily reached from the airport using the number 100 bus and then metro line B to Andel station. Short walk then to the hotel. We had a spacious corner room at the rear of the hotel which was quiet, included a mini bar, large shower and modern tv. Great service, managed to incorrectly input my safe code and within 5 minutes of calling reception was all sorted. Only a couple of metro stops to reach the old town and the river or take a... This hotel is very nice, with modern and comfortable rooms. They have minibar and all amenities. They have good buffet breakfast with lots of choices, the only problem with the restaurant is that they have a smoking area that leaves the door open to the inside and we can smell cigarette smoke all over. Not pleasant to seat for long time. I recommend staying in the hotel but not eating in this restaurant unless nobody is smoking there. Aside from that, the service in the restaurant is great and ... Barcelo Praha five is about 2 km outside the town inside of Prague. Old Town, Prague castle and other attractions are easily reached by tram, bus and metro. Within 100 meters you will find a bus station, a subway station and several tram stops. Within 200 - 400 metres, you will find many great restaurants. We enjoyed meals at Le Burger, Corleone and Tradice (the last restaurant was recommended by the staff at the hotel and serves mainly Czech food). The staff at the hotel is nice and helpful... Me and my girlfriend enjoyed an amazing few days in Prague staying at this hotel. It is situated about 100 yds from the Andel metro stop which is 1 stop from the centre of Prague. Our room on the 4th floor gave a lovely view of the Prague skyline for us to wake up to. We never suffered from noise pollution from the surrounding streets and were very happy with the size of bed and bathroom.

Room tip: ask for a room ending with 04 (404, 304, ...) they are at the end of a corridor and slightly larger.
