The location of this hotel is really good. Otherwise the hotel itself is nothing extra. The rooms are like there has not been a refurbishment in the last 20 years. The furniture is worn. The carpet is not so clean. The wall in the bathroom is dirty. You have to pay the bill at checkin. When asking why the answer is it is the "policy". All in all there are much better hotels in Prague.

Amazing location, it is 2 minutes walk away from charles bridge and less than 10 minutes away from old town. We were upgraded to a duplex room as a welcome gift (we were only staying for a night) but the room was a bit dusty and the bathroom was not clean enough. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is nice.

The hotel is 2 minutes from the charles bridge and the old town. Our room had two floors, a bed and bathroom on each floor, ideal for a weekend with friends. Really comfortable and full of character. The girl in the bar was really helpful and friendly.I will go back. My only negative was breakfast didnt start till 07:30 but they laid on a packed breakfast!! as we had to leave to the airport at 07:15.

The hotel was recommended to us by a business colleague and it was an excellent recommendation. My husband and I were on holiday in Prague for the first time and we loved the position of the hotel as it was so convenient to all the tourist attractions, as well as the Old Town and the New Town. The staff were very polite and efficient and helped us with all of our inquiries as to what to do and where to go. We had a lovely room overlooking the Elba and although there was some noise from the stree... Read more

The location of this hotel is very good with all the best bits of the Old Town very nearby. Charles Bridge is about 500 yards away and, on the other side of the river, you have easy access to the Lesser Town, the castle and St Vitus Cathedral. There's a fair bit of walking involved but nothing too drastic. The hotel is very comfortable. The room we had was enormous but was still only a standard room. There was a small foyer, a decent bathroom (excellent shower), a sitting room and a separate be... Read more

We chosen this hotel as we were staying in Prague on a city break and we did not see the point in spending a fortune for the few days. The hotel is well kept, quite dated and could possibly do with an update. We didn't like the fact that the rooms we stayed in, had Windows that opened on to the hallway! Which was quite uncomfortable as it was warm when we went so we could not open the windows and the air con wasn't the best. Also we avoided the continental breakfast at the hotel as the first mor... We stayed here for 6 days in September 2015. There was 3 of us with 2 rooms next to each other on the 3rd floor. We arrived from USA early in the morning and before check in time, the hotel held our bags in a locked room so we could go exploring while we waited for our rooms to be ready. Hint> book the hotel for the night before so when you arrive in the morning you will be able to check in. It is worth the extra expense to be able to check in and shower right away after a long flight. The ... Read more

We arrived late at night to find the sheets and towels had not been changed or room cleaned. There were french fries on the floor of the lift which were there 4 days later. On top of this the noise was indescribable as it is opposite a huge disco which was going all night plus unbelievable motor bike noise.A shame as the room was lovely.

We stayed at the Charles Bridge Palace for a few nights during a summer trip. The hotel is very well positioned, with the Charles Bridge itself being a two-minute stroll, with other major parts of the Old Town being five-to-ten minutes away. On our first night, I found that the presentation of the beds was dishevelled. I was stunned to find that the waste bin had not been emptied, and there was obvious waste from the previoius night's guest. In addition, the tissue box was empty. It was cle... Read more

After a few problems with our check in, we were shown to our room. The reception staff was friendly and helpful, as was the porter that took us to our room. Our room was very spacious, clean and had everything that we needed. The Tom had an apartment feel to it as we walked in through a hallway from the door to get to the main part. We were there during a hot spell (28 oC) we found that the A/C cooled down the room nicely when we left it running for a while. Breakfast each morning was lovely. ... Read more

We stayed in a 4 person suite and it was such a beautiful room. There was a sitting room downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. For the price we paid I was not expecting the room to be so lovely. The location is fantastic. Right in the city facing the bridge and the river. The staff are so helpful and kind and I would 100% recommend staying here. The breakfast is included in the price. It is quite basic but tasty and varied.

This was by far the most beautiful hotel we stayed in during our trip. We had a 2 story room with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs, living room with fridge, wardrobe, and dining table downstairs as well as another bathroom. Everything was quite ornate and luxurious. There were skylights in every room with the living room skylight overlooking the nearby clock tower (so you always knew what time it was!). My partner booked this Hotel for my 50th Birthday treat and had paid extra for the 'deluxe' room. Although the room itself was 'nice 'enough, the lay out was a bit odd. It had a wardrobe and toilet/shower room downstairs with a large TV which we couldn't get reception. Upstairs was the bedroom with another bigger shower room/toilet. This hotel appealed to us due to its central location, interior (from photos) and price. There were many positive sides of the hotel, but also negative ones. It is centrally located, very close to Charles Bridge and pedestrian zone and Old Town. Not easy to be found on your own if you are coming by car. Small square in front of the hotel provides limited number of parking places. I read some comments on slow check-in, as I booked it on-line via specialized web site, I have not experienced that, ... We were excited to stay at CBP because we were able to book a river view room close to the Charles Bridge for only about $140 a night. Seemed to good to be true, and indeed it was. The river view rooms are right on a very busy street with all kinds of traffic, including loud trams that run all night. In addition, the river view rooms and the side rooms that face north butt up against a couple of very large and loud night clubs. I could not believe how loud it was. It was nice to finally have a hotel room with a/c. It did not get very cold but still felt good. For some reason hotel rooms in Europe do not have two double or queen beds. We were traveling with our adult daughter and requested a room for 3 adults and the room they gave us had a bedroom with a surprise king sized bed and there was a fold down couch (like a futon) in the living room. My daughter was glad to have something larger than a twin until she slept on it. It was hard as a rock. Loved the... Read more

The Charles Bridge Palace was a lovely hotel. It was in a perfect location within walking distance to several main attractions. The staff were very helpful in setting up a few of our excursions. Lovely hotel but be warned the first & second floor rooms are VERY noisy. Hotel is opposite the largest nightclub in Europe and it is above an all night gym - loud music until the early hours (5.00a.m.). We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and did not get much sleep at all. Shame because the location is perfect and the views from the front of the hotel overlook the river and you can walk everywhere. Just impossible to sleep!
