This hotel is really well located in Prague. It is clean and our room was comfy. However, the staff can be very unhelpful. When we first checked in we had requested 2 beds and they sent us to 2 rooms with one bed before fulfilling our request. They acted annoyed because that request had been made and it had been made in January! They directed us to the elevator which was out of service so I asked for help to lug my luggage up 4 flights, they did it unhappily. We created great consternation wh... Read more

Overall, I would recommend this hotel, but according to north American standards, lower your service expectations. The hotel itself is perfectly situated in the heart of Old Town within easy walking distance of most sites. The room was lovely and modern. There was a separate water closet (toilet and tiny sink) and lovely large shower in a separate room. The floors were wooden with throw rugs. The beds were very comfortable with updated linens. We had a mini fridge also in the room. There was a p... Read more

During a business trip, we decided to take a deviation and visit beautiful Prague. The Barceló hotel, stands behind the Spanish hospitality promise and offers an outstanding room in a historical building, not steps, but in the middle of the old town, where you can visit all the historical buildings and plazas within walking distance. Despite the fact that the building is old, it has all the amenities one can expect in a world class hotel. We stayed at a junior suite, which included a living ... Read more

After that I was waiting other 20min for coffee and water, the stuff did not have time, they have to play with their phones. Stay here for the best location in Prague! And get a Junior Suite too, ours (205) was on its own, no neighbours, no one upstairs, blissfully quiet. Lovely devor, huge suite, the one only thing they need ot do is to change the towels, they are too old now. Get some fresh fluffy ones, these were like cardboard and a bit threadbare for the level of this hotel. Also, the shower could do with a proper headrose, rather than a corded one. Apart from that, this place fulfilled all expectations. Book t... Read more

We booked a regular king size bedroom, but didn't know it came with an extra room with a couch and tv. Great view of Old Town Square. Hotel is a quick 3 minute walk to the square, with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Very clean, nice bathroom, and extremely comfortable beds! Great room service as well. Only complaints are that the room was still a little hot even with AC at full blast, and wifi didn't work very well. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

We had a really wonderful and big suite with a phantastic living room and a very good bed in the bedroom. The location of the hotel is perfect, directly in the city center in the pedestrian zone. The breakfast is ok, but could be a bit improved. As we arrived quite early for breakfast on Sunday, the staff was obviously a bit surprised that we got up that early;) But all together it was really a nice stay.

We booked the Grand Suite with spa. Expecting there will be a balcony. When we arrived, we found out not all room is with balcony. They changed to one with balcony the next day. Hotel is in a perfect location; few minutes walking distance to the Old Town Square. Restaruants are good; high standard breakfast buffet. Staffs are friendly and super helpful. It is a great hotel.

I stayed twice in this hotel and both my rooms were great. To the junior suite in the 5th floor belongs terrace with a nice view and privacy. I came to Prague for business but I¬īd pick this hotel for a honeymoon. Staff is nice and helpful.

Great location. Very good breakfast. Elegant and well decorated rooms and hotel. Perfect combination of old and new. It was our second stay in 3 years. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Clean rooms and hotel. Very well maintained. Very large and comfortable rooms for families. One little annoying issue was the very poor and slow Internet connection with strict firewall limitation but in total an excellent hotel.

I've stayed in a Barcelo hotel a couple of times before and it's always a lovely experience. Well worth staying in this one. It's very central to all you want to see in this beautiful city in addition we feel very valued guests. Fab building amazing staff and an upgrade to a suite as I'm a Mi Barcelo member. Luxury! Dx

We have got an upgrade to the Suite, for a small extra charge, you live there like in the Praha heaven, excellent cleaning, great service, very attentive staff everywhere in the Hotel. The Breakfast offered a nice selection of everything and very good coffee. The Spanish touch you could fill as well by cheese and ham. The location is just great in the old town of Praha.

My preferred hotel in Prague offering nice rooms, a restaurant and a short walking distance to major attractions. Kind staff and outstanding services make Barcelo Old Town Praha Hotel a perfect choice for a memorable say in Prague.

On the plus side, the hotel is close to everything; including Powder Tower, Old Town Square, and Charles Bridge. On the down side, it is close to everything; including loud tourists in the middle of the night and recycling trucks in the morning. I am a light sleeper, so this was my main complaint about the hotel. We opted for the package that included breakfast, which was a lovely way to start the day. Coffee was a bit harder to come by, as the tea and coffee are restocked by the kitchen a... Read more

A very friendly and welcoming hotel who's staff are pleasant and attentive. It's situated in the heart of the old town which makes it perfect. Upon arrival we were offered a glass of fizz which was a lovely little touch. We'd book this trip for my 50th and the hotel left a bottle of fizz and slice of delicious chocolate cake in our room when we returned from our first trip out around the old town. Again this touch added to our wonderful experience. Our room was quite lovely and had a fully stock... Read more

nicely refurbished and well furnitured Hotel in downtown Prague. but lots of small irritating service misfunctions: good quality lunch served by waiters that smelled of tabacco smoke. tableware (plates, knife, fork spoons) during breakfast not refilled timely, guests have to search by themselves. One morning only cold water for showers.

Very friendly team at the reception, and at the restaurant. I had to the early check-in and it was not a problem at all. They all speak very good English................... Rooms are nice, clean and spacey. No complains. It was quiet...You don't hear neighbors shower or other kind of sounds :-) Hotel location is very good. Close to the metro or any kind of public transport. Also very close to the all the nice buildings in Prague. Everything is walk distance. You are in the heart of the town. Ve... Read more

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a 3 day break in Prague. The Barcelo Old Town Praha hotel was perfect, situated right in the centre of the old town, minutes walk from all the best tourist locations and restaurants, bars and cafes. On arrival the lady on the reception desk was superb, and when we realised we forgot our phone charger she couldn't have been more helpful, lending us hers while we went in search for another one. She also recommended a lovely restaurant just down the street... Read more

The location is excellent - a very short walk from the Old Town Square, but the hotel itself is lovely and quiet. The staff are fantastic, very helpful and professional in that way that everything feels utterly effortless and smooth. The rooms are beautiful with everything you could wish for and a few little extras to make it feel special. We will definitely be going back. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Spent 3 nights around 18 Nov. This hotel was very nice. Our room was very large and quiet. Location was excellent for just walking out and quickly being in the middle of Old Town. One negative was internet access. We were in room 218 and in the bedroom area there was no wifi access. In the living room area, we could get a spotty signal, consistently moving between 1 and 3 bars. We talked to front desk but it never improved. Believe they may need more routers. Overall, would highly r... Read more

The positives: The location is metres from the old town square and powder gate so within walking distance of sights. This does make it a little noisy on some nights (especially when housekeeping leave the window open and it's 0 degrees). The rooms were large with walk in showers and the breakfast choice was good. The negatives: You'll get used to talking to Barbara, Petra etc. On reception (when they bother answering the phone) to report lights not working, floods in bathrooms, fused haird... Read more
