We checked in Friday, Nice lobby with high ceilings and nearby shops. We made out booking through Expedia paid fully with breakfast included and they told us at first that 2 of the 3 rooms did not include the breakfast. They later checked on the system and the next day gave us the point. Great hotel from a location point of view. Artificial beach is a masterpiece if you are a Civil Engineer, not a great beach. I prefer the real deal but again, your paying for the location near the floating bridg... Read more

This hotel is amazing with such great service. The private beach and infinity pool are the best. The staff treated us so well the entire time. So close to Punda and basically inside Riffort so easy access to so many restaurants at so many price points.

The hotel is located very central and therefore easy to travel from and to. It is also a great hotel if you are a cruise tourist and want to spend some extra nights after your cruise and great hotel for any tourist European or American! The buffet is 'nice to have' because of the local specialities combined with the fresh pasta's buffet and other sweets. The best rooms are the seaside ones on the 4th floor. The 2th floor is to close to the beachrestaurant.

You should really book the ocean view. There was a mix up with our booking. Not our fault by the way. But the manager offerd us an upgrade to an ocean view room And it was beautiful. Just leave the glass door open and enjoy the breeze and sounds of the ocean.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Shops, restaurants and bars are close by (just walking distance). If you have a car, you can make use of the parking facilities right across the hotel. The hotel's pool is beautiful and the gym is nicely equipped! I enjoyed some good wings and mojito's (the mango is the best) at the bar. The staff is nice and the breakfast is good. View of my room was not excellent, had a balcony room at the left side of the hotel, but the room was spacious. Good cleaning... Read more

This hotel served its purpose. Great location and customer service. It was nice to be able to walk to a lot of sites and restaurants. Besides the location there is nothing spectacular about this place. There's a man made beach that also serves as the pool. Save yourself the extra dollars and skip the ocean view.

We reserved a room not facing the ocean, thinking interior side of the city! For our surprise, the interior is literally interior to an event room! See picture, never saw something similar on any other Marriot! Additionally you have to walk and walk to reach the room, crazy! The arrival at the lobby was not pleasant because load live music prevented us from even talking to the receptionist. The arrival to a hotel needs to be a moment of relaxation! We are currently on day 3 of our 7 day trip and so far I have nothing but rave reviews about this hotel. A short background, hubby wanted to go somewhere family friendly with a casino for his 40th birthday. And while we're not fans of overly industrialized countries, we decided Curaçao would be the perfect fit for the two of us and our 20 month old. Everyone working here is so friendly? I am the type of traveler that is usually willing to look past certain imperfections when traveling, nothing is ever perfect, but my experience at this hotel has been terrible. A lot of this has to do with the staff and their training, and possibly for the entire hotel thinking that losing one customer is not a big deal. If there is a do not disturb sign on the door, that means do not keep knocking it, a waiter should acknowledge customer's presence in a timely manner, and do a better job comm... Read more

The bad: Food is expensive and not good at all. I realized house keeping forgot her tip and I ran out to catch her and the manager saw me and would not let me back in my room and I told her I had a tour to catch and she did not care and I ended up having to wait 20 min for the front desk to let me in. I felt it was mean of her and that alone makes me not want to come back here. Taxi cabs are expensive from the hotel. You'll get a better rate if you cross the bridge. The good: great location... We stayed here one night for a wedding a few days ago. Checked in online and wrote that we'd be arriving at 1pm (instead of the, admittedly late, 4pm check-in), and hoped for the best. Arriving at around 2pm (just in case), we were told the room was ready and waiting for us! The check-in lady was very kind and friendly. The room (on the second floor) was spacious, clean and had everything one needs. No hot water trouble like some of the other reviews I've read on here beforehand. House-keeping ... Read more

We were impressed with the location of the hotel. It was in the action of shops and restaurants and near other happening areas. The pool/beach is the highlight of the hotel. Plenty of shaded or sun loungers sit next to the man-made sand bottom pool. The rooms are outdated, not up to Renaissance standards. The service in the restaurants is frustratingly slow and breakfast buffet leaves something to be desired.

He hand made all of our drinks, is incredibly personable, entertaining, super fun and thoroughly knowledgeable about the Island. I often visit Curacao on business. The Renaissance is our go to accommodation. It is a clean and modern hotel. Great internet access and friendly staff. There is a cinema around the corner, as well as a starbucks and there are good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. All the rooms are fully air-conditioned with internet and cable. The hotel is great for business visits. They will remember you from previous visits and make sure to acknowledge y... Read more
