Let me say that I'm a fan of Marriott. However, they dropped the ball on this one with the room. We upgraded to a beachfront room, and I was less than impressed. I think I expected more for a beachfront category 7 hotel in an area that thrives on tourism. Overall it was an awesome stay. There were a few hiccups along the way, but the staff was quick to correct them. There is onsite scuba diving, several restaurants, ample happy hours, and an overall great experience. The staff at the hot... Read more

Stayed in the Marriott Beach Resort for 12 days. ROOM The room was after all OK, comparatively quite given the location next to the pool. The bed was comfortable, the bath was big but the style of the furniture really wasn't my thing. As I mentioned before the location of our room wasn't that great, since it was next to the pool with a little path and the towel hut in front of the "terrace", which made it at least for us uncomfortable to sit outside. Nearly all other rooms has a way nicer view... Read more

We just go back yesterday and I'm wishing we were still there! Beautiful Island, Beautiful People, I definitely recommend! This hotel was fabulous! The room, the service, the pool and the beach! It has everything and more. I travel frequently (for work) and this hotel's staff was top notch, especially Riangelo at the Front Desk. He made our vacation! Really, he did! From the moment we checked in and were upgraded to a Beach Front Room until we left he made sure that we had everything we ... Read more

I have just visited Curacao for the first time, and stayed at Marriott. My overall description for this hotel is: quiet, yet needing an upgrade. The whole experience fits perfectly in what you would expect from a Carribbean resort: a nice beach, clear waters, a great pool, friendly staff, palm trees, iguanas... However great the outdoor locations, the rooms might be needing an upgrade. And I don't mean they are unconfortable, not at all (the bed is amazing). But you kind of enter to a 90's ho... Read more

We spent a week at the Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort and had a wonderful time. The staff are really fabulous, so the service was first-rate throughout. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. Our suite was truly excellent, with a beautiful view. Questions I had before arriving that I can now answer: 1. Room upkeep and furnishings. Answer: Great! We simply did not encounter any issues others have mentioned. Our room was perfect. 2. Food options and price. Answer: Fine! Yes, the pr... Read more

This is really a nice hotel, once you go into the lobby area you get a great view of the pool area and beach, which is absolutely gorgeous. The service is impeccable, every question was met with a smile and assistance. The staff were really great and tried their best to make your stay a wonderful one.

I stayed there twice in March with two friends, we tried another hotel on our second visit and ended up going back to the Marriot. It was simply awesome. The rooms, restaurant, beach, Bar, food, drinks and the staff were all great. It's a little piece of heaven on the island. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

This was just a(nother) little paradise on Earth, for my husband and me! We chose this trip for the conclusion of our honeymoon, having left South Beach, Miami, after a couple of nights. We were pleasantly surprised from the quick flight from Miami, to the locals, who all were so friendly and helpful. Our trip included a daily, buffet breakfast, an island tour, where we got to see flamingos in their natural habitat, and we dined where the locals do! We also visited an above-ground cave, and ... We loved this hotel because of its arquitecture, its so unique and it has an stunning ocean view from the lobby. I think its the most beautiful view I've ever seen from a hotel lobby. I think it needs a little renovation and more food options. I want to recognize the excellet service of Bryan, Monique and Pooja. Thank you!!!

My husband and I along with our two daughters and 9 month old granddaughter stayed at the Marriott June 27 - July 2. It was an amazing experience. We had an ocean front room on the second floor with a beautiful balcony to sit out on. The staff at the hotel could not do enough for us. Everyone treated us royally. I want to applaud Madelien the housekeeper who took such good care of us each day. Also thank you to Chantou at the front desk who gave us extension cords (who knew they had European ... Read more

The entrance or the lobby is beautiful, looking out to the ocean. The welcoming with the beer and soda was nice. The beach right in front I love because the waves are undulating and it is pretty sandy compared to the rocky area in front of the dive shop. You need to buy water shoes and that will elevate your experience 10 fold. I'm 56 yrs old and getting out of the water can be problematic so having the shoes gets rid of the pain factor stepping on rocks. The area in front of the dive sho... Read more

Im in the hotel right now And i cant believe that when the concert has finished you cant find anything to drink or to eat. You have to Go to sleep with hungry And thirsty!! I know that you are going to close the hotel, but is not fair with the guest. You have to Think that We are Paying to be satisfied not comfortable. It is the worst thing that could have happened to me in a hotel. CURACAO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO KNOW AND NEITHER MARRIOTT. I cant believe this !!!

A great place with great help. Just received cancellation of my reservations for Thanksgiving travel. Received an e-mail a couple hours later saying they were under new ownership and closing for two years. On the phone with Marriott and they got the notice that it would be delisted tomorrow. What a way to go! Too bad for the employees also!

We were at the Curaçao Marriott from August 16-23. What can I say we arrived and the view from the lobby is just paradise! We checked in with Terrence who with a great smile provided the best customer service, we were given welcome beer or punch upon arrival. We ate at the Emerald lounge for dinner and Keara was the best waitress always providing the specials for the day and great conversation about the island she was fantastic. The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. All of our interacti... Read more

Arrived at the hotel and given an ocean view room. When the wing we were in was sprayed, the hotel staff graciously moved us to a separate location, ocean front upgrade. Total delight, spectacular view of ocean and grounds. All hotel personnel were kind and frequently asked if all was well and was there anything needed. From the staff at the front desk, dining room personnel, and room service, impeccable attention to detail and guests was the norm. Outstanding individuals were Gicci, Puja,... Read more

We arrived July 30th for 4 nights - the view upon arrival is just paradise! what more can you ask than beach front view!! ****I do want to give you 1 BIG IMPORTANT HINT - ask about traveling to the town, use the shuttle to go and top return take advantage of the bus ($2pp) instead of $15 -$30 cab rides - people are very helpful and the bus drops you off at the main entrance! Saves you a lot of money and you get to enjoy your stay without the extra spending!***

Loved our stay at this hotel. The hotel met our expectations and the staff was exceptional. Nice place, great location, very nice people. Not in the hustle and bustle of Willemstaad. I used the wi-fi a few times throughout the week and wasn't charged for it since I'm a Marriott rewards member but would not have been happy if I had been charged. I think it's a bush league move for any hotel, especially one of this caliber, to charge for wi-fi. Food is expensive all around Curacao and this pl... Read more

My husband and I went in August 2016. The lobby view is stunning with Dutch colonial architecture. We opted to upgrade to a first floor beach front room. Rooms could use some freshening but, the on-the-beach room location was by far worth every nickel! Room 140, right next to the pool and beach. Room was nicely insulated and we heard no noise. You have a small semi private patio with hedge between you and the beach 10 feet away. The beach was fab, snorkeling was great. The beach is surrounded by... Read more

We visited the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort & Emerald Casino on our visit to Curacao and spent some time in their casino. The casino had black Jack and Roulette tables but I did not see ant Craps tables. Gaming machines ranged from penny slots on up so there is a wide choice for gaming.

Great hotel with many amenities that would allow you to stay onsite the entire stay. Although, I would highly recommend traveling the island. Upon arrival one of the bellhops quickly offered us a beer on the house, and took care of getting our room keys and someone to assist us to our room. It was fairly. Yay, but very short time to get to the room. The lobby and pool areas are beautiful. The hotel is a bit dated as other travelers have pointed out, but honestly the rooms were cleaned every... We came here on a JetBlue getaway package and because the resort had a sand dollar promotion, we were able to upgrade our room to an oceanfront. The room was nice with beautiful views. The promotion also provided a $50 a day food a drink credit which kept the final cost down. The beach was beautiful with tiki umbrellas and lounge chairs. There are 4 restaurants on site as well as a deli/general store. The food was average which is why I give this resort 4 stars. Take advantage of the great resta... Read more
