Yes, that is right. The general manager at this hotel knew that my boyfriend & I were going to be spending my 27th birthday at the Renaissance on Aruba, and Koen made arrangements for champagne and birthday cake (with a candle) to be delivered to my room in Aruba. THAT MY FRIEND, is SERVICE. Gosh, the Marriot is in the perfect location. You need a rental car. No way could you walk to any of the spectacular beaches i.e., (Grote Knip). Booked this way back in Oct 2015 for our May 2016 visit - got a great rate on an oceanfront king 1 bedroom suite with 5th night free plus daily resort credit. May 2016 finally arrived and we just wrapped up our 7 day visit. Room 337 was perfect- one set of windows overlooked the beach and the other the pool. You could see both from the large balcony. It was steps away from all the places you'd want to spend the most time. We had a big bathroom with separate tub and shower and a little outdoor... Read more

This was our second stay at this hotel. Not as stellar as our visit last year. The positives: porters, pool staff.Room was clean, good view. Rooms don't get serviced until early afternoon- ( be sure to leave a note for extra towels; you will need them) The negatives; one of the elevators was down for 3 days, normally not an issue but I was dealing with a back issue during this visit so it was and we were on the third floor. They don't give "refrigerators" in rooms unless you request, just "cool... Read more

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon the last week in April. We stayed in an oceanfront room on the third floor. The room was part of the presidential suite. It was spacious as well as the bathroom was spacious. Loved the sheets and pillows so much so that we were able to buy them off of the Marriott website to use at home. My family of 4 went to this hotel last summer. Very nice hotel, very clean. We were lucky we has a re-done room. (you should know before hand after reading reviews some of the rooms are "tired" It should not be a surprise) The beach was awesome - great waves and spectacular snorkeling. Pool was very nice and never too crowed. My one grip was the food was extremely expensive ?? to feed a family of four you are looking at well over $100 USD per meal with services charges and taxes. We stay almost exclusively in Marriott properties. I think the staff at the Curacao resort may be some of the kindest we've ever encountered. We stayed for six nights which provided a nice perspective. Our oceanfront room was in need of a bit of updating but we didn't come to Curacao to spend the day in our room. My husband enjoyed a massage and our family used the fitness center. During the week it was quiet and lovely, almost serene. Over the weekend, it became loud - meaning guests were still... Read more

This is a nice and clean property. The outside landscape is quite pleasant as well. Nothing extraordinary about this property. The hotel is a little out dated and the check in department should be properly staffed at all times. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay at this location.

The rooms are somewhat dated and the carpet needs cleaning. The staff is the only reason the resort received "3". Food was offensively overpriced. The staff was great, the view is exquisite, the rooms are nice and comfortable. I'd come back here again. The casino is OK for this area. I really didn't come here for the casino but it was OK. The craps table is open around 9 and if the staff is willing to open it. Roullette, 5 card stud, black jack, and slot machines are also there.

Beautiful lobby, staff very friendly, rooms were average and in need of a remodel, but who spends much time in your room when at an island! Had printed directions to everywhere we wanted to go... pool was just outside our room. Delicious food..breakfast buffet and Emerald Lounge.

The hotel grounds and pool area are beautiful. The rooms need work and some re-doing. The staff were just great. Very friendly, helpful... The food in the sports bar needs some work. It was not very good. Elevators were broken in several spots, so we had to lug our suitcases up flights of stairs.
