If you exit out the side entrance, walk out 50' and you can catch the frequently arriving tram to downtown and be there in no more than 10'. Fare is 10 kunas(6 kunas to the dollar). You can buy a ticket at any newsstand. The Westin may have them for sale. They are good for 1 1/2 hours anyplace on the system. No parking or traffic problems.

We stayed at the Westin for 3 nights at the end off a tour.. The hotel has very nice and expansive public areas. The rooms are nice, not exceptional. Breakfast is good. The bar is very expensive for Zagreb. On Tues. May 10 our room was not serviced and we had to call for towels late in the afternoon. The major incident that was upsetting occurred when we were leaving. Descending the elevator, we heard a terrible noise, a crash and something hitting the roof of our car. The eleva... Read more

The Westin has a great location, it is near the city center and you can go by foot. For me the most important thing when I travel is the buffet and the service. Both are very satisfying. The employess who work at the reception are very kind and helpful!

This hotel totally belies the brand Westin. The rooms are fatigued, carpets should have been replaced at least a year or 2 ago. The bathroom does not have enough towels. The tea/coffee kettle was stained and poor quality. There was no complimentary water in the room. When checked with front desk I was informed that the room rate had been negotiated such that water was not provided. Makes me wonder if international brands have any standards to maintain? Do they negotiate on the brand image of... Read more

We held our annual conference at The Westin. 30 international delagates attended the 5 day, highly successful event. The hotel is centrally located in the city of Zagreb. Tram stations are a stone throw away. Building is a typical 80s construction however all the ammenities and fixtures are modern and up to date. Flatscreen TV, nice bathroom and very comfortable bed forms the confluence of a three part harmony. Conference and Meeting Rooms have sweeping panoramic views of entire Zagreb city from... Read more

We stayed here as part of a bus group, the rooms were quite spacious, very clean and comfortable and includes a bath. We had a buffet dinner on our first night, excellent food, and the breakfasts were very good as well. The hotel is located just a short 10 to 15 mins from the centre of the city, so perfectly located.

It is fundamentally a business hotel with a few tour groups thrown in for good measure. Architecturally undistinguished, but nice. A good walk or short taxi ride from the center of the action for Zagreb....cafes, etc. However very conveniently located for some of the major museums. Service, particularly the reception desk staff, was friendly and efficient. Rooms are what you would expect at a business traveler-oriented Westin---well appointed but fairly charmless. This is a nice hotel in a good location. Can easily walk to the main area of Zagreb. Room was just fine, clean and comfortable (we stayed on an spg floor - don't know if that has impact on room quality). The pool and gym are nice. Other people have commented that the wifi isn't good, but we were able to stream a tv show on our laptop in on our room! The only downside is the expensive parking. I think it was 19 euros! And the front desk told us it was a "special deal" for guests hahahha. Overall ... Read more

I stayed at the Westin in Zagreb 3 nights in June, 2016. I enjoyed my stay. The room was large, particularly by European standards. The bed was very comfortable. The bed linen was amazingly comfortable. Not exactly sure why it was so great, because I have slept on high thread count linen before, but this was a cut above. Heavenly! The amenities and rooms of this hotel were very good. The breakfast and dinner buffet were rich with options for everyone. However, they need to up their service a little, especially on occasions when the reception or restaurant are full as we have instances where we r still waiting for things we ordered.

This is a good centrally located hotel. Its in a good section right downtown across from the museum and close to the opera house. Many things are within walking distance. If you donâ??t want to walk the tram stops nearby. I received an upgrade and the room was good. I especially liked the shower and westin mattress. Some might object to the missing alarm clock, but I never use it and unplug it. Everything was clean and working. The wifi worked fine, but did have to revalidate everyday. ... Read more

I am a long time Westin and SPG customer so I know that Westin does not let you down. And so it was for the Westin Zagreb. The hotel is conveniently located near the city center, although this time (differently from my other reviews) I cannot say it is very well positioned, but not because it is not, but becase, travelling for business, I really did not have the time to understand and orientate in Zagreb. I regretted so much choosing Westin over the Esplanade hotel because of being a SPG because of the sight of the most raggedy worn bathrobe in my room in this Westin. Location: In the City like many Westin in Europe property is Not in the most central location, accessible by tram and bus. This hotel does not live up to its ranking. The rooms and corridors are dull and worn. The breakfast buffet, though substantial, ran out of the smoked trout.
