Recently renovated with nice interior design in a historic building. Staff is very homy like in a mom & pop hotel. Breakfast (included in the price) is marvelous. Taxis service to the airport in early in the morning is very convenient. Yet, the price is modest at around $120/stay (which can be much higher in the peak season).

We arrived a bit late but we're delighted that the bellman seemed to make an extra effort to arrange parking for our rented car. It seems that center city parking is not easy to come by. There were some dry pastries and water waiting in the lobby for guests. The hotel is center city and not expensive! The in hotel seemed inviting but we never got to it. Breakfast was part of our bill and satisfactory. The hotel was quiet and well maintained. They made no effort to make guests aware of ava... Read more

We chose this hotel mainly because of the excellent location, but were very pleasantly surprised at the lovely old world charm of this hotel. Recently renovated, it has kept the best of its architectural features, but enhanced the rooms with modern touches. Comfortable bedding, modern bathrooms, good tv services with several English language channels, fast free wifi, and friendly, helpful staff. It is a short walk to all the major attractions, while the local trams pass and stop, right outsid... Read more

Pay attention to the notice on the desk in your room - NOT in the bathroom - that says that if you do ANY washing of clothes - yes, one pair of bikini underwear - and leave it to dry anywhere, they will take it, wash and dry it AGAIN AND CHARGE YOU FOR IT. My pillow was awful - like a huge sofa cushion before they replaced it and my TV would not go on. Not a bad hotel but there has to be a more accommodating one.

Room was clean, beds comfortable and location was very convenient to all Old Town sights. Amazing breakfast buffet included in our Expedia rate. We had 2 singles and were able to sleep with the windows open. Small room, but we were only there for sleeping. There was a tv but we didn't turn it on. Wifi worked just fine.

Stopped for 2 nights here. Was quite a walk from the bus station to this hotel however it was centrally located for exploring zagreb. 5 mins from catherdral and the main street with bars / restaurants. The breakfast had a good selection of foods available. The room was clean and comfortable. The only fault with the room was the door to bathroom you had to really slam it to get it to shut. Staff were friendly and helpful and gave us a map of the city centre.

This hotel is not only historic but has all of the modern amenities as well. The room was clean and quite large and the staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel assisted us with getting us set up with Wanderer Travel for our day trips to Plitvice Lakes and a day trip to the Istrian peninsula and I will never forget my stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Palace Hotel in Zagreb for just one night in transit from Bled in Slovenia back to Heathrow. We travelled from Bled via train and arrived into Glavni Kolodvor main train station. The hotel is in a good location just a short walk from The train station straight down through the Strossmayer. We managed this no problem pulling our suitcases. Getting to Zagreb airport from the hotel is equally easy and the cheapest way is public transport. We paid a total 80 Kuna for 2 people,... Read more

Clean and friendly quality hotel beside a beautiful park and near the old town main square. View from the 4th floor was wide and ample. However, the uppermost floor caused some challenges with the water pressure, especially when flushing the toilet. The breakfast was tasty and versatile but the black coffee from the coffee machine was undrinkable even for a caffeine addict like myself. Luckily, there is a wonderful cafeteria adjacent to the hotel. Taxi service to airport worked well. The personn... Read more

We arrived at 12 pm , too early for check in at 2pm which was fine so left our bags with the very offhand man at reception. Ideally situated between the Upper and Lower towns of Zagreb and so convenient to both, the Palace Hotel provides elegance and comfort. The room was very comfortably appointed and had every comfort we needed for our 2 night stay.

The hotel is very well located, maybe in the best place in Zagreb, at the heart of the city. It is very historical as well, it is obvious as you can see in the pictures several well-known people that have stayed in this hotel in the past. Other than that, the hotel is basic in most of the things. Nothing is bad maybe, breakfast or rooms but nothing is special either.
