The brochure and description sounded fantastic but was not was at it seemed. It would be a great place if you want to be out of touch with the outside world but for us it was too quiet. No papers no english tv . No beaches and all the bars close before twelve a nice place but not just for us. Hotel is ok and clean and staff and locals nice all i can say is its up to you if you like peace and quiet thid is the place for you

What an amazing place. Beautiful location and a great selection of restaurants to choose from around the hotel. Staff in the hotel were very courteous and helpful with local information. We had a room with a balcony which was perfect for sun bathing and watching the sunset.

My wife and I went here last summer, it was a bit of a last minute thing but it was so good we're going back this year. When we arrived we were told there had been a mistake with our booking, (usually this would lead to a nightmare holiday but not this time). The young lady at reception couldn't have been more apologetic and helpful, she gave us the managers own room! All in all a great holiday in beautiful and relaxing suroundings.

Amazing place - beautiful location. Great room with balcony.Good restaurant & bar. Hotel staff at all levels charming and can't do enough for you. Excellent information on trips & things to do. Good for water activities , walking & cycling. Great little restaurants near to hotel serving local produce. Small beach a little disappointing perhaps as the season had only just begun. Advise you take bathing shoes as protection against sea urchins.Would highly recommend this place if you wish to chill... Read more

Stayed here in May 2016 as part our first package holiday for decades now that we're free of children. We were really impressed. This hotel is located at the end of a long sea inlet in a very quiet village and the scenery really is impressive and unspoilt. The hotel itself is new and our sea facing room on the first floor was large, light and airy and spotlessly clean with daily house keeping. The room had aTV and air conditioning as well as secure safe big enough to store valuables, iPad etc. T... Read more

This is a lovely hotel with a stunning location. Good choice of food at breakfast. Had one meal in the evening and the food was lovely. There is 5 restaurants close by which are all good with freshly cooked food . Resort fabulous for walking or cycling. We got on the ferry 4 out of the 7 days to explore Dubrovnik and nearby islands. There is no pool (we knew before we went) and the pebbled beach was tiny and covered in rubbish. Most rooms do not have a balcony, which we missed, but there was a ... Read more

Hotel Sipan was awesome! In a stunning location overlooking Sipan Bay, tranquil evenings sipping cocktails overlooking the sun set over the bay. Beautiful church up some steps to the back of the hotel with churchbells every hour (only noise across the island as it is a sleepy little fishing village).Choice of doing activities - kayaking and cycling. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Speed boat leaving the bay every morning to Dubrovnik. Immaculate rooms, cleaned every day. Sun lounge... Read more

Myself and my 3 sisters stayed at hotel sipan early May 2016. The hotel itself is pretty basic but very clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our week on sipan immensely and didn't want to leave. Having said that though it's not for everyone it is a very quiet location with a handful of restaurants. What made it for us was the scenery which is breathtaking and the very friendly people we met. Totally chilled out week, good food, good cocktails, good local wine. Would... Read more

This is a fabulous hotel in a fabulous location. The service is excellent from all staff especially the Reception team who go out of their way to help you. The rooms are more than adequate, although if I was nitpicking I would have liked some drawers and tea making facilities. The view from our room was incredible(worth paying extra for a sea view). Easy to get around the island(we walked a lot and got the bus). Also very easy to catch the ferry to and from Dubrovnik which we did twice. The... Read more

Our recent stay at Hotel Sipan was excellent. A warm welcome on arrival, our room was compact(for 2 female travellers with a lot of luggage) but very well presented and comfortable. There was a small fridge in the room which was an unexpected bonus. All meals that we had there were tasty and reasonably priced. Reception staff were very helpful with queries regarding the island and trips to the mainland. Beautiful location, we walked to the other side of the island and felt that we made the righ... Half way through my two week stay I really like this hotel but, I have no balcony to sit on, most rooms don't. It's very smart like a business hotel and this is great but I would go for a bit more rustic to get the balcony. Breakfast is great, dinner is good but it can get very busy - lots of yachts visit this resort and the put too much demand on the restaurant. Last night was great pick your table - tonight was packed and we had to go some where else. There are some larger groups here, are the... Read more

Excellent boutique hotel, with really exceptional staff. Did their very best to take care of us and all the enquiries we made. The junior suite we had was good, though the bathroom was a little small for a well-built person. Our thanks to all the staff. The overall area was adequately served by five or six restaurants and the location was very tranquil. Lots of walks to make, plus local transport and boat trips to Ston too. All in all a very pleasant, relaxing holiday.

From the minute we waked in the hotel door we were made to feel welcome. In fact it began with the transfer by boat and bus! The location, room, food, staff, facilities, etc. were all fantastic. It was such a lovely, relaxing experience. It could be faulted for not having a swimming pool but that to us was one of its charms especially with a crystal clear sea in front of it. And the island has so much to offer - eating, drinking, walking, cycling & kayaking. For me the experience was even more s... Read more

We spent one night in this hotel. It and the village in which it's situated, Sipanska Luka, was a very calm peaceful contrast to the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik and Gruz, where we spent most of the rest of our holiday. The hotel is scrupulously clean and up to date, with modern en suite rooms. The library/lounge on the ground floor is a nice retreat and we had breakfast on the patio outside the serving area. There were plenty of items to choose from. We came over on a Jadrolinija ship an... Read more

A beautiful romantic retreat, lovely people and fabulous scenery. Hotel Sipan is immaculately clean, a room with a sea view is perfect. Restaurants nearby are all good, reasonable prices and good quality wines. Transport to Dubrovnik is simple and cheap. A treasure of a find.

the "superior room" was spacious, clean, minimally decorated and modern. the breakfast was tasty and filling. the scenary of our room was amazing. the majority of the restaurants and shops on the island (which are only a handful anyway ū???) don't accept euros or even credit cards so have local money on you because sometimes the atms run out of cash. great spot to go kayaking. we explored some small islands :)

Stayed here for 5 nights (probably about the right amount of time) and thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility of the island and great service from the hotel staff. We arranged a transfer with the hotel from the airport, which was faultless but quite expensive (approx £100). The hotel itself is clean and tidy, if a little bit tired in parts, but the bedroom was comfortable and well serviced - good shower room too. Towels were changed daily and toiletries replenished. We were on the second floor with... Read more

We stayed here in July 2016 nice enough very clean but few thing need a bit if attention but no big deal. One thing that was a hassle was the lift was turned of every morning with an out of order sign hung on it, so if you find stair a problem ask for low floor. Breakfast same every morning but did have good choice. View from hotel is wow and the hotel is the centre of everything. Prices in hotel good not a rip of. All in all good base for holiday. The staff of this hotel in Sipanska Luka are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed some simple but delicious meals of grilled fish, seafood risotto and local cheeses and wines, perfect on a hot summer's night, sitting on the small harbour-facing restaurant terrace. It is a lovely spot to watch the boats and ferries coming in and out. We hired some of the hotel kayak and enjoyed a morning's kayaking around the coast, and also did a day trip to Dubronvik. Ok that's in my opinion but it is amazing! Take a look at some of the photos I have added. Hotel Sipan is absolutely gorgeous, both inside and outside. The view of the hotel from Sipanska Luka promenade is amazing, the view of the island and harbour from the front of the hotel is amazing, the desk staff are polite, and extremely helpful with bus and ferry timings. The decor is lovely, and there is a gorgeous room filled with books for some quiet time. The wifi is free and works great. The rooms ... Read more
