We stayed here a few years ago, and the the amount of negative reviews for this place has prompted me to leave one of my own. We loved it, but if you are expecting a brand new resort and cushy comfort, this isn't for you. We chose to stay here because we specifically wanted to stay in older, historic hotels for our trip through Europe, not a new place that had no history or culture. This place did not disappoint! It was a stunning hotel, and it's easy to imagine it many years ago in all of its g... Read more

We booked through booking.com and loved the convenience to everything, the ferry port, the old town and a lovely park. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning, fans or screens on the windows so we were attacked by mosquitos and heat. Our stay was very uncomfortable and we tried to change to a different floor hoping it would be cooler. We were told the hotel had no available rooms. This was not true. The two floors below were empty of occupants.

The hotel sits in a large building right in front of the Pula Marina and with views to the arena. It is a very old building pretty badly maintained. There is no air-conditioning at rooms and the bathroom smells badly. There is no Wi-Fi in rooms; just at the lobby. I have not tried breakfast as the staff said it would not be worth it. It is a shame, because the building is huge and it could be a amazing hotel with very little investment. Goods: price, and its localization next to the arena, bus... Read more

This building is iconic, very old from the Yugoslav era and if walls could speak I'm sure they'd have a few interesting stories to tell. The hotel itself is virtually untouched and you can almost see what life would have been like here in it's day. The hotel has a fascinating eerie sense about it and truly felt like taking a step back in time. We had two rooms, one with a fantastic view of the amphitheatre and another with a stunning view of the bay and islands. Sure it lacked in aircon and a fe... Read more
