Definetely the best cakes i've ever eaten. You can't go to Opatia and don't visit hotel Milenij at least to try some cake. Even it was a bad weather, Opatija was looking beautifull and the hotel is located in the very center. The view is spectacular! Also love the decoration of the hotel and the stuff was very friendly and proffesional. Well done!

Very comfortable and clean hotel with spa in one of the most historic tourist destination in the world. Highly recommend for runners and walkers due to 'lugo mare' path fright by the sea.. gorgeous at any season...

I've spent a few months in this hotel, mainly because of business. Located in heart of Opatija this hotel offers a lot to his guests, from a beautiful view to excelent vine and dine. Restaurant "Argonauti", wienna style coffe house "Wagner". Every thing about Milenij hotel is great except one thing! In heart of the season a quality of service is a little bit low, counting their stars i expected a much better service. And that is something they should be worry about, because i think i am not the ... Read more

The staff couldn't be more helpful. Our room had a view of the water and while not spacious was very nice. Breakfast was included and I couldn't have imagined more variety of foods fruit, pastry, cheeses, meats, fish, vegetables and staff making eggs to order. Quite a meal. The hotel has a swimming pool, hot tub and a spa. The restaurant on site is first class offering al fresco dining with a magnificent view.

This long standing hotel is living off its previous laurels. It has a fantastic location in Opatija with beautiful views of the sea across manicured gardens. It has a lovely terrace for cocktails or breakfast. But that is where is stops. Rooms are tired and as many are either on the street or the side of the building, noisy. Minor repairs needed in the room. Service is pathetic. A martini arrived with all red vermouth and a ripe olive. The Aperol spritzer was bitter. Dinner service was absolutel... Read more

We haven't yet checked out but I wanted to alert others before they book--it was 26.8 C/83.5 F when we checked into our room. We asked the staff person who brought up our luggage to help us adjust the thermostst. He asked if 21 C/69.8 F would be OK. Of course!! Well the problem is is never got below 24.4 C/76 F and we checked in 16 hours ago. We've had the windows closed but the air conditioning is not running. No fan, nothing. It's too hot to enjoy.

From the minute we arrived was this hotel a jackpot! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The restaurant and the cafe was excellent - food and service really good! The rooms are big although not very stylish! The view of the room was stunning! It is surely a hotel u can recommend to stay! We loved it and if we come back to Opatija we will stay here again! Top!

We enjoyed a glass of Prosecco on the very picturesque outdoor terrace, looking over the sea. Everything was wonderful - the view, the wine, the waiter, even the ladies toilets! The hotel looks fantastic and I'm tempted to go back to actually stay there!

As previously mentioned air con could be stronger and TV was outdated. Overall though, friendly luxury hotel offering classic, old school luxury

This was a lot of fun and delicious. The tasting is the floor below the lobby of the hotel. There you can watch as they make the chocolates and then have tastes of a variety on the table. There was both a milk chocolate and a white chocolate fountain with cookies or chocolates to dip. As I am a chocoholic, I ate my fair share. You can also purchase chocolates downstairs in prepackaged boxes along with other gift items. If you want to choose your own chocolates, there is a place in the lobby to d... Read more

I would like to begin this review by thanking Amelia( sorry if spelled wrong) for your warmth and generosity. We were placed in the newly renovated deluxe suite with full ocean view and town view. To say that this room was both chic, beautiful, comfortable would be an understatement. The room had two magnificant huge balconies to view the mountains, the town and the sea. We felt like royalty. We stayed three nights at this hotel as an extension of a cruise. Absolutely amazing hotel. Our room was a standard suite; partial city and ocean view on the 6th floor. We sat in for a beer because they have a nice view on the sea but they don't serve tap beers only small bottled beers for a price of 4 euros. Waiters with artificial smile. If you are rich and snob and want to show off then this is your place. Otherwise it's better go a bit towards Ika and you find nicer and better cafés.

Beautiful hotel great staff. No direct access to a private beach but the public beach (concrete) was nearby. Meals were good but be very aware of being persuaded to buy fish by the kilo without knowing how much it will cost finally in the bill. We had a fish which was far too big we thought, the waiter said it would be OK and it cost £58 more than the rest of the meal and wine. Breakfast on the terrace was very classy with champagne every day.

I was at the beach.... Fancy an ice cream...... I walked a lot untill I found a beautiful place with lovely decoration, nice looking desserts, and coffee / tea room. The girl was polite but not very smily I think is a Croat signature ....they don't smile a lot, but the waitress serving was very professinal. Definitely I recommend this place for ice cream.

We were looking for a place to eat something sweet and noticed almost full terrace after which we thought it's worth a try. I ordered white chocolate cake with berries and my girlfriend ordered ice cream. Both was extremely delicious and we were more than happy to see the price was only 40 kunas, considering the location and high season. Recommend!

The overall hotel lobby & terrace are beautiful; old world style...however, the rooms could use a facelift! We had a bit of an incident; the bathroom had shower gel but no shampoo and no sign for the door; told the front desk before going out, when we returned at 4pm, the sign on the door said "Do Not Disturb" and the room was not made. Told the front desk who were very apologetic but we had to wait in the lobby for 1/2 hr. until the room was made due to an error on the maid's part. They did se... Read more

Beautiful setting, friendly, helpful staff, extensive range of delicious food. This spa hotel was a fabulous find for us and we finish the two weeks truly relaxed and happy. The location was ideal also, with the main shopping street right outside with regular entertainment, yet the hotel rooms were still quiet.

This hotel was booked as part of a package on a trip that included land and sea -- Zagreb, 7 days along the Adriatic coast and ending with three days in Opatija. The hotel was all it was advertised to be and was in a great location with all of the "hotspots" of Opatija within easy reach. Also, Opatija was a great jumping off spot for explorations of the Istrian Peninsula. I had a few days to give the hotel a chance for redemption and they came through so my review went from a 1 to a 4. If not for the first night it would have been a 5 so that goes on the shoulders of the night staff when we got in at 11pm. Let me vent: What a disappointment. We stayed here for a week during one of the hottest periods of the summer. It was worth every penny just for the location. The hotel is located on the promenade next to the paved sunbathing area in the centre of Opatija. I could not say enough good things about this hotel. First, it is absolutely stunning, from the hotel itself to the location and views thats it has. The staff was extremely friendly. When we arrived there was a small problem with the room we booked so we were unable to stay in the sea view room, but they made sure to compensate us in anyway that we could. This is rated 5*. It is priced this way but it's not. Sun beds and parking are charged as extras. the cost per room was well over 200 euro per night. We booked with Prestige Holidays a Superior room at the Milenij for September 2015. The hotel is nicely placed at one end of the main bay in Opatija. Our room was large and had two juliet balconies with different views out over the pool and garden area and beyond into the bay and the town. This pricey hotel is in a good location. Rooms are good, but not 5 star. A/C did not work properly and we had someone look at it, but they said that was the way it worked, so the nights were quite uncomfortable. The redeeming feature of this hotel is breakfast outside, surrounded by flowers, sea views, good food. But generally, hard to justify the price.
