I cannot praise this hotel enough. I travelled with five friends and we all agreed that we felt very well looked after and warmly welcomed to this beautiful place. It is approx 10 mins drive from Hvar centre. The rooms were spotless and any requests were carried out promptly. Nothing was too much trouble. The local church bells ring nearby at 6am for those who dislike early morning noise. There are lovely walks and small pebble beaches in front of the hotel. Looking forward to a return visit in... Well run friendly hotel. Spacious clean rooms with somewhere to put clothes! Extensive menu and food superb so that we ate in each evening. Stayed 3 nights. Family always happy to chat and provide information. Highly Recommend.

This hotel is not directly in the popular downtown spot of Hvar but nicely tucked away on the water. Nice water access. Hotel itself was nice and breakfast was good. Not the most luxurious spot but still very clean and the rooms decently sized.

Just spent three days with my wife at La Fortuna. Great place, spotless property, great value. Everyone is so friendly and they take great pride in their work. Close to town but away from all the downtown noise. Check it out its worth it

I stayed in Hotel Fortuna for 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My first experience of this was when I first booked the hotel. I booked a non-refundable room through Expedia, however I had unfortunately booked an additional night by accident. I emailed the hotel directly and they were happy to refund me the price of the room minus the Expedia commission, which was more than expected. Marino, one of the managers also said he would pick us up from Hvar po... Read more

We loved every minute of our stay here, not only is the beach just outside the hotel but the Restaurant was amazing! Hats off to the chef and all the staff. We tried many local dishes and each better than the previous one. Definitely the highlight of my trip when it comes to food. The staff were all friendly, helpful with great suggestions. Rooms are gorgeous and spacious. Thanks for everything!

We spent 6 days at the Hotel Fortuna in May and enjoyed every moment of our stay. Magda couldn't have been a more perfect host, attending to all our needs and making sure we were comfortable at all times. Marino was also very helpful in day to day driving to Hvar and organising a hire car. The room we had on the second floor was very modern and comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out on the balcony and spare room. We enjoyed great meals, including breakfast at Hotel Fortuna. There are 8 other ... Read more

. Milna is approx 10 mins from Hvar town by car and is an ideal base if your looking for some peace and relaxation but with access to Hvar Town for shopping/nightlife. Milna is situated right on the coast and consists of approx 10 restaurants/ bars etc all offering a mixture of menus. Fresh fish features prominently. All have amazing fews and some even offer a "water taxi" service from/to your yacht moored in the local bay. Hotel Fortuna is a family owned / run hotel located alongside the beach.... Read more

Hotel Fortuna is a perfect retreat on Hvar. Away from Hvar Town in the picturesque village of Milna, Hotel Fortuna sits right on the beach. Front facing rooms have big balconies that look out over the beach, and the restaurant terrace is right on the beach. The hotel itself is IMMACULATE. Not a spot anywhere! Gleaming! Reception is right off to the side of the restaurant (which is BIG -- a breakfast room, a main dining room, an outdoor seating area, and a beach terrace across the street). We ... Read more

This hotel is an efficiently run place just 5 minutes outside of Hvar. Avoid the hordes of tourists of Hvar and stay here to wake up to the sound of the sea in peace and quiet. The rooms are nice and clean, newly renovated. Marino (see pictures) is a top bartender.

We chose Hotel Fortuna as it was near Hvar and away from the hustle & bustle, it is a 10 minute drive away by car. This hotel is so relaxing and the staff can't do enough for you. They are happy to take you to other places on the island for a small fee and when you are ready to come back they will come and pick you up. The rooms are lovely, so clean, beautifully decorated and have the best showers I've ever had! There are various restaurants in Milna but the hotel's was one of the best. The... Read more

We loved it, such an oasis right on the beach & out of Hvar town which is very very busy. This family run hotel made our stay an absolute delight...nothing was too much trouble...our only complaint was we didn't stay long enough

we left Mlini and took the the ferry to this wonderful hotel on paradise. This family run hotel is located perfectly on the island. close enough to the square but away enough for peace and quiet. The rooms were great and the family's hospitality were like being in your own home. I absolutely loved my time her and can wait to go back! The food is excellent, the beaches are breathtaking , and again the people. such wonderful kind people!

Service- warm welcome from Josephine (whose family owns the hotel) who gave us a great overview of activities around the location. The hotel also offers 24/7 taxi service to the city making it very convenient. Pebble beach is right at your doorstep Rooms- felt like our own mini studio apartment. Modern and clean room. Comfortable bed, sofa and coffee table and a cute balcony to take in the views.

The hotel stuff, actually the family, gave us an warm welcome and explained a little bit history of the small village Milna and surroundungs. We've got room with balcony on 3rd floor, with direct sea view. Furniture in the room is comfortable, as well the bathroom. There is also big refrigerator in the room. We bought fruit in the nearby kiosk daily and kept it fresh in it. Because we are not fans of sunbathing on the beach, we used to rest on the balcony. We were actually only some meters away ... Words can't explain how awesome Hotel Fortuna is. Location is amazing with the beach right on your doorstep, delicious food and drinks, Hvar town a short shuttle from the hotel away and the hospitality of Marino and his family was just the best. Can't recommend a stay here highly enough, will definitely be back.

We stayed at Hotel Fortuna in 9 days, early in july 2016. The hotel is perfect, and the service is excellent. We really loved the Tudor family and their hospitality. The hotel are perfect placed, close to the sea and its 4-5 very nice restaurants near by. The food at the hotel is also very, very good. We highly recommend a stay at hotel Fortuna and the Tudor family.

This hotel is away from Hvar - approx 10mins in a car. It's a family run hotel, and they go every mile to make your stay enjoyable. George (the owner) and his wife were very accommodating. The breakfast and food at restaurant was very good too. The hotel can pick you up for free from the port on arrival, and they can also take you to and from town through a shuttle bus as needed (at a discounted rate - which becomes cheaper if there are more passengers going at the same time). We stayed here for 4 nights and couldn't have been happier. The location of the hotel, 10-15 minute ride from the main town/port of Hvar, is perfect. It was so quiet and tranquille. The small pebble beach was a stone's throw from the hotel and was perfect for sunbathing and swimming in the sea - I would recommend taking beach shoes rather than going barefoot. Great hotel and wonderful staff. Only 5km from Hvar town but felt miles away from noisy bars and crowds which is just what we wanted. After a lovely breakfast at the hotel it was just a few steps onto the beach. The food at the hotel was very good as was all the other restaurants we went to - but would say Fortuna was the best. Would definitely recommend if you prefer a place with no loud music - just a really relaxing time.

We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Fortuna at the end of our Croatian holiday. Having come from several other islands we knew that we did not want to stay in the middle of town with everyone else, rather we wanted a more relaxing environment. Milna and Hotel Fortunate provided just that. It is a small, family run hotel right on the beach and about a ten minute drive from port. Just spent four nights at Hotel Fortuna and absolutely loved it. It's a great base for visiting Hvar Town and surroundings but feels a world apart from the hustle and bustle. The hotel shuttle is really useful if you don't want the hassle of driving yourself. Milna itself has about 8 little restaurants too and is a lovely place to chill out. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fortuna. When we arrived, we were a little surprised that it was a 10 minute ride from town but that turned out to be great. It was very easy to get a ride into town from George and it was very relaxing. The room was clean and even had a little separate room as part of it with a couch and area to hang out. This family run hotel is excellent value away from the noise and commercialism of Hvar town. Our room on the top floor had a great view across the small bay and we spent the late afternoons on the balcony watching the world go past and the sun go down. Good breakfast all included. The owners could not have been more helpful. And very close to the excellent Lambik restaurant, a short walk away.
