Hotel staff the best, incredibly helpful, service spot on, smiles and a lightness of being which really made us feel comfortable. As per other 5 star reviews, v close to old city etc, we found breakfast v good, great bed and pillows, we had room without balcony but facing away from the road meany it was soooo quiet. I'm a light sleeper and this was the best hotel in years for quietness and a good sleep. Congrats to manager and all the staff, they've got it absolutely right.

We stayed 4 nights to celebrate my partners birthday. There was a reasonable selection of dishes for breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, going out of their way to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay but they went that extra mile when, totally unprompted, they brought a specially prepared birthday cake to our room. The room was superb (an executive room which included use of the executive lounge) with loads of space. The only down side was the bed which we both found extrem... Read more

The location can't be beat, just outside city walls. Note that if you find an apt in the city, you will be walking to it from either this gate or another. The hotel was typical hilton, but very good service, rooms, maids, etc. Now if you can't handle stairs, stay somewhere else. Two flights from street to lobby. 5 stairs to get out of lobby, 3 to get up elevators, one flight down to breakfast. They have elevators but who wants to wait for that. No big deal if you are mobile.

We asked our Balkan specialist travel agent to book this hotel after recommendation from the travel agent we usually use (Ultimate Travel Company in London). This is the closest 5 star hotel to old town and made walking anywhere a piece of cake. This was our first visit to Dubrovnik and our first stay in a Hilton Hotel. It will be the first of many visits. What an outstanding hotel! Firstly, the location was perfect, just a 5 minute walk from the main gate to the Old Town and a short walk to the cable car. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The staff at the hotel were excellent. Everyone we spoke to was friendly, polite and more than happy to assist with anything. The breakfast staff in particular were brilliant - very ef... Read more

After a disappointing stay at an AirBnB, we checked into the Hotel Imperial for our final night in Dubrovnik. We were greeted like family, given a spacious room in the building across the entry circle, and when we returned after a couple of hours with our luggage, found a lovely tray of dessert bites waiting for us in our room. Staff were uniformly friendly and welcoming. We visited the very nice fitness center. Morning breakfast was a sumptuous buffet of breads, pastries, eggs, meats, chees... Read more

We've stayed here three times over the past two years and the staff have always been friendly, helpful, efficient and nice. The hotel is at the entrance to the old town and you have to wind your way down to the water making it interesting to get to, especially if cruise ship excursions and tour groups are also trying to get to the old town, but it's well worth it. Winters are quieter though. There are two buildings on the premises, one of which closes during the winter, and they are both kept u... Read more

Excellent location, just outside Pile Gate. I paid for an upgraded room with a view of the old city and sea, with a large balcony. Room was large, beautiful, clean. The building and grounds are beautiful. I arranged an airport pick-up (the only negative is the hotel was not very responsive to email), which was a nice way to arrive, and the drive is spectacular. I did not use the hotel restaurant or bar. Recommended.

We booked a standard room for seven nights as a half-board package with Jet2 Holidays. We were delighted with the room, which was spacious, well appointed, elegant and immaculate. We had a pleasant view over the hotel entrance, facing the annex - flowers, historic buildings and green hills. We could not see the old city, but that did not detract from the view. On the table was a complementary tray of dessert tasters, and there was also a bottle of still mineral water, which was replaced daily ... Read more

Pommery Champagne Bar is an oasis in hectic Dubrovnik. On trees-shaded terrace, a level above the main street onto the ancient city walls, it is the perfect place to unwind. The Bellini and Rossini were smooth and easy to sip and the service was just as easy and not pandering. Drink prices were about 18 euros. Children welcome. Well worth it! Cheers!

It's a old style hotel with nice updates/renovations to make it very comfortable. Just outside the old city walls makes it the perfect location. The hotel has a good gym and indoor pool. If your arriving by car they have parking facilities which is rare in Dubrovnik. We have tried staying at a range of Airbnb before trying this hotel and it's much easier with an old city like Dubrovnik to stay at a hotel like this.

It has a fantastic location 2 mins from the Pile Gate and extremely convenient for pick ups and collections ( Most of the Dubrovnik trips pick up at this hotel). It is a couple of minutes away from the sea were you can hire Jet Skis kayaks etc. We stayed on the 4th floor in an executive room. We stayed at the Hilton Grand Imperial hotel for 3 nights in August. We were upgraded to a sea view suite which was probably one of the best views you can get of the old town and the Adriatic Sea. We stayed in the Hilton Imperial at the beginning of August and the experience was fantastic. With access to the executive lounge (Hilton Honors member) we were treated each morning to breakfast with a view of the Old Town. Everyone was friendly and helpful - from dinner locations to day trip recommendations. After touring the city during the day the very clean and air-conditioned modern room was a true sanctuary. Finding little sweet treats next to the bed when we arrived was a nice touch.

Wonderful location by the old city gates makes visiting the city (or walking through it to the port to take a ferry to one of the islands) easy. The staff could not be more helpful. Rooms and bathrooms as expected of a Hilton but, as this is a modern hotel in an old building, they are more varied and characterful than many others in this chain. All that is missing is a handy beach.

I should preface this review by saying that I travel a lot for work (2-3 trips per month), lucky enough to normally stay in 5* hotels like the Four Seasons, Shangri-La, Ritz Carlton, Park Hyatt, etc., and am based in Asia. With that said, for anyone who travels a lot in Asia, I would say you should adjust your expectations of this hotel down a notch. A wonderful hotel in a brilliant position. The staff from before we arrived with the organisation of transport from the airport and during our stay were excellent. Everyone in the hotel from the room maid to the staff at breakfast, the executive lounge staff to the reception team were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful. Our room with balcony and sunbeds with stunning views over the old town and fort was great. The little touch of champagne for my husband and my wedding anniversary wa... Read more

We were in Dubrovnik 10 years ago and stayed at the Pucic Palace, at the time only one of two hotels in the walled city. This year after a cruise we needed to stay another night and chose the Hilton Imperial. We had a large king size room in the annex "palace" across from the main entrance. The corner room was well equipped and very comfortable. We had a view of the Adriatic through one of our windows. The staff was very congenial, and had we wanted to we could have easily visited the walle... Read more

Great location, impeccable service, amazing views. And don't miss the amazing, troubling photos of the hotel afire during the shelling in the 90s war. They've done a perfect job of restoring its grandeur.

Just stayed 3 nights with the plan to explore Dubrovnik. Ideal in every way. I contacted Vedran the concierge before we arrived. He was excellent, he arranged our transfers from and to the airport and made restaurant reservations for us, all went like clock work. We had access to the executive lounge, which we like. Being so close to the old town we came back for refreshments (free in the executive lounge) during the day which includes cakes in the afternoon. Then we made use of the free bar and... Read more

We stayed there for 3 nights last month, the hotel is just outside the old town and more or less opposite the airport shuttle bus stop. Excellent 5 stars hotel, specious room and delicious breakfast, service is fantastic too, can't find anything else to complain about it, except perhaps the changing room in the gym is a bit small and basic compare with the luxury environment of the hotel.

We stayed at the Hilton back in September 16. This was my 2nd trip to Dubrovnik and we decided to stay at the Hilton due to it's location. It's ideal if you want to be in the centre of everything. The hotel is charming and fits into the stunning surroundings of Dubrovnik. What really made the stay was the amazing staff. Mario Matkovic the General Manager went out of his way to look after us and ensure that we were well looked after. I can't recomend this hotel enough, Dubrovnik is one of th... Read more

Located two minutes?? walk from Dubrovnik Old City and buses to anywhere, the Hilton Imperial is ideally situated. It is comfortable; a bit tired in places but far exceeded our expectations. The facilities are marvellous and the staff are superb. They are friendly and cannot do enough for you. The breakfast is unbelievable, so much to choose from. I would not hesitate to recommend or indeed stay there again.

It has the name of a 5 stars hotell but I felt like in a lesser hotel. The best gain for this hotel is the excellent location. Otherwise I did not felt the personel to be so much helpful, was dissapointed about the location of the room, the noise and the lack of free shuttle to the airport, I had to pay a taxi quite a lot, 40 euros.

I highly recommend the Hilton. We came with our family. The rooms are clean. The location is perfect--just outside the city walls. Breakfast is wonderful. Finally, the staff was very helpful. I would stay there again!

The Dubrovnik Hilton Grand Imperial is BOTH!!! Grand AND Imperial. The location can't be beat and staff was top notch. Tremendously impressed. This is my idea of what a perfect "Hilton" experience should be. It's "pricier" than other places - but you GET what you pay for.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and made my stay memorable. The location is convenient to old town and is close to many of the tour starting points. Expect the staff to go beyond the normal customer service here. The breakfast was also very good.

This hotel is best placed for those wanting to explore the old town. It is situated 200m from the entrance to the old town, handy for the old port, tours, bus stop to other areas and taxis The bar is comfortable and the cocktails are good. The breakfast caters for all tastes and has an egg chef (cant be a fresh egg). Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are very friendly however steer clear of the room service. A big let down and it was brushed off at check out.

We stayed at this hotel due to it's close proximity to the old city walls and I'm so glad we did. The location is EXCELLENT but the best thing about this hotel was the staff and how welcome they made us feel. We were so pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received. The staff is very eager to please and help with anything you may need. They also go above and beyond by taking initiative to anticipate your needs like calling the night before check out to see if there is anything else th... Read more

The best feature of the hotel is the rich history and the location. Equally top notch is the staff, who accommodated my young family whenever the need arise. we asked for extra cutleries, extra bed, change of rooms, parking and retrieving our cars... all were met with swift responses. The best experience for us for our 5 night's stay was the breakfast every morning. The staff fell in love with our 3 year old girl and it was the thing she looked forward to each morning; not the fairy tale like ... Read more

The location of the hotel really make your trip better. This literally one minute walk from the hotel to the old town would make your whole trip more enjoyable. Ohh bought some gifts too heavy, no problem, bring them back to the hotel first. 6pm, done with some day trip, too early for dinner no problem, go up to the lounge for a drink first. Besides location, service is the best. we had a 4:30am pick up to the airport, when we checked out, they even packed the breakfast for us. I highly rec... Read more

The location of the Hilton in Dubrovnik is perfect if you are interested in being close to the old city and being able to walk everywhere. This historic hotel, while not modern, was well appointed, and extremely clean. We were on the Executive Floor of the hotel with access to the Lounge. While the lounge was small, the view from the balconies was beautiful. We met some lovely people while staying at the Hilton and enjoying the lounge. The only reason we didn't give this property a five sta... Read more

We stayed during our quick trip to Dubrovnik. We wanted to visit the old city and we're not disappointed. The hotel is just steps from the entrance. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Their English was perfect. They upgraded us to a room with a balcony overlooking the old city. The beds are super soft and comfortable, but the location is the best part and can't be beat.

We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. All the comments below about the friendliness of the staff, the delicious breakfast (gluten free bread), the confortable room, the views and the awesome location are all true. Our son used the gym and pool and be aware it is opened to non guests. We had an issue on our floor with noise coming from one of the bedrooms and it was dealt with very swiftly. Parking cost 150k per day, half of the normal rate. The town is 5 minutes walk away and the wal... Read more

This hotel is probably the most convenient location to the Old City. We had a nice balcony room on the 3rd floor and looked west towards the Adriatic and view. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. One of the best Hilton's you could stay at.
