Probably my favorite place on earth. I don't even have the words to express how beautiful, amazing and perfect this place is. The infinity pool is amazing and you look out over the private beach and ocean with lush tropical greenery. We had a private large tub with a giant window and watched scarlet macaws fly by many times. The beach is very isolated and private and the coliseum was truly magnificent. I cannot wait to return.

Absolutely an amazing place. Very clean & well kept. Employees were great...friendly, well dressed, there to please!!! The food was wonderful. I had fruit plate for breakfast, it was the most delicious fruit I have ever tasted! So peaceful & relaxing. I had a facial also decided to get a massage...get experience. I had the pleasure of meeting Denis Roy, such a sweetheart. I would recommend Villa Caletas to everyone. Thank you for an amazing experience! I can not wait to return some day!!!

I just spent four wonderful nights at Villa Caletas. This resort is high up with a wonderful view. The infinity pool is cool, but pleasant with stupendous views. A spacious pool are with small bar is inviting, The suite was large with a private jacuzzi. There are many steps to climb when going to your room. The front desk help were courteous and knowledgeable. A car is a necessity as the resort is 15 minutes from Jaco.

We came across Villa Caletas two years from a recommendation from a lovely couple in Jaco. They told us it was the best spot to see the sunset. Wow. They were so right! So 2 years later we came to spend our honeymoon. We stayed in Villa #30. Spectacular, stunning, beautiful! Our view was incredible. We overlooked the ocean and experienced the sunset from our balcony. The best surprise was the moonlight in the early morning. Breathtaking. Staff were so courteous and pleasant. Everyone shoul... I was pretty confident that Villa Caletas would be a decent gamble for my first trip to Costa Rica based on all the positive reviews and stunning photos. But they were no match for my initial amazement when setting foot in our Junior Superior suite room. It was incredible. Large and airy with an amazing view through the glass patio doors at the foot of the bed. And the private patio!!! It must have been 50-70 feet wide and with a view that you have to see to believe. The whole property is stunni... Read more

Villa Caletas is a MUST if you're in Jaco/Herradura area if you're in need for some R&R. From the moment we checked in until we departed, my boyfriend and I received such wonderful service from all of the employees we encountered and we couldn't have been more thankful. We stayed in a Junior Suite that looked over the Pacific, with our own private jacuzzi, which was just wonderful. The restaurant was very good as well, and the private beach was beautiful. We will definitely be back if we're ever... Read more

The Spa, Workout Room, Infinity Pool, Restaurant and Service are only surpassed by the view! OK, it's a long drive to the beach but you ARE on top of a mountain! It's simply dreamy and I highly recommend you staying a few nights at this place and a few nights down in Jaco right on the beach.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Stunning views, great food and a wonderful staff. Everyone so pleasant and courteous! Jockson in the cafe was so warm and funny, was such a pleasure to see and chat with him every morning. Carol in the concierge was so kind and helpful assisting us in selecting day trips and excursions. Highly recommend the private boat tour to Tortuga with Macho and his son Alex. Such a wonderful culture and people in Costa Rica. Can't wait to come back!

I was married at this hotel more than a decade ago, so I am quite partial to its concept and surroundings. The view is unparalleled and the amphitheater brilliant. However, on this trip we had already stayed at several 4-5 star accommodations all over Costa Rica, and compared to other similar properties Villa Caletas just isn't keeping up. Our bed in the junior suite was a hard--not luxurious--CR quality mattress, bed looked sunken in and well worn, bedding was worn and sandpapery (not the cris... Read more
