Our stay at the San Jose Tryp was very nice. The staff was extremely cordial and helpful. The property is very nice. Our room was very large which we really liked and the beds comfortable but overall the room was a little tired looking and could use new carpeting and the view was terrible but we were only there one night and we were busy most of our stay with exploring the town. The breakfast was fantastic and we all really enjoyed it. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and I would definitely ... Read more

We recently stayed at the Tryp Sabana. The first night was a Friday this April 2016 the room was nice, the staff courteous. Saturday morning the buffet was great. Well now we were in room 503, what a surprise and shock Saturday night. We were woken up around 12 midnight and never slept one second after that! The reason was one floor below is a Place called VERTIGO the music was so loud, and the same relentless beat, people coming out on the balcony smoking, screaming, talking everything, It was ... Good location, nice rooms, good food (breakfast), close to downtown (4-5 blocks walking slight slope), near by fast-food and restaurants. Not many of shopping places in walking distance. Good morning evening views from some upper floor rooms.

I was on the 6th floor and the traffic noise was very loud. The staff were gracious and warm from the front desk to the facilities team running the breaks and lunch. The room was a bit aged but had everything I needed. The small fridge generated its own intermittent concert to weave in with engines and yelling from the street. Great water pressure in the shower. This was my first time in San Jose so I can't offer any comparator.

Stayed one night and was very pleasantly surprised. Room comfort was excellent with stunning views of the city. Both dinner and breakfast were very good. Apart from a grumpy waitress in the bar the staff were very pleasant day welcoming.
