Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast has a great selection of food. Overall a great stay. The only negative feedback i have is regarding my request for early breakfast. I had a flight early in the morning, and the breakfast started at 6 am. I had requested some dry breakfast to be packed for the kids like bananas, cakes etc. The front desk flat refused to do so, even though i had extra for the room to include breakfast. I have never seen such attitude from any other hotels i have st... Read more

We stayed here one night at the end of a 7 day wildlife watching tour before moving on to a week on the Pacific coast. I don't know what Thompson/TUI holidays were thinking when they arranged this hotel. After a week of rain forest and eco lodges how could they think we would be happy here. It's a business style hotel and although had great views of the city and spacious rooms it is completely soul-less. It's a concrete building on the outskirts of San Jose. The restaurant served reasonable food... Read more

Stayed here for one night as part of Thomsons grand tour of Costa Rica. The room was very spacious and modern with a comfortable king size bed, we decided we wanted pizza for dinner so we went down to reception and the lady at the desk was kind enough to phone up and order it for us :) The bar had a good selection of drinks and a cocktail menu, there was also a very good selection of food for breakfast. Can't comment on the location as we were only here for one night and didn't venture out... Read more

Tryp personnel, breakfast, room decor all fine. Wyndham Rewards made it a good buy too. The Sabana park is so close, we were glad to be away from downtown San Jose crowds. The MAC art museum is very, very nice!

We didn't stay long in the room because we had a 3am airport shuttle. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable with a lot of pillows but there wasn't a clock in the room. We were on the 7th floor but could hear the street noise. The meal we had in the restaurant was excellent. They are very serious about this being a non smoking hotel (see photo).

Our tour stayed at the Wyndham Tryp Sabana Hotel the first and last day of our stay in Costa Rica. I found the staff both at the front desk and the restaurant very helpful. My first night, I had a room with windows on two sides looking out at the city, very beautiful. On my second night's stay, I had a family suite ( I was travelling alone) which had a breakfast bar complete with microwave, refrigerator, and complete set of dinnerware. In addition to King bed, it included two large sofa and a wa... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for three non-consecutive nights and had three different rooms. The hotel is located by Sabana Park (which was an airport) and about a 20 minute walk to the city center. Nearby are lots of restaurants including McDonald‚??s and KFC. I suggest trying Aqui Es! It‚??s an Argentinian steakhouse with excellent food and reasonable prices. The hotel lobby is small. Staff speak English and they‚??re helpful. WiFi is free throughout the hotel and the singnal is strong. The hotel h... Read more

Very clean and great front desk staff. The rooms vary in size and some are quieter we requested a change and were moved right away after a noisy night, The room 702 was noisy from street noise buses and trucks we moved to 914 which was smaller but much quieter, Both had great views. The location is OK but a bit of a walk to downtown San Jose, The bar staff and the happy hour were excellent Thanks to Randall and Stephanie our group had a great evening. And the food in the restaurant is goo... Read more
