Activities and Tours:

• Poas Volcano - it`s the main highlight of the area and at almost a mile wide, is the largest active crater in the world.  
• The La Paz Waterfall Garden - a short distance from the Lodge, is a privately owned ecological center with numerous attractions including a butterfly observatory, hummingbird garden, a serpentarium, and about 2 miles of trails leading to the 5 magnificent waterfalls.
• The Cloud Forest Trails on the Dairy Farm - guests can explore the beauty of the land surrounding the Lodge. A guided tour of the dairy farm, just minutes from the Lodge, can be arranged.
• The Doka Coffee Tour - it`s a fascinating way to learn about the production and process of coffee, one of Costa Ricas main economies. The Doka Coffee Estate, only 25 minutes drive from the Lodge, is one of the best coffee plantations in Costa Rica and has been in the same family for 3 generations.
• Sarchi Craft Center - a 45 minute drive away from the lodge, offers more than 200 stores and small family-operated woodworking factories.
• Colinas del Poas - visitors can glide between 24 treetop platforms via harness and cable guided by professional tour leaders.  Only 15 minutes from the lodge and at the foot of Poas Volcano
