We stayed at the Hotel because of a class reunion I was attending. Hotel was picked by a fellow Costa Rican classmate. My wife and I think that it was a great choice. Nice, clean and superb attention. I would definitely book it again. Great location too.

We were suppose to stay two different nights as we passed through San Jose. The first night was great, room clean, staff cordial and food at the restaurant both dinner and breakfast were great! The second night which was at the end of our trip, we arrived to find out there had been a water problem on one of the floors and we had no room. However the hotel had already booked us a room at a nearby hotel, paid the difference in price and drove us to the new hotel. Very impressed! Will definetely s... Read more

We stayed 5 nights at the Parque del Lago and were lucky to get an upgrade to a superior room looking towards the car park and Paseo Colon. The room was spacious, with an extra sitting room with couch, well appointed, very comfortable beds and high-quality linen. Everything worked well, including wi-fi, A/C; shower excellent. The staff especially the front desk were very helpful, we even borrowed the bikes with no hassle. There's an excellent iMac in the foyer. The restaurant looks nice but the ... Read more

Clean and well managed hotel. The staff is friendly and available. Just a little bit far from the centre but this could be an advantage if you are looking for a quite place. Only one suggestion: please, make available a refrigerator in the room.

Very clean and great prompt service. Higher end appearance. We had a couple of needs during our stay and staff immediately responded. Great value. Price included full breakfast. Rooms and bathroom are a bit small. Located near a park and the National Soccer stadium. Numerous fast food restaurants, bank and pharmacies nearby. We spent the day walking through the city to see the sites. The hotel shuttle to the airport was $30 dollars.

We loved this place, such a nice little hotel and nice people. A good central location. Spacious, clean rooms with good amenities provided. We based ourselves here either side of flying out of San Jose and it was good for that. Free breakfast and happy hour at night!

The front desk and all other staff were friendly, helpful and engaging. The hotel is in a downtown location with easy access to venues in that area. The room was clean, well appointed with a great shower/tub combo. Decor sort of modern. The view from our room was limited to the buildings across the street.

This hotel was great. It was clean, the staff were all friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. I would recommend staying here. You can grab a taxi or Uber ride that takes about 15-20 minutes from airport.

I was very impressed with Parque del Lago Hotel. Its location off Paseo Colon Boulevard (the main drag in San Jose) is excellently situated. The hotel is modern and could not have been cleaner. 5-Star customer service. The restaurant was extremely attractive for this wary traveler and his family: great menu and reasonably priced! I felt safe and comfortable, as did my family. As a high-level American executive, I whole heartedly recommend Parque del Lago Boutique Hotel.

This place is very nice located in The Sabana Parque area which is about three miles to the downtown - promenade - shopping. The room was a bit small and had no refrigerator; one girl at the front desk offered to change the room but did not tell me if there would be an upcharge. I decided to keep the room which was very clean and the maids were VERY good and concerned that I was getting good service. The bathroom was state of the arts but rather small. Overall the fourth floor was quiet. The one... Read more

1. The rooms they say are available never are, twice this has happened. small details that when you're in a hurry in the city make a huge difference, that's why there's an option to pick the room type when booking. That's why it properly works for business men passing by a city. Saving time saves money. Not that this hotel would know about that. 2. A $100 blockage for a $14 meal. Over 48 hours pass and they seem not to worry much about returning funds that do not belong to the hotel. As a payin... Read more

I will say the location is clutch if needed to go to and from airport, but besides that a disgrace for a "tripadvisor award". The outside is very clean and business like. The front entrance looks like a small holiday inn that needs some updating. The front desk staff seemed as if we were bothering them when checking inn. The rooms were disgusting. They smelt of mold, toilet was not cleaned, shower was broken, and bed was extremely uncomfortable. The only reason we booked this hotel was bas... Read more

I stayed here for 2 nights with my boyfriend when we first arrived in Costa Rica. It's the perfect hotel to stay in to explore the city. It's situated near the Parque Sabana and the national stadium and is a 20 minute walk to all the main attractions. Staff are really helpful and the robes and slippers provided make the hotel a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of San Jose. The only downside is the room can be a bit noisy as its facing the main road. However, I was so jet lagged I slept th... Read more
