Oxygen Jungle Villas was the highlight of our stay in Costa Rica. We ended up extending our stay there because we felt so at peace! The staff is just amazing. The General Manager is incredibly kind and helpful, very humble and makes you feel like you truly matter! The front desk and restaurant staff are just as amazing! They became our family there and we loved our daily routine and every interaction with these wonderful human beings! The rooms are like nothing I've seen or experienced before. T... Read more

My husband and I seem to love to find cute small bungalow/villas in foreign places. This was by far the best one I have ever stayed in. It's SO nice, romantic and relaxing. It's a little ways up a dirt road but totally doable. We did not have a 4WD car, but we still made it... it was a bumpy ride though. A short ways down the road is an awesome waterfall and swimming hole. You can slide off of the waterfall into the hole. We had a great time there. The pool was relaxing and the service was good.... The villas at Oxygen are gorgeous- glass walls and a canopy bed in the middle of the Costa Rica jungle. We stayed in Villa 7 where we had a perfect view of the toucans that would sit perched on the tree in front of our villa. Yes there were definitely bugs, but very few actually came inside the villa. And I detest bugs but i can honestly say it really was not that bad. Other then the occasional bug... the room, bathroom and shower were very clean. The staff were some of the nicest people we've ... We. Love. This. Place. The villas are stunningly designed, comfortable, and go perfect with the environment. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. We got our car stuck in a muddy ditch on the mountain road up to the hotel and they called our car rental place (at 10pm) and arranged it all to get it out for us. The grounds are 10% buildings and 90% jungle reserve and the villas stress ecological responsibility. Very refreshing after being in your typical American hotel. There is a lovely waterf... Read more

Your private villa is nestled in the rainforest. The staff is over the top wonderful and very knowledgeable about the rainforest. We heard and saw Howler monkeys. The drive up is terrifying; a steep, muddy track that runs for 2 miles. You will probably eat most of your meals there. The food is a little pricey but excellent. When we went to the beach, we called a cab. The Infinity pool is gorgeous and overlooks the hill to the beach.

This is not your average place to stay. Oxygen Jungle sits atop a very steep, unpaved, and poorly kept road in Uvita, CR. They could use another sign towards the entrance. Beyond that, the hotel ranks up at the top in terms of cleanliness, creative outlay and design, privacy and smiling professional staff.
