From my arrival at Macaw Lodge I was treated like royalty. Staff were the nicest and most helpful that I have ever come across. The lodge itself is in a dream setting in front of a lake and attracts all manner of birds. Rooms are simple but very comfortable and the entire hotel is run on an Eco friendly basis. We have stayed at the lodge for 2 night. Excellent and beautiful setting in a lush garden full of beautiful plants, a little lake right in front and LOTS of birds. Excellent service. Do go on the early bird tour - excellent experience!

It was a great experience. People are nice and friendly, the service is great, the surrounding is a dream. You can sit down and watch the birds, take a short walk to a waterfall or just relax. They produce their own electricity and hot water - with solar power. Great!

Although the manger knew I was not happy with the noise and tried ... Read more
