"Costa Rica is beautiful, would definatly go back. would get trasportation back and forth from the airport to the hotel, I will be renting a car. The scheduling was bad on their part, the only time I could get picked up to be taken to the airport was at 9am for a 3:30pm flight when it only takes 1hour to get to the airport.
Ordered and payed extra per night for an ocean view room, the first 2 nights I spent with a lighthouse view because the hotel was full that weekend due to the holiday, so they could no accommodate us though I had reservations 6months prior. "

"we have just got back from the marriott would agree that it is an ociean front not a beach front hotel , after that you get a car , sat nav and travel its great,5 * place we had a great time food is varied and good staff all great, beds and room were exalent , we will be back"

"The hotel itself is quite nice (great architecture and very comfortable rooms), the food is pretty good, and the pool is fun (although the water is too warm, imho). The swim-up bar is fantastic and has good food, and the employees are warm and mostly speak good english.

The immediate area near the hotel is nice, although it's not near many attractions, and the hotel beach is ok, not great. It's an hour from Manuel Antonio, and 4 hours from both Mt. Arenal/ Tobaccan and Corcovado, so keep this in mind when planning your trip. Also, I would weigh the all-inclusive option closely, as in many cases it would be tough to eat and drink enough to make it worth it (unless you're going to stay at the hotel all day and night, but in this case you may want to re-think going to the Carribean instead).

"The hotel is nice however it took 2 hours to get there from San Jose airport. Once we arrived & toured the premises we were sadden to see that there is 'no beach'. It's really an Oceanside hotel not a 'beachfront' it's really misleading. Other than that the hotel is very clean, staff is friendly & speak English very well. The food is 'EXCELLENT' anything and everything on the menu is superb. Now the unfortunate side to that is the kitchen closes at midnight including room service. Also the tours offered at the hotel are too expensive, if you leave the hotel & go into town the tours are about 60% cheaper."
