Accommodations

The suites and rooms are anything but standard. All are air-conditioned and have private bathrooms, a dresser, television, in-room telephone system, outside sitting area and desks. Every room has sliding glass doors, which open to incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding jungle.

Dining

The chefs serve ´´Cuisine´´ with a Tropical Touch. The kitchen staff specializes in fresh seafood, such as lobster, shrimp, tuna, mahi-mahi, whole fish, snapper and mussels. They also serve the best filet mignon and steaks in town. Dine indoors or outdoors in the Sky Lounge or in the privacy of your own room or suite.

Jacques Cousteau Restaurant

Think of the French Riviera and you envision seaside resorts, sunshine, a passion for the finer things in life, and of course, exquisite bistro cuisine. The Jacques Cousteau Restaurant captures this essence, paying homage to a bistro meal that is fresh, light, and perfectly suited for vivacious lifestyles, leaving you energized for outdoor adventures, soaking up the sun, or relaxing over sunset cocktails in the roof-top Sky Lounge.

The expert chefs take advantage of local farmers markets, selecting the finest, freshest ingredients, rich in life and vivid with color. All the items on the menu are skillfully designed and prepared in order to preserve vitality and natural richness, while also enhancing and complimenting foods to achieve the best culinary experience.

The Jacques Cousteau Restaurant delivers products you can trust. Costa Rica recognizes international trade standards for U.S. beef and beef products from cattle of all ages. Likewise, all seafood purchased from the Quepos Harbor is of international export quality.

Boat Cave Bar

Come and discover Manuel Antonio's only theme bar which is carved from natural rock and is situated in the heart of the hotel. Accessed from a short winding staircase through a miniature door, or exclusively through the V.I.P Room, let your imagination slip to the depths of the ancient underworld, where the unique ambiance sweeps away the cares of the world above. Listen to the soothing sound of a waterfall trickling over rocks as you sip one of our specialty cocktails and watch real live bats flicker and flap from the ceiling.

Perched at the end of a tiny road above Manuel Antonio, the Hotel Parador is a treasured hide-away. It boasts several pools, and pleasant rooms (not very luxurious). The views from the top of the resort are stunning. The main pool is beautiful as it overlooks the ocean and has many interesting motifs like an alligator statue as well as waterfalls. The restaurants serve decent food with good service. The breakfasts are fine.

I have just come from an excellent hotel in the Central Valley. I arrived here to see the pseudo European decor. The staff was very nice. But not very helpful. Not because they were rude, but just not knowledge. The room we are staying in smells. It is a musty odor. Thank goodness I brought candles to mask the smell. The bathroom also has a bad smell almost like burnt plastic. The dining area has. Loud piano player who is anything but inviting. I am sitting in my room now. An hear someone's TV... Read more

My sister and I stayed here at the beginning of our 2 week sisters trip. What a great start! She wanted to relax, but with the great guides, my sister quickly slipped into safari mode as we wandered in search of the amazing animals that Costa Rica has to offer. Our Manuel Antonio visit arranged by the hotel was amazing. Our guide Danny is an expert birder and had a scope that enabled us to see very small birds and bats close up even though they were at a distance. We could even take picture... Read more

this hotel was paradise. beautifully designed with lots of artistic spanish historical touches. the infinity pool was gorgeous but with a strange alligator sculpture which spoiled it a bit! swim up bar run by the Star Man-RODRIGO. My son befriended him as they bonded over beer and football. his English was excellent and he was extremely attentive and a great advert for the hotel. I hope the manager appreciates how good he is. he makes each guest feel special and that is quite a skill. the hotel ... Read more

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of May, and couldn't fault it. The welcome we received was lovely, from our 'welcome drinks' through to our personal tour of the hotel from Jonathan. Our room was big, well-equipped and immaculately clean. The meals were delicious, especially the Sushi which we had one lunchtime sitting by the pool. The hotel surroundings are lovely, from the forest walk to the beautifully kept flower borders. Wild-life spotting is fun, with the nightly visits from the raccoon, ... Read more

We loved this hotel. We live in Costa Rica and have been to many hotels and this is our favorite. Clean rooms, nice staff, great pool and lots of fun wildlife around the resort and good food. We were greeted with juice and the kids all got ice cream sandwiches. Even the little private beach was nice and we were able to go paddle boarding. Looking forward to our next visit.

Wish my husband and I had much more time to relax and enjoy this hotel. Loved the wildlife, amenities, decor and scenery. Everything was gorgeous. One morning we woke up to the Howler monkeys. Such a powerful, unique and mysterious noise of the jungle to hear. It was so captivating. Really enjoyed the "Adult" pool time as well. Was very quiet and peaceful and needed.

This is a beautiful resort. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the property is very well maintained. When we were there, there were several projects being done to upkeep the property. The spa was in a temporary location which did not affect us because we were not going to utilize those services anyhow, but if we were, I am not sure how the temporary area was. Also, a restaurant on the property was closed for renovations which meant that there was only one dining option available (no... Read more

We stated 7 nights at the Parador and were very pleased with the rooms, grounds, activities, and above all - service. My bar is pretty high for luxury hotels and the Parador delivered. The rooms are spacious and meticulously cleaned. The grounds are set into the mountain jungle and the vegetation and wildlife felt like we were in a nature preserve. Above all, the staff of Parador walks the talk of service. Any issue we had with our room was rapidly responded to and completely to our satisfact... Read more

We picked this hotel because it had a big pool, some great views, and reasonable prices for two queen beds to accommodate our party of four. And, this hotel did provide all of that. The rooms look just like the pictures. We had a premium room, and the view was incredible. Breakfast food was decent (but free, so what do you expect). Drinks were horrible and overpriced. Bar snacks were also pretty average. Dinner was a disappointment for the adults, but kids liked it. The private beach is ... Read more

What I expected was absolutely exceeded. I was a bit worried staying at this hotel because I wasn't sure about the location. When I arrived it was all about the LOCATION. The hotel is located on a beautiful mountain that is a little bit of a drive upwards. At some parts of the drive you are right next to the cliff, so be careful. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised because I was greeted with fresh pineapple juice at the front desk. Once I was checked in, they offered to take ou... Read more

Very good hotel that is close the lots of activities. Really enjoyed our stay here--food was very good although a bit pricey. Rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly and happy to help you. There is transport to take you to the National Park. Lots of private ares in which you can walk or rest and lots of wildlife to see. The beach was very scenic although one needs water shoes to go out to sea as the stones make you hop around like a madman.

Staff was so friendly. Tatiana at the concierge even arranged for our room to be decorated for my finance's birthday. Everything was taken care of once we arrived at the resort. Rooms were very clean and updated. We had a garden view, and would see monkey's during the day from our balcony! Food was excellent, and very reasonable. We enjoyed playing mini golf daily, and finding the sloth in the tree. We booked all tours from the resort itself once we arrived. Really, everything is here at your fi... Read more

We were here during our honeymoon-trip through Costa Rica and this is the best hotel we did so far! Super friendly staff, a lot of animals (birds, sloths, monkeys, lizzards...) and beautiful surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay here and had a nice upgrade to a tropical room! We would like to spend more time in this hotel and city! Thank you!

We did a week long trip, staying 2 nights in Arenal, 2 nights in Samara and 2 nights at the Parador. This was by far the best part of our stay. We were emailed a list of activities prior to our stay so we could sign up as soon as we arrived. The activities were well coordinated. We enjoyed the grounds as there was hiking and swimming (both adult only & family). The happy hour is great after a day filled with activities & the morning buffet breakfast was perfect before heading out. I plan t... Read more

Our family of four spent 7 nights recently at the Hotel Parador. It was our first trip to Costa Rica. The staff of the hotel were absolutely wonderful. They were very attentive to our requests and handled everything with ease from the time we stepped into the lobby until the day we left. The hotel is very well maintained and clean. The food is very good. The staff took care of all our excusions, restaurant reservations when we ate away from the hotel, taxi rides, shuttles, etc. They paid gr... Read more

My husband, two teenage sons and I spent five glorious days at the resort. The service was outstanding, the food wonderfully delicious, the grounds were gorgeous and the staff attentive and gracious. We saw lots of howler and spider monkeys outside our door as well as by the adult pool. A three toed "smiling sloth" entertained us by one of the terraces on our last day. Both my husband and I enjoyed an 80 minute massage that was heavenly. This was part two of a two week trip to Costa Rica. We all... Read more

From the moment we arrived it was wonderful. The resort provided transportation from the airport and picked us up offering chilled towels and drinks to refresh us after a long flight. The service throughout our stay was really good and consistently exceeded our expectations. 7 of us stayed there 4 nights and loved it. Delicious food, great baby playroom our little one spent hours in, trails, mini golf, great family and adult only pools. The views from our rooms (400 building) were beautiful and we were delighted when we had a couple of toucans stop by to visit our balcony. We also saw sloths, monkeys and iguanas on the grounds making every walk around fun for the kids. We enjoyed a couples massage and the staff was amazing. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean... We stayed here as part of a group travel arrangement. Check in was friendly and efficient. The accommodation ranges from clean, spacious and comfortable garden rooms, through plusher suites to the quite luxurious. On all counts the standards were high, with good cleanliness and maintenance. The food in the restaurant, be that breakfast or the evening Al La Carte menu was of a very good standard, and the setting and ambiance was lovely. One notable glitch, was the prices for wine were absurd. F... Read more

This was the final destination on our CR tour. We stayed for 5 nights and had a beautiful room up in the tower a short walk from the main building. The room was fabulous with spectacular views. We were fortunate to have a view over the canopy on exiting the room and every morning a troop of howler monkeys were having their snooze really close, amazing!
