From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. While checking in, we were given cold glasses of juice and cool towels. The property is beautiful and the views are spectacular. The pools and pool bar area are immaculate, and there are trails leading closer to cliffs/views of the ocean where you can observe parrots, sloths, and monkeys in their wild habitat (suggest getting up early for that). Rooms were clean, and it never really felt overly crowded (even though it is not a small h... Read more

We stayed here at the end of a 9 day trip to Costa Rica and I purposely upgraded our room at this location. Best decision ever!! We arrived after driving from Monteverde and a quick stop in Carrara National Park, to a quick and friendly welcome, fruit drinks, and cool, refreshing towels - what a great start. After a quick check-in, our luggage was put in a golf cart and we were whisked away to our suites with a short stop on the way to see the sloth next to the pool. Our suite was on the top flo... We stayed at this hotel at the end of our tour of Costa Rica. What can I say. The hotel is stunning with fabulous grounds. We stayed in a garden room where we sat and watched humming birds, toucans, hawks and Iguanas pass by daily. Our room was large and comfortable with nice beds and pillows. Free toiletries and fab ceiling fan which we preferred over the good air con. Pool with bar was lovely and there were always beds available. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great food, and awesome views. It's location is perfect, with a lot of shops and restaurants near by. They have a private beach, trails through the rainforest, and a few pools. The shuttle to Manuel Antonio beach/park comes in handy, also. We'll be back!

The most beautiful hotel we stayed in in Costa Rica. We were glad it was our last hotel in Costa Rica, as we would have been disappointed if later hotels had not met the high standards of the Parador. Two double beds in the room as well as a refrigerator, coffee maker, hairdryer, safe and all the usual things. Our garden room (110) had a little patio with two chairs looking out over a grassy area on which we saw a big iguana on our arrival. There were quite a lot of iguanas on the property and w... I visited Hotel Parador during Memorial Day weekend 2016. The hotel and Manuel Antonio was gorgeous. Everyone who worked there was extremely accommodating, friendly, and able to give us lots of great advice on what excursions to go on and what restaurants in the area to go to. The hotel had stunning views and the rooms were nice and clean. The hotel as well as Manuel Antonio was pretty quiet given that it wasn't high season so there wasn't any nightlife but it was still a relaxing time of year t... Read more

It is the fourth time that I visit Parador and I have never had the time to write back how nice the experience always is. I have been to other options like Tulemar in Manuel Antonio and despite their nice proposal that they offer it is never as gratifying as when I stay with my family at Parador. The service is marvelous, the rooms are pretty neat and comfortable, the food is always really good and it also offers a nice trail to walk around. We plan on staying at this hotel every June for the foreseeable future. Service is spectacular. Some hotels have good service because the employees know they have to be nice to you. At the Parador, every employee WANTS to be nice to you. Tatiana, Eric, Jose, Sharon were all phenomenal. The campus is beautiful, the rooms are very nice and the executive chef does a great job with the food. But the real differentiator is the quality of the service. we booked 3 nights here and chose a 'premium room' paying £633 for 3 nights which is about USD 300 per night inclusive. Apparently we 'saved 32%' according to our booking site. As soon as we walked into the reception I knew we had been duped; it was dark, dank, dated and dingy. I looked round at the miserable staff and saw the fake and tacky 'medieval castle' decor and wondered what I'd walked in to. My travelling companion and I were very uneasy, we had paid a top price for this room, specific... Read more

I really enjoyed staying at the Parador. The great views and food make this hotel. The grounds are beautiful. The hotel is huge. There are lots of different pools and buildings. There were so many places where I could spend time with my family. The only problem that I had with the hotel was the service. The service was not always that fast.

Watch the toucans and monkeys in the trees instead! Great long and natural trails for hiking! Free breakfast is wonderful and deluxe! Lots of pools to choose from! I've stayed in Tulemar, the best, and Arenas Del Mar, which is tied with Parador for me. Arenas is stunning, maybe it is second, I got tired of waiting for golf carts to go anywhere, such problems! Parador is great though! Can't wait to go back

We recently stayed at the Hotel Parador at the end of June 2016 and had an excellent stay. The front desk and others at the hotel provided great service and were more than happy to assist with our questions. The hotel grounds were beautiful. The adult pool was quiet and cooler than the other pool with the scenic view. However, the view of the ocean from the family pool was warmer, but had a great view. Place has about everything you could want in a resort: great restaurant, wonderful pool and bar, mini-golf for kids, a walking path/forest with howler monkey's, sloths, etc. I went during the "off-season" which is probably when it is nicest IMO. Hotel beautifully located, great facility, but greedy management policies make you feel small. One example - We are in the low season. Asked to check out at 14.00 on day of departure. Customerservice came back with the answer - "we have special promotion- at usd 50 per room, you can checkout at 15.00... ( I spend 120 days a year in hotel rooms. When I need 14.00 checkout, either they can, or the can't- never ask for a payment.)

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Parador for a week just at the end of the rainy season. We arrived after a long bus ride and were greeted with a smile and a glass of fresh pineapple juice. On another occasion we went to the front desk to make an inquiry and we were handed a wet rolled towel and a cold glass of water. The staff were always friendly and very accommodating to any of our needs. The Resort is very nice and everything is well kept and seems to be well managed. We traded... Read more

Stayed for four nights in early November while in the area for a destination wedding of two friends. Rainy season but still managed to have some portion of most days with sun or minimal cloudiness. This looked to be one of the larger properties in Manuel Antonio. Great views from the main pool and there is a beach you can reach in about a 15 minute walk from the hotel (though down a trail that is not flip flop territory). There is a shuttle several times a day to the main beach and national ... Read more

We loved it so much! Many many wild animals can be seen in this resort :) We saw white face monkeys playing, iguanas, sloths, raccoons, birds... It was so exciting! The hotel itself is one of the best in Manuel A. The rooms are clean and comfy, all the facilities were amazing. Perfect pools! Perfect view to the ocean... Amazing breakfast. We enjoyed it so much!

Hotel Parador is located at the top of the mountain surrounded by beautiful rain forest! the view from the pool area is breath taking and the hotel its self is very well manicured. As soon as I walked into Parador i knew my vacation was going to be amazing! the hotel staff were friendly and always happy to help. I requested to rent a car and they had one delivered to the hotel that same morning! They made our stay stress free and enjoyable. We loved the place. At night the hotel was quiet so you... Read more

We stayed at the hotel early November for 3 days. The property is located at the end of the peninsula about 5 minutes drive from the national park gates. It is very secluded and quiet with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. The property has 3 pools - one dedicated to adults only (so didn't visit this one since our teens were with us). The décor inside is very traditional colonial, with beautiful wood throughout. Breakfast was included in our room rate, and was a delicious, full of variety b... Read more

I was here with 22 other people. I cannot say enough about the friendliness of all the workers here. I know that a group was not happy with the bartender but beyond him, everyone else that I encountered were SOOOOOO nice! I cannot say enough for all the front desk staff, restaurant staff, and concierge. These people were tops!

A lovely hotel in a stunning location. However, the staff leave something to be desired. On check-in we were kept waiting for our room for 1 hour 40 minutes after the stated check-in time. We had had a long journey and were tired, hot and sticky and wanted a shower and to change. When I complained to the manager (it took him 25 minutes to arrive) his response was ??it may be unacceptable but we are doing our best; if you want to complain to your travel company, that is your choice?? Nice hotel layout, gluten free options (including pan sin gluten / gluten free bread) for breakfast, lunch and dinner, nice views especially from the pool. Most of the staff are lovely - bairon is particularly nice, a very helpful and funny gentleman! It's important to know staff take allergies /coeliac disease seriously and Bairon always double checked with the chef. We have a few more days here, so far so good.

Awesome hotel, lovely staff. Saw the local sloth, Flash in the trees around the pool. Breakfast is awesome and the views are even more delicious. Food and drink is a bit pricey. The pool makes a great Happy Sack arena, team GrashawJonesParton maxed out at 141 without dropping...come at me fam.

Beautiful hotel surroundings, nice views, abundant with wildlife, all three varieties of monkeys, flash the sloth just chilling in his favourite tree by the spa. Tucans, humming birds, and lots of different wild birds. Bairon served us happy hour cocktails and he was brilliant - remembered our names and our room numbers, a really lovely guy. Path to the beach was not for flip flops and the trek was not really worthwhile, the adult only pool was tranquil and very pleasant. Would highly recommend ... Read more

This hotel wraps you with luxury the minute you walk in and being served with a lemon scented cold towel to wipe off your sweat and a cold drink. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast has everything you can ask and the whole area if the hotel is teeming with wildlife And then, there are the views... Get an ocean view if you can, it's worth the difference in the price (plus the Jacuzzi in the balcony). It is not cheap, but if you can afford it- this is the place to stay. Below is the ... This was the last hotel in our Costa Rica tour. The room was nice and clean, however not very well sound proofed, we could hear the people next door talking. The pool was very good, with a swim up bar and beautiful views of the sea, you would watch it for hours. Saw the sloth, iguana, toucans in the gardens. However on the downside, the staff seem very disorganised, on the first day after check in, the bell boy was supposed to give us a tour, it was very brief and then he left us at the restaur... This was our last hotel during our nine day stay in Costa Rica. It was just what we needed, it was off the beaten path, quiet and clean. The surroundings were lovely, just enough nature to get the essence of Costa Rica, on our way back to our room at night there was often a sloth hanging around in the trees. There were a couple of restaurants with decent food and good service. Breakfast was a treat, as the restaurant is on a hill, and we sat on the terrace so that we could see the water and ... Read more

My sister and I both agreed that this is the best vacation we have ever taken. The Parador exceeded our expectations in every way. The service was fabulous, the people were friendly, the food was delicious, the spa was accommodating and relaxing. This resort caters to all sorts of travelers from solo to family. Our general feeling was that they truly have something for everyone. We came hoping to see wildlife and were not at all disappointed. We simply could not have asked for a better experie... Read more

First off, the hotel. Yes, some reviewers have said the decor is a little dated. The rooms are a little dated, but the rest of the hotel is perfectly modern. (Note that we stayed here coming from the Royal Corin in Arenal, which is very modern.) More importantly, the whole place is spotlessly clean. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, and speak very good English (and Spanish). We went for a garden room but were upgraded to a tropical room. The room is housekept daily in the morning, i... Read more

I would have to say that our food was mediocre but the view, service and the animals were exceptional. I had a spider monkey steal a cherry out of my drink as it spilled it (I was not mad), the toucans were everywhere, the lizards were sunning themselves by the pool. Before we left there were 4 spider monkeys running around the tables looking for handouts. My family was in animal heaven.

We loved hotel Parador. The resort is beautiful, wonderful pools with swim up bar, very clean. The staff were superb, very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, even the included breakfast. The spa was fabulous too, we all enjoyed our messages. We had a standard room, It was fine, but may upgrade if I went again. Highly recommend this place, didn't want to leave.

Firstly, the location is almost unbeatable. The amount of wildlife we saw either from where we were sitting in the hotel or in the free trek inside the hotel grounds were amazing. Resident sloth sleeping and eating in a tree right next to the pool, waking up to a chorus of howler monkeys, toucans and birds of prey flying close to balconies...it is some of the best I've ever seen. The hotel itself is nice, the pools are great and we really liked the pool bar and the facilities are good and every... Read more
