We stayed here in the Haiti cabins for 2 nights as part of our Collette tour. The rooms were clean and small but adequate. The sleeping area of the rooms were blissfully air conditioned (the Pacific coast is quite hot) however the bathrooms were not air conditioned. The grounds are extensive, but there is a free shuttle service or you can rent golf carts. The location inside a scarlet macaw sanctuary is ideal for photographing these beautiful birds. Unfortunately their butterfly garden was u... Read more

We've been to quite a few all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and we know that every country offers a different experience. We had read the reviews before going to this resort and therefore had a general sense of what to expect so we were not caught off guard or did not set any expectations. We took the all inclusive because it was our first time in Costa Rica and we didn't want to have to worry about planning our days. We landed in San Jose and it took about 1 hour and a half to get to the r... Read more

Yes there are adorable monkeys and iguanas, but the resort is mediocre. Crowded noisy pools, dirty paths, dated and ugly room, dodgy loud aircon (not good when its 35 degrees in the room and cooler outside), cars everywhere and untidy gardens. Decor looks really old and bathroom is tiny with stained broken tiles & broken faucet. Had to change rooms as aircon stopped working at 6pm.😩 Hated the security guards everywhere, stopping people and cars. Huge commanding rule signs and red bands slap... Read more

The location was great- close to Jaco but not too close. Private resort (with a looooong driveway to get in!). Lots of trees and monkeys. Beautiful pools (2 huge ones and a smaller one near the Selvamar rooms) and outstanding, clean beaches. The hotel staff was friendly, but didn't shine. The resort was pretty empty (except for the weekend- more on that later) yet we weren't offered an upgraded room (as I see mentioned in other posts, but maybe because they weren't available the whole week). We... Read more

We stayed at a friends house for a week and the resort was ideal for us. We used their vehicle or a golf cart to get to the pools and beach. The private beach for the resort has plenty of shaded areas to sit in and enjoy food at tables or in your beach chairs. The snorkeling was just steps from land or if you are a bit more adventurous swim out beyond the rocks for even more fish. The pools are clean and there is a cabana bar if you want something to drink or a snack. The entire beach area is a... Read more
