We visited this hotel as the final stop on a 12 day Collette/Thomas Cook adventure holiday in Costa Rica and this was, by some considerable distance, the worst hotel we stayed in. Rooms tiny and very outdated. Bathroom basic at best and tiny. Rooms very close together and no outside space such as patio and no views except of the rooms next door. The only positive is the air con was good. Hotel is very spread out so a long long walk to the beach. Beach okay but no sun beds at all. Pools moderate ... Read more

The resort is a bit old, not luxurious, but nice and clean. We have been there for past eight years. It is great for family, there are four pools to choose from. "All inclusive" is the way to go. If you want to avoid loud crowd, this is the place to go. This is not the place for any night life or water sports. Great for pure relaxation.

This resort is ideally located next to the ocean and an easy 1 1/2 hour drive from the San José airport. I really enjoyed the early morning walk with the local guide and was able to check off many new birds in my bird book. The Macaws come to the pool area and provide wonderful, colorful entertainment.

It sounded lovely and peaceful. We enjoyed eating breakfast with white-faced monkeys and loved our early morning birding tour. We got the chance to see macaws close above our heads in a tree, a small owl and many others. Food was decent, we ate at the buffet. My only suggestion would be to label the salad selections - ...
