Hotel Punta Islita was our second stop on our Costa Rican honeymoon, after staying 5 days at their sister hotel (El Silencio Lodge and Spa). What a perfect way to end our time in Costa Rica. The views alone were heavenly; we enjoyed laying out on our own private deck with a hammock and small jet pool behind us and the ocean in front of us. The food was great, the infinity pool was stunning (you could swim up to the bar!), and the room was extremely comfortable and spacious. The excursions were a... Read more

This place is a private fantasy. If you want to do nothing, but relax and be served, do it. If you want, however, to experience excursions and see a beautiful part of Costa Rica, then let the experienced staff take care of you. The Adult only infinity pool is a nice touch and the family pool is also pretty cool. Definitely worth the drive...

We didn't stay here but we were in the area and ready for lunch. The views at the pool were breathtaking and the food was delicious. Its a perfect tuckered away spot. We ended up staying to have another drink because we didn't want to leave. I can't imagine what the sunset would look like!

We took our family of five, which includes three teenagers, for a week to the resort. We have traveled as a family extensively and this stay ranked as one of our very favorites. An absolutely unique resort. The activities kept all of us busy and entertained, we tried everything from zip-lining to kayaking to surfing. And the resort and its fantastic staff kept us feeling pampered throughout the stay (including an incredible spa treatment). We will almost certainly return, and can't recommend the... Read more

This resort is amazing! It is very secluded but has everything you need. You don't need to leave the property. Our family stayed in a 3 bedroom villa (Ilan Ilan) with a small pool. The villa was incredible. It was huge with an open air living area and dining area. It also had a full kitchen and 3 air conditioned bedrooms. The views were incredible. There were monkeys and macaws all around. And, the villa had a golf cart for us to use around the property. The resort itself has two lar... Read more

One of the best small hotels I have ever been to. Most Rooms are King bed with small living room and you either have a plung pool or hot tub on your deck. The views are awesome looking at the Pacific ocean. They have a pool up top for Adults only and also a beach pool and bar at the beach. Very remote but a super lovely place to go.

Hotel Punta Islita is a truly a unique and absolutely splendid experience. My wife and I visited for 5 days on our honeymoon and wouldn't do anything different. Every amenity you could desire is included or available for a very reasonable rate. The food is exquisite; from pasta, to steak and other red meats, to their fresh seasfood, you cannot go wrong no matter what you eat at either their main restraunt or beach restraunt. We particularly loved their breakfast and the beach restraunts pizzas... Read more

A more personalized and secluded type of tourism with sustainability and good neighbor as its core values. Interesting never had considered before. We saw maccaws (lapas) ,howling monkeys, a female deer, different types of birds. Just like being in a reserve. If you like big city bustle better go to Tamarindo. This is a place to relax between the rain forest and the beach. The villa we had was well furnished and the hotel has a small bus taking you everywhere. The activities were good canopy , h... I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. We had a 2 bedroom suite for my wife and I and 2 teens. Perfect accommodations. Beautiful resort, tons to do with the included excursions - cooking classes, golf, cocktail mixing classes, zip lining, yoga classes, horseback riding, birdwatching hike, etc, etc. Tons of wildlife - we saw howler monkeys, macaws, deer, iguanas, snakes, geckos, and more. Restaurant is reasonably priced with great food. Full service breakfast is included if Marriott Gold me... Read more
