Spent 4 nights here. Visited Manuel Antonio National twice. Once with a guide and again on our own. Very convenient to Park, just outside Hotel gate. They also have security at the gate so your car will be safe. Only a short walk to the Public Beach. Several Restaurants within walking distance, 2 small markets, and bus for anywhere between Manuel Antonio and Quepos. The included breakfast was good. We ate no other meals there so can't comment on that. Rooms were nice size, with balcony. We saw a... Read more

This is a hotel that greets you with cool wash cloths and a beverage. The rooms and campus are very nice. I truely enjoyed the close proximity to Manuel Antonio Park. The breakfast is a nice spread of food. I will tell you the walkway to the beach is an interesting trek. We walked passed vendors and through alleys to get to the beach. At night and day,you can hear the monkeys and the birds, lucky us! There are iguana scattered all over the campus too. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This hotel has the most amazing location: Manuel Antonio National park and the beach is right around the corner. The grounds and the pool are beautiful. When you come out to your balcony, you can see iguanas and can hear howler monkeys. Until 6 pm you can take a short cut tunnel right to the public beach. There is another smaller pool and the bar on the sixth floor, where you can see the most beautiful sunsets. You may need to use a bug spray around 5-6 pm though. Even if it is raining, you can ... We had a very pleasant stay while visiting Manuel Antonio National Park, which is literally a few meters from the hotel grounds. This is helpful, because it facilitates hiking in the park early in the morning, while it is cool and uncrowded. The hotel is pleasant, spacious rooms with effective air conditioners. It is obviously an older building which has been remodeled. We were awakened in the morning by the sounds of howler monkeys in the trees just outside our room. The buffet f... Read more

San Bada has a great location, next to Manual Antonio National Park, walking distance to the beach (few hotels in Manuel Antonio have this plus) and near to restaurant and shop stores. It offers delicious breakfast, the food is great and the staff is super friendly. I LOVE to sleep with the A/C turned off and the sliding door to the balcony opened, so I can hear the sounds of the ocean and the jungle. Don't miss the happy hour on the 6th floor.

My family just spent five nights at the Hotel San Bada. The room was spacious enough for four, including a teenager and a preteen. (We utilized a rollaway bed with no problem.) The best things about the hotel are its location and its staff. All of our needs were addressed with good cheer, including the booking of our daily excursions. The view of the Pacific from the rooftop bar is spectacular. I highly recommend this property for families. I've noticed that some reviewers mention noise... Read more

We stayed at Hotel San Bada this last week and had the most delightful time! We were blown away at how genuinely kind and accommodating the staff was, from groundskeepers, to bar-tenders to front receptionist. The hotel is clean and has such a great view of The beach. It is literally at the entrance of Manual Antonio National Park which made it so convenient. We went to the park two days in a row. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it for a perfect vacation spot.

It was very clean, the pool area was clean and gorgeous. The rooms/ showers/ linen everything was neat and clean. There is a bar on the 6th floor with a breath taking view. The moment you walk in to check in you are received with a natural smoothie. The pool is big and beautiful and there's a hot tub. The room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed and nice comforters, TV, and balcony. The shower had hot water and a blow dryer was available for those who need to use it. We stayed here with our Caravan tour group and it's so unique in it's building. It borders the Manuel Antonio National Park and Beach. Our room backed up to the National Park and when you go out on the balcony the howler monkeys are right there in the trees. And they start howling at 4:45 am! And you may even have a large iguana cross your balcony as we did! Rooms are very clean and large bathroom with tiled shower. This is about as near as you can get to living in luxury within the rainforest. On arrival we were greeted by extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Checkin was a breeze, and our rooms were rustic luxury. Our balcony overlooked the rainforest and on our second morning,it was overrun with cute, hyper energetic squirrel monkeys, that stayed almost an hour, before drifting back into the jungle. At nights the sounds of the forest was an exotic symphony of whistles, chirps, burps, and bellows, as were t... Read more

Large rooms but it is starting to show that it needs an upgrade. the people and the service were fantastic, everybody went out of their way to make our stay as good as possible. If you are travelling to Manuel Antonio National Park this is the place to stay. Just next to park entrance the hotel is very good, with very helpful staff and a great vibe. You have a nice pool, a route to the beach and you stay just in the 'middle' of the jungle. The bar and small pool in the rooftop are also great. Rooms could be a little fresher and if you don't like bugs, try another place,

We loved hearing the howler monkeys right outside our hotel room. We were even upgraded for free! The fresh fruit , juices, beans, eggs, pancakes, etc. were especially helpful for a busy day hiking. Just been staying at the San Bada hotel. What a fab location, the hotel is right next door to the national park. The rooms are a big and have everything you need. Great air con which is a total must have. The two pools are lovely. The main pool has a swim up bar and the barman Ali is so helpful. The hotel is also 5-7mins walk to the beach and the same to a small supermarket and various restaurants and bars. The whole area is very picturesque.
