Where to begin! We were 5 women celebrating turning 50 this year. From the initial inquiry to the end of our stay, the staff at Tulemar went above and beyond in taking care of every need and question with courtesy and good humor. We stayed in a home on the property, Casa Las Nubes, which was absolutely incredible in every way. Decor, ocean views, architecture were all amazing. Indoors melds with outdoors with the pool extending from the living room to 2 terraces. Wildlife was everywhere. Monkeys... Read more

We stayed in a one bedroom bungalow that's elevated into the treetops on the side of the slope over the ocean. In other words, a beautiful spot and a great idea for a bungalow. The bungalow itself was a bit dated in the sense that it has old style door keys, older furniture and sliding wooden windows with screens, but this actually adds to the charm and is not a negative. The AC and kitchenette were great. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The food in the Tule Café was very goo... Read more

We cannot recommend Tulemar enough. This is our second year visiting Costa Rica and our second time staying at Tulemar. This year we stayed 6 nights to finish our CR trip instead of 3 like last year because we enjoyed it so much. We are a family of four, with two kids, 3 and 8. We all feel this place is very special for a variety of reasons. The staff are welcoming and put the customer first from the second you walk into their doors. They have a security guard at the top gate so you feel s... Read more

My wife and I traveled to Costa Rica for the first time for about a week (Oct 19-26). A week is definitely not enough time to see the whole country - probably need 3 weeks easy. However, a week allowed us to see some of the Central and Pacific Coast. We stayed 3 nights at the Tulemar Bungalows and Villas ?? specifically Lower Casa Panorama. This condo is the perfect size for a couple celebrating an anniversary or honeymoon or a family with perhaps two small children. The location could not b... Read more

Hey! I just took a trip to Manuel Antonio with my brother and we had the delight and privilege of staying at a bungalow in Tulemar. The beauty of the rainforest and its wildlife was the highlight of the trip and both of those things are present in abundance at Tulemar. The hiking trails and even the roads in Tulemar were full of monkeys, sloths, butterflies and other critters of interest. It's a great place to stay to enjoy all of that natural beauty. But the thing that made it comfortable, sa... Read more

From the very hospitable team members, to the luxury interiors, to the welcomed wildlife each morning on our balcony, this place is simply magical. I'd recommend it to anyone. Surprise after suprise greeted us each day in Costa Rica and Tulemar was simply the most perfect base to enjoy it all from.

Tulemar is absolutely amazing. We had the opportunity to visit with some family and split our stay between casa mirador and villa ceileto. Although the weather didn't comply (rained every day) I feel that the beautiful atmosphere still made the vacation enjoyable. The wildlife is amazing we saw 3 types of monkeys, macaws, toucans, sloths and I believe there called capybaras. The villas are really nice, casa mirador had the most amazing view but a little less modern and villa ceileto which wa... Read more

We stayed in November of 2016 at the Casa Mirador. Chris Madrigal was our concierge and he went above and beyond to assure we had a great time. My kids ages 7 and 9 LOVED Tulemar! The swimming pools, ground, beach access and service were excellent. We went on one of their small hikes and end up in a small waterfall right on property. Our place had an outdoor grill which we highly recommend if you like bbqing. They cleaned up our place daily and did a wonderful job, it was awesome to come to a c... Read more

This was our third stay at Tulemar and again did not disappoint. We stayed at motmot hideaway and again were graced with numerous monkeys birds and sloths not to mention the beautiful view. It was a rainy time but we did have sunny breaks and enjoyed the beach and grounds. The people make the difference and I can't say enough about David that takes care of you at the beach he truly is a star and cares that you are relaxing and you're comfortable. Daniella was working at the beach bar and truly... Read more

Wow where to start! This place is paradise. We stayed four nights with two kids (4 and 6). It has great pools - our favorite was the family pool. We stayed in the jungle bungalows which were a bit tired but totally comfortable clean and suited our needs. There are two nice jungle walks down to a fantastic beach. You can take the shuttle back up. The beach has full service (food, cocktails, boogie boards, kayaks, towels). Our concierge, Mauricio, was super helpful with booking tours and keeping u... Read more

Got back to the snow a week ago after spending 2 weeks in Costa Rica. We spent 5 days in the Manuel Antonio area, and at the Tulemar Villa. Whoa, what a beautiful place. If you want to see Costa Rican wildlife, spend time on a private beach, tour all the fabulous things they are doing at the Sloth sanctuary on the resort property, then Tulemar Villa is the place to stay. We stayed in one of the Bungalows, and had a beautiful view of the ocean, and the surrounding jungle forest on the resort.... Read more

Our family spent a week at Tulemar in Villa Cielito. All seven of us agreed it was our best vacation ever! From the wildlife, the view from our Villa, the way we were treated by the entire staff, and the food, we can't wait to return. Ashley was fantastic and arranged many fun excursions outside of Tulemar. I cannot think of one negative thing to say, other than we should have stayed longer!

Casa Del Mar was fantastic. Great house with modern touches. The ocean views on the balcony were nice. We enjoyed seeing monkeys and toucans on balcony. Great location. Can walk to local restaurants. Great concierge. Ashley was exceptional. The resort is a bargain compared to four seasons and villa caletas. Best hidden secret in Costa RIca.

Just returned from staying our 7th time at Tulemar and it was excellent as usual! We stood at Casa Mirador upper level and Villa Cielito. Views from both were amazing! Lots of squirrel monkeys on the deck of Villa Cielito. Great views of beautiful Macaws flying overhead daily! The wildlife here never disappoints. Everyone at Tulemar was great, they always are!
