Rio Perdido is an incredible gorgeous property! Many fun on-site activities such as water tubing, ziplining or just relaxing in spa, rio perdido thermal springs and pools, cocktails and good food. No matter what you are doing, rio perdido staff will make you feel very special because they are attentive and pay close attention to detail. Complementary breakfast is nutritious and delicious starting with fresh fruit juice, fruit salad and homemade mince biscuits!

Absolutely amazing all around - the staff is spectacular and goes above and beyond in every way possible, the rooms are immaculate and stylish, the hot springs are incredible and the hiking was great. Rio Perdido is a complete paradise. We will be back for sure!

Rio Perdido is absolutely beautiful. The staff and accommodations were beyond our expectations. We combined this with a few days at a beach resort and it was the perfect vacation. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone needing to relax and unwind in Paradise!

We just ended an 11 day tour around the Guanacaste area for the first time. Started on the northern coast from Playa Papagayo to Tamarindo, to Nosara, ending at Rio Predido. What a perfect ending to an amazing time in Costa Rica once again. Rio Predido is just off the grid enough to enjoy a peaceful piece of heaven and totally disconnect from the hustle and bustle. Really appreciated all the amazing people who make the stay there all the more enjoyable.A warm "Thanks!" and shout out to. Ariel ,M... Read more

This stay was the favorite part of my entire family's vacation. The rooms are so comfortable and located right in the tropical forest. The river located below the room area is a perfect setting for relaxing day and night. There were great trails for hiking, river rafting, and zip lining all onsite. The staff is the friendliest individuals we have come across.

My best friend and I spent 3 days at Rio Perdido last week and had a wonderful time. The rooms are these fantastic little cabins but so chicly designed, not rustic (I do not really do rustic living quarters). We marveled at the attention to detail and how cool the whole design was. The restaurant has absolutely delicious food and everyone there is friendly, helpful, and fun. We loved ziplining with Jonathan and Martinez, they are fabulous! Don't miss that adventure. Love this place! Drove from Quepos with our five year old. Drive was about 4.5 hours. It was worth it. One of the pools is normal temperature but our son enjoyed all three. The river is paradise indeed. This place is definitely a gem. Very relaxing and and well designed. Staff is super accommodating. Place is the perfect balance of comfort and nature.

All of the staff was helpful and friendly. Everyone made sure our stay was a good as it could be. An example was when we were out one night looking for wild life. One of the staff members saw us when he was leaving for the night. He took his own time to walk us back towards the hotel to show an anteater.

My family is very familiar with Costa Rica, so finding a new place with things to do and a good atmosphere isn't simple. Rio Perdido provides novel treehouses with all the conveniences that are in the middle of the trees, which gives a feeling of personal space while being very close to nature. The main lodge has a large dining room with a fantastic open-air view of the valley and low mountains. The food is excellent, and you can try out some unusual cocktails or ask for an old favorite. My first trip to Costa Rica and what a treat to find this hotel! So easy to do so much. We went white river tubing, zip line, mountain bike, swam in hot springs feed rivers all in walking distance from our rooms! So easy, so relaxing. The staff was awesome and the food is tasty. We enjoyed peaceful views of the jungle from the restaurant. There is so much more to this place that it takes a while to soak it all in.

We stayed at Rio Perdido for first 3 nights of a 9 night first-time visit to Costa Rica. What a wonderful welcome to an amazing country. I was celebrating my 40th birthday - and they had a "felicidades" sign greeting me upon arrival in our bungalow. We landed in Liberia, rented a car and drove to the property. Once we figured out the how to get into the Bagaces from the highway, the signage to Rio Perdido was plentiful and helpful. We took full advantage of what Rio Perdido had to offer. ... Read more

Rio Perdido is off the beaten path, for sure. The last 4km getting you there are a bumpy dirt road. This place is nestled in the middle of hundreds of acres of rain forest. Once there you are a bit captive. The good news is that it is fabulous, so you won't want to leave! Definitely do the activities (zip lining, hiking, lazy river rafting).

Fantastic! The property is clean and updated although the location is remote and seems virtually untouched by humans. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hot springs are nestled within the lush jungle. You can't imagine the scenery as it seems too beautiful to be real. The zip lining was great but the tubing was my favourite. I can't say enough positive things about Rio Perdido

This place was amazing!!! It is so remote that you will not know where you are at, but the surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful. The staff was so REFRESHING, LOVING, HELPFUL, FUN. You could tell they genuinely loved their job and loved people. My group went whitewater tubing and I wanted to skip that part so our host took me hiking and exploring the rain forest. I know he did not have to do this, but he was so friendly and wanted to make sure that we all had a good time. The ziplining ... Read more

I can't speak highly enough of our experience at Rio Perdido. While there are many wonderful things to be said about the location and activities, what really stood out was the impeccable service at every turn. Mario and Ricardo were particularly helpful in organizing our stay for us, but really every member of the staff was amazing. Three nights was the perfect amount of time to get in a good balance of activities (hiking/tubing/etc) and relaxing by the poolside. Admittedly we did end up spe... Read more

We went with two of my friends for a girls weekend. Our arrival made me feel like royalty - they were so attentive! the guest service was top notch! we spent the first night in the thermal hot spring-fed pools just chatting and sipping champagne that they brought to us pool-side (even after dark). We wanted dinner and they offered to bring it to our hut for us! Just fabulous service! My husband and I spent the first week of our honeymoon at Rio Perdido. Based on the ratings of Trip Advisor, our expectations were set high before we even arrived. They, the lovely staff, exceeded those expectations every day, over and over!!! Wow! The bungalows were modern, clean and well equipped; a wonderful hideaway among nature. Our local Tour Guide Randall, owner of Shaman Tours Costa Rica highly recommended this day tour and we are so glad he did! Nestled in the mountains with a one hour ride from Coco and for a very reasonable fee we had a day to remember. The thermal river has many pools including a mud bath, perfect for the whole family. Enjoy lunch in the open air hotel lobby which included farm fresh fish, chicken and fresh veggies. Two of the four decided to take the zip line while the other two enjoyed the spa... Read more

We had a wonderful experience at RP. We spent four nights and had three days of relaxation and great activities (all located on the property). The staff are very friendly, anxious to help and are a lot of fun. The visit to RP offered us a nice mountain experience before heading to the coast for the balance of our visit to CR. The visit to Rio Perdido made a lasting impression on my whole family. So happy we had the opportunity to visit.
