We did not stay at the resort but did the day pass with lunch buffet. The buffet was OK but the rest of the terrific. We made 2 trips down to the thermal river and spent most of our time either their or in the pool. We were almost alone in the jungle while we swam in the different pools. There was a family of monkeys watching us as we watched them. It was relaxing and beautiful.

We had an amazing time during our 3 night stay. We hiked, went to the hot springs, enjoyed the pool, went zip lining... all right there! To us, the best part of Rio Perdido is the staff. They helped us practice our Spanish, made sure we understood all the activities available to us, they talked with us about things to do during the next leg of our trip, they were overall extremely kind people. I have several food allergies (dairy, egg & gluten) which can make eating out a big challenge but it wa... Read more

Found this gem on tripadvisor and wondered if it was too good to be true. Stayed in early March with my boyfriend for 4 nights and it was truly amazing. This place deserves all the praise it gets, the staff is unbelievable. They want to do everything they can to make your stay great, when we got there I thought I left our passports at the previous hotel we were at 45 mins away, the staff called the hotel had someone check our room constantly reassured us that if we did lose them they would ha... My husband and I were recently in Costa Rica for our honeymoon and spent two days at Rio Perdido. The resort is great and the staff is helpful and very friendly. We did the free hikes offered by the resort along with morning yoga. The food is good. We loved our bungalow! There are numerous natural hot springs to enjoy! The resort is very secluded so if you book here plan to stay at the resort only. There is plenty to do and very relaxing. We also did the tubing adventure in the canyon tha... Read more

Rio Perdido is an incredible, unique property! My husband and I visited Rio Perdido the first week of April for four days and loved everything about it. The personalized service is amazing and the resort is beautiful. The property was built in a way to allow guests to immerse themselves in the environment. You get to see a variety of birds and monkeys throughout your stay. It seemed like everyone who works there really wanted to make sure your stay was wonderful. I was sick the first night and ...
