Although construction was still underway, the overall grounds were in great condition. The view from the room was spectacular. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and neat. They could use some additional furniture with drawers for some personal items. The bathroom is expansive, complete with his and her sinks and a separate toilet area. As I mentioned the grounds were in great condition albeit the dry season and construction. I will say that t... We searched long and hard for the best place to stay on the Pacific coast and choose for our 5 day stay. The good: the hotel is brand new with amazing viewed over carillo bay. The bad: the hotel is pretty empty and the staff although well meaning don't seem experienced in running a hotel. The food is so overprivced- $26 for a simple pasta dish more that is pay in a top Italian restaurant in Venice. With a couple of other glitches be had to be really forceful to get then resolved to our satisfa... Read more

The rooms are very big and we were lucky to have a balcony looking directly onto the beach. Spectacular views of the sunset. The ground are very sparse ( 6 months after opening) and the rooms have no artwork or storage space. No bedside lights - ceiling lights or no lights. Shower was leaking ( 6 months after opening). The paths to and from the pool and restaurant are VERY steep. Need a good degree of fitness to tackle the slope in the heat. Staff seem willing but need some direction to ... Read more

Loved this place! Spent 3 nights. Terrific views, food, service, location. The price was unbelievable for what they offer. I imagine it will go up once it is completed. Unlike other reviewers I found the room had enough furnishings and that the air conditioning worked fine once we figured out how to work it with the remote. The pool was awesome, especially at night. Food portions were large so we shared a salad and entree and it was plenty. Average dinner with drinks and desert was $50. Well wor... Read more

This place really is great we stayed here for two nights and were not ready to leave. The views from the pool are as good as it gets. The drinks from the bar were reasonable. All of the staff were very accommodating and overall great. The room we got was on the second floor and had amazing views of the ocean. There was a semblance of a closet where we kept our bags, but like other reviewers have said the rooms are pretty bare. Once everything is in place this hotel will be amazing. As it is curr... We stayed for two days at the hotel. We knew from the review from 6 months ago that the hotel was not fully operational but we were hopeful and driven from positive reviews. Nothing is ready: there is no gate or guard at the entry of the property. The reception is a desolated land. No decoration in any space of the hotel. Constructions at site is still ongoing with some noise. No landscaping: all trees and bushes were torn down for the construction and no vegetation is left around the buildings.... Read more

Wow, I am shocked at reading poor reviews for this hotel. We stayed there last month and we would go back in a heart beat. The staff was friendly and very helpful at all times. Yes there was some construction, but it did not interfere with the hotel at all. We loved the beach below, as it was quiet and beautiful. The breakfast they offered was delicious, and their ceviche was amazing. The rooms were spacious and very nice. We had an amazing time there, and would love to go back again very soon!... Read more

This hotel was lovely and had a wonderful view of the beach. The staff was lovely and friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. My only "complaint" (though that is too strong a word), is that it is a bit lacking in character simply due to its newness. (i.e, nothing on the walls, no gardens etc). However, this did not impact our stay at all. We loved it and would go back in a second!

I spent the weekend there wit my family and we had a great time! We never expected the food to be one of the highlights of our trip, but it was! It was fantastic. The service was excellent too. By the end of our trip, everybody was calling us by our names! The view of Playa Carrillo, one of the most beautiful beaches un Guanacaste, is amazing. Overall, a great place to spend a few relaxing days in!

Loved, loved our stay and would go back today...This hotel has the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life. The staff are friendly and took excellent care of all our needs. Rooms are clean and very large. My only suggestion would be to install bathroom doors since our son was sharing a room with us. The hotel is still under-construction but it was not a problem for us. Thanks to Nammbu Beachfront Bungalows our family has great memories or our great trip to Costa Rica.

If you love amazing views, phenomenal service, peace and quiet, and yet an easy walk to a gorgeous beach- then you will love Nammbu. Diego was our waiter and quickly became our go-to for anything we needed. He was fabulous! Sámara Beach, which is a beach town, is about 10 minutes away. There are many restaurants, tours and beach action. Fun to hang out and enjoy the vibe but also great to head back to quiet Playa Carrillo or even the beautiful pool at Nammbu. We've traveled all over Costa ... Read more

This is a newer resort from what I could tell. The rooms were big and had amazing big windows with views. Air condition worked very well and the bathroom was big and modern. It was perhaps a little sterile. There was nothing on the walls and very little (if any) adornments throughout the resort. It was a little strange. Maybe they thought the views were good enough and I admit they were very nice. The pool was very nice and the beach was a short 10 minute walk across the street. The ne... Read more

Stayed for 2 nights in this fairly new hotel (opened 8 months ago?). The location is perfect and each room has a good view of the Carillo Beach. The rooms are spacious! The architecture is modern and yet the style blends in well with the environment. Service is efficient and friendly. We enjoyed the infinity pool while gazing at the beautiful sunset and while sipping our drinks at the poolside. I tasted one of the best fish ceviche, kudos to the chef. Will definitely stay at this hotel when I go... Read more

Second floor rooms with swing on porch, over looking the Pacific, doesn't get any better. Pool plesent. Even though we were in the rain season, no problem. Bud and Bobbie had super time. Only problem, walkways between pool and room rather steep, but was good exercise. We called front desk for golf cart rides, again no problem.

This was our favorite hotel of the 4 locations we stayed in Costa Rica. Brand new, huge rooms overlooking the Carrillo beach near Playa Samara. Infinity pool and bar. The rooms have a lay on your bed and see the ocean view and are huge.

This hotel has tons of potential. Rooms are huge and well equipped, and you get breathtaking ocean views from almost anywhere. Food, though limited, was good, and they had a broad selection of wines and liquors. But even though they opened about 9 months ago, some things still feel half-done. I guess it´s all about the details, as decorations are practically nonexistent, but the staff also seems to be in the process of learning their trade. But overall, they´ve already got a lot on their side,... Read more

We stayed at Nammbu the first week of November 2016. The staff was not accommodating, friendly or professional. Our friends had problems with their room locking and they made them wait over an hour for someone to show up to fix the door. It was soon to be sunset and they did not have a view of the ocean and wanted to sit with the group at the pool. The place was not full at all and would not move them even though it was requested. They had over 30 small centipedes in there room being next to th... Read more

I agree with Jaime C in that this property has huge potential once it is completed. Room are very large, A/C works well and bed was comfortable. Our shower also leaked and was not repaired. Found it strange there were no hooks to hang towels, not a single piece of art anywhere, and not a clock on the nightstand (am I too old school?) On the morning of departure, we were told to call the front desk when our luggage was ready. We tried for at least 10 minutes without an answer. Not sure what the ... Read more
