We visited this little gem this past week as part of a high school reunion. The staff, from the owners to the front desk group to the wait staff to housekeeping, were unerringly friendly and truly interested in making our stay as spectacular as possible. There is music here, often live music, laughter and greetings of "Pura Vida!" throughout the day. Air conditioned rooms with comfortable beds and good water pressure in the showers are very well kept and as clean as you want them to be. There ar... Read more

We really enjoyed the Villa del Sueno. The bed was made beautifully with pressed sheets and a fluffy comforter. The shower I think was my favorite part however. The water pressure was incredible and maybe the first truly HOT shower I had during our one week trek across the Guanacaste region. The bathroom amenities were made specific for the hotel and smelled incredible...especially the Ylang Ylang shampoo. We had a delicious dinner with attentive friendly and prompt staff, enjoyed a dip in... Read more

My family and I were here for 5 days. We honestly did not like most things about this hotel. At the end, we wished we stayed a coco beach. Many people have mentioned that. Listen to them! Even if you booked your stay with "Anywhere Costa Rica", tell them you want to stay in coco beach. We stayed in two other hotels that were much better than this one. This hotel has about 12 rooms that are actually hotel rooms, and the rest are condo's. People live there for 3 months a year. That is a disadvan... Read more

Beautiful small hotel 5 minute walk from beach. They accommodated a group of about 12 couples for a mini reunion and staff was very helpful. Beautiful grounds, great food and Sylvia, the owner and head chef was awesome in preparing a wonderful cake for a special birthday occasion.

First on Playa Hermosa generally: Playa Hermosa is an okay beach. It's fairly quiet and not overrun with tourists, but there are almost ZERO dining or shopping options within walking distance. If you like to walk to these amenities, then you would be best served by Playa del Coco or another area beach. I fell in love with Playa Conchal and will stay there next time. On Villa del Sueno: The location was okay. It's about a block to the beach, but most resorts in CR are not directly on the b... Read more

We had a good stay here. The room was basic but nice. Good AC. The staff were responsive and friendly. The continental breakfast was the same every day, but was pretty good and filling. Near the quieter end of the beach. Would recommend.

We spent two nights at the Villa in December 2016. Miguel was very helpful both on the phone before we arrived and while we were there. It's a short walk to the beautiful beach. They provide a nice breakfast and a lovely pool. Very accommodating!

The staff was great and one of the owners Claud friendly and helpful. Thank you. Breakfast was wonder each and every morning. Very clean rooms, gorgeous pool and grounds. Quiet area and a short walk to the beach. Could not have asked for more.

There are crazy expensive places to stay in Liberia but lots of affordable places as well. This place is very affordable and is surprisingly nice in light of the low price. The place is immaculate and staff are all friendly. The rooms are quite comfortable and nice upgrades are available for very small additional cost. It is about 100 yard walk from the beach but it is an easy walk. The only thing we did not like was that the restaurant advertised is only open for dinner during higher occupancy ... Read more

The hotel wasn't on the beach & no ocean views but it was only a few minutes walk to the beach which was great for us. We stayed 2 nights off season in October so they only had breakfast (great crepes) and not too many options unless you have a vehicle. Thank you Miguel for finding us ice cream and answering our questions. The rooms are nice, clean and the water pressure in the shower was great. The bed was the best we've slept in out of the 3 other places we stayed in during this trip.
