Overall a very nice place to stay. Given the multitude of very expensive options around the area this place was upscale but also not too expensive. The pools were great and not too busy (We were there in May). Free breakfast was the best we had during our entire trip in CR. Rooms were clean and ours had a great view of the Volcano.

They have options to tours that you can set up. We went zip lining, kayaking and hiking. Would certainly go back again.

The rooms have a great view of the Volcano from the balcony. Their are multiple pools that are heated off the volcano and a cold pool. Their is also a Sauna and 4 spas. We visited during green season so their were not a lot of people here. The restraint was pretty fair priced and the food was very tasty. What we liked most about the hotel was the staff. This is an emaculate hotel with first class service. The staff is remarkably responsive and friendly. The achectecture and furnishings are decidedly dated, and I that makes it charming. I think the rates are competitive for the green season, but you can probably find better deals at top season. Great that they close pool at 10 pm as there were lots of kids making a lot of noise.

My family stayed at the resort with 2 kids. I recommend spending the extra $$ and getting the suite. The small difference in price is well worth it. You get a jacuzzi in the room, a separate sitting area, larger bathroom among other things. The only reason I gave this place 4 vs 5 is that their daytime menus are very limited and quite expensive. Overall staff was friendly, accommodating, and courteous. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had some young kids next door that were a little rowdy but they immediately gave us another room. I am pleased and can't wait to return. I highly recommend this place. The thermal water was so relaxing and the town was close enough to grab a biteand visit the local church.

The hotel looks just like the pictures. The pool, hot springs, and volcano view from our room was wonderful. We also enjoyed a couples massage that was great as well. Definitely recommend this hotel. The free wifi and breakfast makes the hotel even better. We were celebrating our anniversary and the hotel made sure to do something special. Rent a car so you can drive the short distance into town and enjoy some local food at very cheap prices.

My husband and I spent 3 days and would have loved to stay much longer. Wonderful room, excellent service , friendly staff. Lovely grounds, a selection of pools, private hot tub areas. The breakfast is amazing, the variety is endless, the coffee is SO good. We thought this was the best luxurious spot of our Costa Rica experience. Would love to go back.

This hotel is awesome if you like being on a major highway. We wanted to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature, but all we can hear is the massive amount of traffic on the highway. Horrible, wish we could check out with no penalty. Very dissapointed! I wish more people would have written about the noise, as I would not have booked here.

What an amazing vacation thanks to the staff at The Royal Corin! The were all so friendly and attentive. The pool area was relaxing with several thermal spas ad sauna to chose from. The breakfast was delicious and the dinner was pretty good although we only went once. Preferred to go into town to eat some of the local food, specifically Casada. Definetely will return to Royal Corin for my next visit to Costa Rica. It's a great value for your money especially that breakfast was included.

This is a beautiful medium sized property with a wonderful view of the Arenal volcano and short distance from the town of Lafortuna. The breakfast and free wifi were both wonderful and reliable. The steam room was very nice however the thermally heated swimming pools and spas were lukewarm at best. A far cry from the thermal spas found at the Tabacon. I selected this property because of its claim of having several heated pools and spas. Our accommodations were upgraded to a well appointed suite... Read more

This was my second visit to the Arenal area and it wasn't a disappointment, Several friends and I stayed at the Royal Corin, which was a nice, boutique hotel about 10 minutes away from the town of La Fortuna. Don't let the initial drive to the entrance turn you away. I'm a bit of a princess when it comes to lodging, so I was pleased by the cleanliness of the property. , . The room was spotless. Every room has a view of the volcano. OUr first room didn't have the best view so the management upgr... Read more

Very nice place, we were their in the slow season (Oct). I visited a few of the other Spas in the area and the Royal Corin was more Relaxed, Mature and Elegant. The other near by places had more of a Las Vegas or Disney feel, not what I was looking for at the time. I recommended staying in the Suites, a lot more bang for your buck. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The view of Arenal from the room/balcony is incredible. The only down side is road noise from trucks using their compressi... Read more

We stayed in the Royal Corin last week. With it being the "rainy season" and the hotel's pool was currently being worked on and out of commission, we were about one of 5 rooms being occupied. The hotel staff was amazing! First, it was my husband's birthday and I told them ahead of time so when we got to the room there was a cake made out of towels and flowers along with chocolates. Then because the pool was out of commission, they gave us a free pass to the Pacific hot Springs across the str... Read more

Perfect Volcano view. Great service. Amazing thermal pools. Nice and clean rooms. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time. The location is perfect and it's only a few minutes away from the center of town and all major activities.

What can I say about this hotel, STAY HERE! The staff were superb, the rooms are lovely, we had a balcony overlooking the pools and the volcano. The thermal pools are just sublime, loved the swim up bar, and there are about 6 jacuzzis to choose from too. This is the perfect place for a retreat and a good base to explore the area. It is not in the centre of town though so be prepared to either eat at the restaurant (food was good but quite pricey) or pay for a taxi into town.

Helpful, friendly staff. Delicious food. Wonderful water. Easy access day trips and adventures. Screened door to the balcony so you may enjoy the fresh air! We rented light 4WD in San Jose and felt very comfortable driving to and from, but ask before how to negotiate the one lane bridges and yield/merge lanes. That's the key.

Good place for relaxing. Pools are clean. Food is good as well. I just want to mention that the staff is very kind, sometimes excessively insistent, so I recommend be careful of balancing that approach to not overwhelm the visitors.

I chose this place after reading other tripadvisor reviews and I'm glad I did. The staff is super accommodating - if you need something just ask. The rooms are spacious, clean and our king bed is really comfortable. The shower is fantastic with a waterfall shower head and body jets. The hot spring pools have the same water source as the other larger or more expensive area resorts in the area. Beautiful view of Arenal from all the rooms.

We spent 2 nights here and loved it. The staff are so wonderful. Everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant is really delicious (but a tad expensive). The pools are a wonderful way to relax after a day of activities around the volcano. The rooms are wonderful - beautifully and tastefully decorated, comfy beds, big bathrooms and a lovely balcony. I was nervous about choosing a place online, but everything about the Royal Corin exceeded our expectations! Our room was GORGEOUS (master suite), welcome drink (fun!), they brought us choc covered strawberries (nice surprise), the view of the volcano was incredible, the food was excellent, the pools were great, the couples massage was just what we needed, and the front desk employees were so helpful with booking all our adventures. I would HIGHLY recommend this place!

I chose this property due to the amenities and pictures on-line. Unfortunately, it wasn't up to our expectations. Upon arrival the staff was extremely friendly and throughout our entire stay (that was the one plus). When we arrived to the room it was outdated, small television and a musty smell (because you have to put your room key into an outlet in order for you to have electricity). This property is rated one of the highest in La Fortuna and I wasn't impressed.

Everything was clean and fresh and the staff took great care to make us feel welcome and explain all the amenities. Loved the thermal pools - fabulous way to unwind after a strenuous day. I was impressed upon our arrival with the welcome from Brian and the slick presentation of welcome drinks. The bedrooms were nice and the bathroom was well laid out. Great coffee machine provided good coffee. Pools were warm and there was a view of the volcano, but on the down side we were close to the road. One in our party had to wait a long time (20 mins plus) at the poolside bar as he ordered milkshakes. Breakfast was OK, but coffee and tea were both self service, for the first time during o... We booked this hotel for our party of 8, over 4 rooms through booking.com, we were told when reserving that a credit card was needed to reserve the room only. However, upon arrival they had taken the full amount from one card which should have been split between the party when arriving. Andrey on reception was very unhelpful and rude about the situation and continued to laugh and smile in my face despite my obvious anger. Condescending is an understatement. During our stay we have been surprised by the Hurricane Otto. Very scaring to be in Costa Rica when something like that happens.
