"We read all of the reviews here and on trip advisor prior to booking this trip. We found most of the reviews to be correct. The people at the front desk were rude and did not accomodate any of the requests we made at booking. We asked for King size beds and for our rooms to be near the couples we were traveling with. Two of our three rooms had king size beds but the rooms were not close. Then when we asked to change the double bed room to a king size they changed which couple got the king size bed. We also had to wait for our rooms to be cleaned but we were given our wrist bands so we could go eat and drink while waitng. Our overall experience here was good. The food was great, there are alot of different dining options (outdoor, indoor, latin, french etc.) We made reservations for every night as soon as we arrived and had no problem getting in. However the restaurants are small and during the busy season may be more difficult to get reservations for. The bar, restaurant and entertainment staff were great. We celebrated my father's birthday here and they did the whole cake and singing thing with champagne and pictures. We had a great time laughing and joking with the staff. They were friendly, personable and spoke great english. We booked outside the resort on the beach to book a Canopy Zip Line tour and ATV tour. Both tours were great and we felt completely safe, would recommend using him. The complimentary 30 minute massage was a joke. They only let you go between 4-7pm, we had no water or glasses, locker or towels. We bought extra time to have a 50 minute massage and when we arrived it was more expensive then what we were told. Per our paperwork we should have gotten one massage per person and the spa told us it was only per room. The massage itself was wonderful and the massage therapists were amazing. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The pool was not exceptionally clean but some of that has to do with dirty people leaving garbage all over. transportation to and from the airport were fabulous. We did not stop at multiple hotels. It was a straight drive to the hotel and only took about 45minutes to an hour to get there."

"Food was very good, pool bar staff no so much and the liquor was fake. Do not expect to be treated special if you are here on your honeymoon. This was very disappointing, especially when they asked to see our marriage license upon arrival. The guys at arenas adventures were great!"

"Our stay at the Westin was fantastic. Everything and more than we expected. We have been to several all inclusive resorts and this one has been the best so far. The staff at every level was great. Helpful and courteous. Everyone speaks english. Can't say enough. Do not listen to the negative reviews u read. We did and are glad we chose this one. We will definitely be back. Great tour guides and easy to talk to and spend time with. Great country to visit."

"I hate to trash, but this is maybe 3.5 stars at it's best. My family has been doing high end all exclusives for 20 years. The Good: friendly staff (about 85% of them), great golf course, a lot of restaurants, nice setting and pretty good service. The Bad: grounds not neat, 15% of staff has attitude, they use diesel small trucks to drive you around not electric golf carts - smells like a truck stop, restaurants always booked - you must book immediately, rooms dated (and I heard they just put 15 mil in resort and could not tell you where), gym dated, no pool service - must get up to get drinks & food yourself, must sign in every time you use internet - not free, food trays - linens to be picked up left out side rooms for hours until picked up, WORST is I paid premium money and had to wear a green wrist band (yes places still do that) and found I was limited in areas I could go, dine, swim and liquor I could drink (no premium) and other members wore gold bands and had full privileges, I felt like a second class citizen. I couldn't even buy an upgrade. Details, details detail and they don't get it. I did not let this ruin my time, just didn't focus on this. Wish I read this review first LOL. "

"Let me just start out by saying that we are already planning our trip back to The Westin in Costa Rica! What a great experience! My family has been to a handfull of all inclusive hotels and said they've had to sacrifice on the quality of the food but at the Westin Playa Conchal, we were all very impressed! The village itself is nothing but beautiful, the rooms are spacious and to the cleanest, the food was amazing and for everything being free, I was very impressed. I had an amazing experience with all of the different choices of food around the resort. The pool was great, the swim up bar is a great touch. The staff and everyone staying at the resort were so very friendly, we had a great time making friends. Zip Lining at the Congo Trail Canopy Tours and the ATV ride up there was an amazingly fun experience. We also took the horseback riding tour up the mountains to watch the sunset. There was a little hiking involved but if you don't mind that, it was a once in a lifetime experience. We planned our excursions through the nice men on the beach, they're from Trip Advisor and Pablo and Eric were very helpful. Great prices for the amount of fun we all had. At the end of the trip, I definitely did not want to leave! I definitely recommend this resort to anyone who likes to live in paradise!"
