The Hotel is nice. The rooms are very basic and the food is not good. It gave us both the runs. The hotel grounds are pretty. I would recommend staying 2nights max. You can basically do all of the activities in one day. So after that you will prob get bored. We did the adventure tour all day pass and it was def worth it. It was well organized and fun and a good way to spend the day. We barely saw any wildlife which was disappointing. But perhaps due to the drought. If you love nature, hikin... Read more

We stayed in room 62 which is in a separate area and therefor very quiet. Beautiful huge tree in the garden attracts birds in the morning. Gardens well tended. Room is basic and clean. The bed is reasonably comfortable. Food is a little overpriced but not bad. The breakfast buffet has good options for kids. Lunch and dinner menu is the same and has limited options for kids who are picky eaters.

We stayed just for 2 nights in order to visit the volcano. In general was a nice stay. Staff good, usual all inclusive food (not bad not amazing), simple rooms. They only thing I would like to stress here is that we were all bitten from something like bed bugs. It was really very disturbing. Apart from this the rest was totally fine...

My husband, two boys (ages 3 and 6) and I stayed here in early April. It was wonderful. We stayed in a superior room with two king beds and it was updated and spacious. It was clean, and aside from a few ants, bug-free... no small feat in Costa Rica. The breakfast was included and had a buffet of fruits, yogurt, bread, cheese, cereal, rice and beans and more, plus made to order eggs or omelets and fresh pancakes. We found the dinner buffet a little steep at $22 per adult, but you can order a la ... Read more

This hotel or more like "resort" was a tourist trap. It's unfortunate because it is the only place to eat when your spending a day at the park. They charged WAY too much for really terrible food, the servers could barely take a simple order from you, and they were very, very slow. They basically had nothing that they listed on their menu, which is common in Central America but this was just a little ridiculous. Worst part is they charged $4 for a beer! That's more than in the states! Rooms were ... Read more
