"The Flamingo Beach Resort was great I would definently recommend this resort to friends. Definetly go All Inclusive, otherwise it is Very expensive. They have a great buffet. We were there for 10 days and I only ordered off the menu once. They have towels free for using, Pool was great. The Photo Staff took some getting used to. At first we thought they were just taking random pics for brochure or website use but they will take several pics for you to purchase. All on a CD so you can print as many as you like. The Kids room was great as well. Ping Pong, Pool tables, Mini movie theatre, Free wifi.
. I paid an extra $1000.00 for five of us to get to Costa Rica in 1 day. This did not happen. We were stuck in Houston over night. This is the original package that you can purchase, I did not want to stay overnight so I paid.
Now I am having trouble getting a refund "

"The Flamingo Beach Hotel & Spa is very nicely landscaped property built around a large pool. The pool area accommodates plenty of people without feeling crowded and features a very popular swim-up bar. Mostly families with or without children and no signs of Spring Break revelers. The rooms are clean, the building is well-constructed, and the floors are all tile and marble. You can book your stay as an all-inclusive or as room only. This was our first experience with an all-inclusive and we were very pleased with the buffet style that emphasizes Costa Rican food and includes lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, chicken, rice and beans. You can also order a large variety of things from the menu, but it just takes longer. The staff were very friendly, hard-working and always trying to make the guests comfortable. The property is walled and gated with security staff 24/7 and we always felt safe. The beach is clean and wide and located just across a bumpy local street. The ocean is friendly with waves varying from calm to about 3 feet. It's not a surfing beach and there's no surfing within walking distance, my biggest disappointment since I like to boogie board. The one thing I didn't really like much was the hotel-sponsored photo staff constantly circulating taking pictures without asking, hoping you'll come to their store in the hotel and buy some pictures. If you don't take many pictures yourself you might like this service, but I like to take my own. We went near the end of March, which is the end of their dry season and lots of the vegetation has dropped its leaves. It was sunny and hot everyday, so bring plenty of suncreen. Overall, a place that I would recommend to a friend."

"My overall experience was bad because I was under the assumption that I was booking an all inclusive resort as it stated in the property description. But it was not all inclusive. I paid $1,023 for flight and hotel and the hotel wasn't all inclusive. At the time of my booking there were other cheaper all inclusive resorts but this one seemed like a better quality. Imagine how I felt when I got to Costa rica.

The resort is manily for couples and families. If you're single or with friends, this is probably not the best place. After 9pm everything shuts down and there's nothing to do and it's pitch black.

The pool side activities were good as well as the staff. The staff remembers your name and tries to help you with your Spanish as much as possible."

"The staff at the flamingo hotel were great . We were disappointed with the all inclusive. An added charge for name brand liquor and some steaks , shrimps and other menu items .The items in the room mini fridge were too expensive. We were also lead to believe there was a jacuzzi pool. The jacuzzi was in the spa and was too expensive to use. Umbrellas for the beach had to be rented daily and the cost was $45. Bikes ,paddle boards were also rented at additional costs. Before you book make sure you have a list of what is included in all inclusive. This was not all inclusive. We were to have prearranged transportation to our hotel and they got the day wrong and I am still trying to get reimbursed as it was not our fault."
