Perfect price, clean bedrooms and about food, ufffffffff the Restaurant Acuarelas with their buffet breakfast (included with reservation) and their dinners are amazing. Great Arenal volcano view and a peacefully and quite place. Excelent hot springs pools, I would recommend it with my eyes closed.

I have been visiting this area for the past 8 years and trust me I have seen and experienced the variety of accommodations that the area has to offer. What makes this place different besides than an amazing breakfast, a perfect location, and professionally trained staff. Are the amazing views of the Arenal Volcano. All of the bungalows are strategically located which makes it impossible not to miss any views of the volcano and the beautiful lushness of the rain forest. Literally, it feels like... Read more

I stayed at Hotel Montana de Fuego with a group of friends. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The views of Arenal were gorgeous. It's close to the national park and great restaurants. I highly recommend it while visiting Arenal. They serve a typical Costarican breakfast. Mitchell Atlas

Me and my friend stayed at Montana De Fuego for 3 nights last week. We had booked the Suite on the water and when we arrived it wasn't really what the photos made it look like. We thought it was going to be an open concept but it was actually 4 individual rooms making us feel very separated and the interior was outdated. I called the front desk and they immediately said I could some see another room type, and when I did I loved the Mini Suite and we easily moved. Since I booked on Booking.com th... Read more

We stayed 2 nights in a lake suite. It was really not what we were expecting. Starting with the check in where you are handed two dingy towels for the pool and are asked to return them there when you check out. I felt kind of insulted. You can exchange them for dry ones at the spa, but no one was ever there, and when they finally were, they were always out of clean towels. The hotel was not even full. The supposed hot springs were not hot at all, maybe a tad lukewarm, and that was in the "hotes... Read more

First off, the staff has been fantastic! Stephanie at the front desk in the lobby has been more than helpful. From our check-in to our excursions to helping us book spa treatments at the resort and dinner reservations in town, she has done it all and answered all of our questions. Thank you Stephanie!!! Second, the grounds are beautiful. The pool has a swim up bar, the hot springs are tucked away in a private area and there is a really cool trail that leads into a secondary rain forest. It's g... My stay here was great. I enjoyed the people and the tours. We stayed in the suites facing the volcano in hopes of a better view, but didn't get to see her. However, we did get to hear her rumble, which was very satisfying. The restaurant was quite pricey, but still good. This is my second time out here at this specific location and I continue to come back each year. I love it!!

Stayed here with my wife for 2 days. The room was very confortable, it has a dehumidifier, air conditioner. It was close to a lake, the view of the Arenal Volcano was marvelous. The food was delicious and tasty. I was told that the hot springs are not natural, but even so you can enjoy a great experience at the pools. The managers are paying attention to all the recommendations posted in social networks, Most of the problems I found posted here in TripAdvisor have been solved so far.

I spent 5 days here with my new wife. We were blown away! This was my wife's and my favorite spot during our whole honeymoon in Costa Rica‚??gorgeous, clean, and free from the tourist rush. We stayed in a Superior Bungalow, and we had a view of Mt. Arenal out of one side and of the valley from the rear balcony, where we watched parrots every day. The room was clean and had everything we needed, including A/C when we'd return from our adventures. The resort campus is gorgeous. You are always in... Read more

The view of the volcano was epic, the location perfect for so many activities, and the treatment we received from staff was outstanding. The grounds of the resort were spotless. Very clean, and kept neat. Our room was the same ‚?? clean, no mold or musty air, and the AC worked well. In addition, the views from our room were amazing. What an amazing place. Very affordable, great location very close to La Fortuna and great views of the volcano. The room was beautiful and was cleaned up everyday. The pool and pool area were amazing and the thermal pools were incredible. Restaurant was ok but Little too pricey. Overall We had an awesome time with our 2 children (3 & 9). We stayed in an awesome bungalow, very cute. Pool and hot springs pools are fantastic with amazing tropical landscaping. View of Arenal volcano can't be beat. Close to activities and La Fortuna. Would stay here again, good food too! We went to the hanging bridges, kayaking around the volcano and to town. Also had a great night hanging in the pool area.

I stayed here with students. This hotel was separated into bungalows, which kept things nice and quiet. Although there were some ants in my room, the room itself was very nice and clean. There are porches off the front of the room, so you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning while admiring the spectacular view of the volcano! I went with my sister on the last days of June, to enjoy some rest and relaxation away from the office. The staff was always very kind and proactive to help. They fixed the sofa bed in our Garden Suite, so that my sister and I slept comfortably each in a separate room. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are great. The Spa is excellent; our masseuses, Raquel, Elvira and Liliana, the spa receptionist, were amazing. We went for the hot stones massage and it was incredibly relaxing. A ... Read more

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had 5 people and 2 cabins, and got a great deal. The resort was clean, and the staff was very polite and helpful. We were in the standard cabins that were towards the road. Both of the cabins could have used new roofs and other maintenance. However, there were no leaks while it rained and nothing really to complain about. I think most of the other groups of cabins had already been upgraded. We came to this resort after staying more than a week in the open rainforest at Finca Exotica and Danta Corcovado, and we were terribly disappointed. My husband and I booked four nights and only stayed one. We arrived late in the evening and had an overpriced, disappointing dinner at the restaurant (locals trying to cook foreign food, rather than embracing the excellent native cuisine), spent the night, and left the next afternoon to go to Turrialba. We had some ups and downs at Montana de Fuego this year. I travel with a big group (50), and in the past, they have always provided a room for our bus driver without me even asking. This year they did not, and they were full! To their credit, they did have one room for one night and comped it, but I had to give up my room the next night so that he could have a good night's sleep before driving us to our next location the next morning. I just read another review where a room was robbed by 2 people claiming to need to "check the windows". My group of 15 had 5 rooms for two nights. The first evening while we were at dinner at the hotel's restaurant, two rooms were broken into via the back patio/balcony doors. Cash and a GoPro camera were stolen from bookbags. Prior to this happening, we attempted to utilize the small safes in the rooms, but they are keyed safes and no keys were provided. Instructions for use of the safes were ... Read more

They have a wonderful restaurant where we had a delicious breakfast everyday , an adventure park where we zip lined and did repelling , volcanic mud bath which made our skin so soft , hot springs , a great pool and very comfortable and clean bungalows, what more can you ask for? The hotel lacks of decent restaurants, atm and a shuttle bus that runs a least every few hours. My husband and I had several of the spa treatments.
