Great service - some of the staff speak English, and will help with making phone calls and booking bus transportation. Our room had almost everything we wanted, including microwave, toaster/oven, and drinking water (one 20 l. jug was provided). Great location - in tower 2 on the 11th floor. All rooms in this tower have ocean view, with large covered balconies that have shade for most of the day. The pool facilities, hot tubs, grounds and restaurants are also very good. Restaurants are more expen... Read more

This is a great place if you want to go to Colombia, specially Santa Marta. The things that make the resort great are; -great attitude of staff -nice facility What is frustrating is; -the gym has really weird hours...(it's about them, not me as a guest) it is closed most of the day. Open in the morning and evening only..really weird! -internet is so bad it is a joke, yet the advertise it! You can get WiFi near the front desk..and only sometimes.

I paid my reservation in advanced through Expedia but the hotel said they never received it. I was perplexed. I had to pay again after 3 hours of haggling with the staff. It was embarrassing. I also requested a ocean view but I got a kiddie pool view. When ordering a cheeseburger and fries it took me 2 hours to get it while my wife received her food and was done eating her dessert when I received mine. The resort is nice but the service was not efficient. They need a workflow consultant... Read more

We stayed for 2 nights with some friends, nobody speaks english, they have no clue about good service, we arrived at 10:40pm super hungry and everything in the hotel closes at 11pm so forget about food, drinks or anything after that hour. The next day we went to the bar in the hotel at 10 and they told us it will close in 15 minutes (even though it says it closes at 11pm), it seems they are just lazy and want to close everything as early as possible. The rooms were falling apart, we had a room i... Read more

getaroom dropped the ball and messed up my already paid in advance reservation, 1st they wouldn't let me into the property because no one had my name anywhere, after showing the security person my cell phone displaying the information and paid confirmed reservation, he called different people and finally let me drive into the property. When I tried to check in they told me that they never got anything with my information at all. After I showed them my emails and credit card bank info, and Trip... Read more

Food and beverage choices are limited compared to other resorts of this size and quality. WiFi throughout the common areas is so bad that I had to use the hotspot on my phone. Complete lack of internet connectivity in the rooms despite a WiFi connection. This is a show-stopper for me. Seriously? Guard your food in the main restaurant if you are outside - they have a menacing bird problem. Very aggressive birds - and a lot of them - will take food right off your plate.

Kids loved it as the pools are fantastic and video games decent. Breakfast are great but 5 stars in Colombia is not the same as other countries 5 stars. Ordered one meal there in 5 days and it was very average. Everything there is over priced. There is a mall 10 mind walk where you can get plenty food and drink at competitive prices. If you misplace your pool beach towel you are charged 96000 pesos Ă nd our towels were taken twice so we had to grab some dirty ones to return from the towel bin. T... Read more

Stayed for two nights in the hotel and booked a double room only with breakfast included. The rooms are spatious and clean. The view from the balcony is quite nice as you see the entire resort and the sea and can catch amazing sunsets from that point. Breakfast was really good. Included a variety of dishes both local and international. Nice fruit section! I did not like the fact that the wifi is barely working if you are not near the reception, neither at the pool, restaurant, rooms or beach! F... Read more

Zuana Beach resort is a very good hotel located very close to the airport and to "El Rodadero" area. Not so close to downtown Santa Marta. From the airport to the hotel is a 10 minutes ride and the cost is between 15k and 20k pesos. Once you arrive to the hotel there are two gates, the old and the new one. Your gate will depend on the room that was assigned to you and there is a guard in the first one (old) that will let you know which is your entrance. The check in is a little bit slow but n...
