The rooms are excellent, brand new, nice TV and excellent shower, very hot water!!! Wonderful!!! Breakfast is excellent from eggs to cereals, sandwiches to pancakes, you name it and they have it. I`ll stay there again if I ever go back to Bogota.

My sister and I stayed here two weeks ago. We loved it, the hotel staff was very helpful, and a tad overprotective of us (in a good way) because we were two women in our early 20s traveling alone. Not too many "young" people say here, but the hotel is very modern and comfortable with a flare for the eccentric decor. It's not very close to the center of the city but it is in one of the safest neighborhoods in Bogotá. It's right next to "Zona G" which Bogotá's high-end gastronomic area. The res... Read more

Stayed here two nights while looking for a different vibe from that of la Candelaria. The hotel itself is great, and is located on the Main Street in town "La Septima" so getting around isn't bad. The gay district is a few short blocks away, and some fabulous upscale restaurants are just up the hill. It's not a real exciting pet of town, but if you want a cheap, quiet, nice home base from which to explore - choose Matisse Hotel.

This hotel is advertised as being located in the G zone of town, but is actually a 10 minute walk from it. If you will be going out at night, it is not safe to walk back to the hotel and you'll need to take a cab. However, the room has nothing to envy big hotels, and personnel is very kind. I gave it 4 stars because of the location and because there was an issue with having hot water in my room that took longer than it should to have it solved. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend... Read more

After an 18 hour flight we arrived in Bogotá's Matisse hotel at around 10 p.m., to find out that, despite our reservation, the hotel was full. Another guest fell sick and wasn't able to check-out. We understood the situation- this can happen. The hotel then offered to transfer us for one night to a nearby hotel of the same category returning to Matisse for the second night of our stay. BUT: surprisingly we've been urged to pay this 2 nights "in advance", on the spot. (Who on earth would pay in... Read more
