We arrived in Bogotá and got a taxi straight to Hotel Muisca for about £8, it is situated in the historic and beautiful 'La Candelaria' district just up the hill from Plaza de Bolivar. Unfortunately, we must have picked up flu on the way to Colombia and we were sick for the five days we spent in Bogotá - despite being very ill we still had a lovely stay - the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating and our room was kept spotlessly clean. We would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Muisca ... Read more

Helpful and pleasant small Hotel on the edge of Candelaria. Arranged taxi pick-up from the airport and delivery to Hotel at 3:45 am, all went smoothly. Small but clean compact room, ideal for one. Staff friendly and helpful. It is at the end of a steep hill.

On top of calle 10 With a steep descent Down to Plaza Bolivar. Good location. Quiet neighbourarea and the street Down to town was watched by many policenen on the corners. The hotel has a muisca museum profile. Nice setting. Nice top balcony with good views of town and a small bar. Rooms clean With good wifi. No a/c. Very small rooms. On the downside: very disturbing noisy ventilation turned on and off in the hotel all evening and night. Would not make a small sandwich or breakfast pack when ear... Read more

I stayed at the hotel for two nights with a friend of mine and I was extremely pleased of our choice. The hotel was cosy and very comfortable. There is a very nice terrace and two breakfast areas in style. Rooms are a bit small, but clean and well-furnished. Breakfast was freshly cooked every day, with your choice of eggs, arepas or bread and jam, cereals and fruit. The hotel is within easy reach of all the sights and museums in La Candelaria. The only problem is that it is on a steep street uph... Read more

It started with the price, when I booked my reservation I called to make sure everything was in order, I asked if the price shown to me was final and they said yes, when I arrived the charged me a 16% tax that was supposed to be included. When I asked for my room they told me that the check in was at 3pm, I said how is this possible? Their answer was "every hotel has that check in time", but they were unlucky enough to speak with someone who travels a lot, so that's a lie, finally they charged m... Read more

We stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is up a steep street so be prepared. Once you do it a few times it doesn't seem so bad. We had room 14 which was up 2 floors with no lift. There was a spiral staircase to our room which made it a little hard with luggage. But there was someone to help us. The room was a nice size with a big shower that had good water pressure and hot water. The only problem was that the area outside the big windows was used for linen storage and housekeepin... This is one of the most charming hotels we have ever stayed in! The good: AWESOME service! Delicious breakfast and coffee. Good wifi. It is within walking distance of everything. The bad: If you have issues walking - it is located on a steep hill. I fell the first day, 2 doors down, but I do tend to trip on air... Although we are both otherwise very much walkers, my husband has sciatica that flares up occasionally, and we did have to opt for taxis to return a couple of times. Taxis are inexpen... Read more

Very helpful and friendly staf, even before arrival helpful with organizing taxi service from the airport. We stayed for 5 days in a 4 person family room (upstairs) with our 2 teenage daughters, which was perfect for our cultural quests of the great city of Bogota. To bad the wifi connection was insufficient in our room. The hotel is situated in the colorful old neighborhood ‚??Candelaria‚?? near the historic center. A 10 minute walk downhill to the plaza Bolivar with the Cathedral and the Presi... Read more

Nice, well located hotel with big cozy rooms. Loved The decor, that told the stories of The muiscas, original people from that area. It has a great solarium, perfect for beer and wine at The sunset! Close to restaurants, but not a good option for elderly or people with lomocotion limitations.
