Stayed for our first 3 nights on our first trip to Colombia. A friend had highly recommended the place. We had booked the top grade room, off a quiet garden at back of hotel. It WAS very quiet, until the early morning dogs get going, not he hotel's fault. Room was big, nice hot shower and bathroom. Breakfast was table service, adequate just. You could buy the same outside for $6-8000 so it just felt a bit overpriced for $250000 per night. Staff were friendly but veru little English so not able t... Read more

I was very happy about my stay at Abadía Colonial. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and my bed very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. The building itself is beautiful and provides you with a nice patio. The views from the breakfast room is lovely, and there is a cozy restaurant if you want to stay in for dinner.

I met my son, Todd, and we stayed for 3 days. Wonderful stay, convenient to city center museums, etc.; taxi and bus friendly. The staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast was a delightful: juice, coffee, fresh fruit, breads, eggs served with a smile. Thanks for the memories!

I thought the place really good value and would have happily awarded 5* at that stage. But we returned for a second stay and this time the atmosphere was very different. There seemed to be a high turnover of staff, so the remaining staff were stressed. The owner was around and clearly intimidat... Read more
