We stayed for just two nights but the room was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate. The bathroom feels very open when you first enter the room but can be shut away by closing the big sliding doors. The breakfast and dinner buffet was very good with lots of choice and helpful staff. The hotel provided a birthday cake for my husband as a surprise to us which was delicious. Good location within walking distance of the city walls.

The location of this hotel is quite central, and I think it is the most to the central of Xi'an compared to all other Starwoods properties in the city. The staff are very nice, they were friendly and proactively gave advice for attractions etc. The ensuite shower and tub facilities were just amazing and comfortable, helping tourists and business travellers relax after a long day of exploring and work! One thing is that some staff assumed that all Asian looking people could speak Mandarin, whic... Read more

Xi'an Sheraton is conveniently located with a friendly staff. I had only one problem: After checking into the room, I quickly discovered there was a Wi-fi connection problem. I called the front desk and they even offered to send people up to help out with my internet connection. When they finally realized it was a room-specific Wi-Fi problem, they offered to change the room. It took them 1 hour and 30 minutes to figure out a new room. It was after 11 p.m. when I finally got to my new room ... Read more

The hotel is located right in the city, and parking is easy. Staffs are friendly. Rooms are typical 5 start hotel room, nothing spectacular. Close to many eateries and shopping mall. Breakfast is, however, consider bad for the standard of a 5 star hotel. Limited choices, and cooking isn't that great.

Couldn't fault this hotel - staff were wonderful and the food choice was excellent. Breakfasts were especially good with a wide choice which must have included something for even the most fussy palate. Our room was huge and spotlessly clean and very modern with every facility. Definitely lives up to its 5 star rating.

Xian is a vast city of complex interconnecting roads and high rise apartments. The city is well located for visiting the site of the Terracotta Warriors. The hotel is full of contradictions. In part, it has finely designed elements, using beautiful and expensive materials, but throughout dark brown is the dominant colour creating a sombre mood within the hotel. The bedroom are spacious but with the relatively small windows and dark brown interiors, the sombre mood is pervasive. If brown is your ... Read more

The location is good, very convenient to the city center, shopping malls, restaurants and a cinema around this hotel. The room is good, like other Starwood hotels in urban area. The room is big enough but with small window and poor view, very poor. Most business hotels need swiping card when enter into the elevator. I like this even though sometimes the card is not sensitive enough. ^ ^ The lobby manager is very kind to help us on some problems. But I think the receptionists are so practiced. Th... Read more

The hotel is very conveniently located above the metro station. This means if you travel into Xi'an by high speed rail, you can easily reach it. In the night, there is a part of the road opposite the hotel that is closed off. This is where you can get to taste authentic Xi'an cuisine. Not for the faint hearted though, but food was great. We got a free upgrade. The room we were given was potentially the biggest room we had in China. It's very clean and well equipped. Breakfast was served on t... Read more

The hotel is in a vibrant area of the city. Not expecting much I was pleasantly surprised. The only drawback is that apparently in in China you must wear a bathing cap while swimming. The hotel wanted to charge me 30RMB. I found that too pricey . The web site stated nothing about this. I was disappointed as I was looking forward to a swim while my to kids were in the fitness centre. Left with nothing to do I trudged back to my room. As previously mentioned the hotel is in a vibrant section of t... Read more

The good : Well priced (room rates) compared to other 5 star hotels. Right next to subway The bad: -Bad smell in the room - I gave an address in English and the hotel gave instructions to the taxi driver. Ended up at the other side of the city as the hotel gave a completely wrong address to the driver. Took an hour to get back. - Hotel looks a bit old, brown and without too much light. - Wifi switches off automatically when your device turns off (OK with a laptop, really annoying with you... It has been many years since we had stayed in a Sheraton property. We were very supprised to find out how nice this hotel was. It is well located. The rooms were very comfortable with plenty of room. I would say the western style food was ok. We are not into the Chinsee food, but I am sure it was very good.

The location is great. Right next to the subway and close to some delicious small restaurants. After a lot of traveling, it was a treat to have a wonderful big bathroom! The shower was delightful. The service was great including the laundry service. Definitely recommend this hotel and we will stay again if in Xian.

Stayed 2 nights, Aug 28,29,post Viking river cruise. Front lobby was very spacious and modern and bright. Lobby staff were very helpful and courteous. Room was very spacious with a coffee/tea maker but the carpet looked quite stained and could do with a good shampooing. The room lights were almost like mood lighting, a little dark and the light buttons confusing in the shadow. Large bathroom with stand alone deep tub and large tiled shower and had a good selection of toiletries. The in room sa... Read more

I‚??m a SPG member reason why each time I travel I stay in SPG Hotels. Concerning this hotel, I can say that was a very good surprise for me. Good staff, big rooms and excellent breakfast. The best place to stay for people that wishes to visit the Terracotta Warriors. Good support from the concierge that organize my private tour to Terracotta Warrior Museum and do it in the summer in a private car with a private guide was a very good experience. Stayed on redemption. I would say excellent value for the points required. Place looks grand and well maintained. Did not have the opportunity to try the SPA but the menu shows great value and there is currently a promo going on. The welcome fruit platter consists of 3 fruits but they are fresh with no bruising which I think is rare. Only blemish was that the toilet choked up. Fortunately it was towards the end of the stay and I only mentioned it on check-out.

I stayed here in September 2016 - my second time. This is a great value Sheraton, very conveniently located right next to a subway station on Line 2 of the Xian metro. Staff are unfailingly courteous, and the place is very clean and attractive. If you are SPG plat or have club level access, the evening and morning lounge meals are excellent variety and good quality. Very good value for rates around $100 per night. Will stay again if ever in the city again.

This is a nice hotel- clean, comfortable and nice staff. We found this hotel a little over priced , especially for basics like food, water, beverages etc....but I suppose you may be paying for the brand. Close to the train station, and North gate.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights as part of an organised 13 night holiday. It was clean and all staff were very polite and spoke English well. The room was lovely and overlooked the city. We were able to look around and shops which were open quite late. However we did not find any outside space to sit in at or near the hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located next to a metro station, where you can take the #2 line to most of the tourist attractions within the city. There is also a bus station down the block, where several local buses will take you to the rail station, and from there you can take the tourist line#5 bus to the Terracotta army and Huaqing palace. The staff is friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Our room is clean and spacious. Some ppl complain of the décor being dark/dingy but I didn't find it s... Read more

We stayed here as part of a tour of China. The hotel was very nice and our room beautiful. The very large bathroom had sliding panels that opened it up to the room, but as in most of the hotels we stayed at in China, the bathroom lighting was quite dim. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff pleasant. All in all, a very nice hotel.

Just north of the North Gate of the old city, the hotel is a modern western style hotel. Check in went smoothly and our room was clean and reasonably comfortable. The breakfast buffet included many Asian choices but I could find adequate Western items.

I enjoyed a four night stay in room 1531, which was large, comfortable, well furnished and very clean. The staff from the front desk to the bell desk to the executive lounge were all interested in making my stay the best it could be. There is a Metro station next to the hotel, Long Shou Yuan (exit B), which made it easy to navigate around the city and get over to the Train Station to catch the Tourist bus #5 (aka 306) to the Terracota Warriors Museum. Not too far from the Walled city, need to be able to walk a distance to see this though. The walk gives an insight into the local area. The traffic is busy as usual and skill and confidence needed to cross the roads. The hotel is clean and modern with polite and helpful staff. The food is very good in the restaurant for breakfast and evening meal. We had the buffet evening meal.

I arrived at the hotel at 15 minutes after midnight after travelling London to Dubai to Beijing to Xi'An. A trip of over 30 hours of travel. Upon my arrival I was told: 1. I was being given a room with twin beds. I explained that was not what was booked, not what my credit card guarantee was given for and not what I was paying for since mid afternoon. 2. I was told that the hotel was very busy. This was not my problem as you had taken my booking and confirmed it. 3. I was then told that my roo... Read more

The only reason I don't give a 5-star rating is I think the Westin in Osaka is abetter hotel, but it is a 4.5 star effort. Sheraton Xi'an North City Hotel is a very good hotel, I can't find anything wrong. The position is excellent, quiet and convenient, just 3 metro stops from the Bell Tower station. The hotel is next to Xi'an Metro Long Shou Yuan station. Few stations to reach most of attractions in Xi'an city especially the new Line 3 is just opened in November 2016. We travelled by train from Beijing to Xi'an North station. The hotel is easy to reach by Line 2 subway and the exit from subway is right next to the hotel. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had no problems in the room - it wasn't too hot (compared to other hotels have stayed in at this time of year in China), had all needed. We ate one night in the restaurant which was fine.
