My husband and I spent one night at this hotel and were very pleased with both the free airport shuttle service and our very nice and well priced hotel room. The hotel‚??s main floor restaurant provided good food, but it was expensive.

This is actually a good looking fairly new hotel, with very well equipped rooms. But it's a major fail when it comes to two of the most important points for staying in a hotel: Sleep quality and food. It seems like they subscribe to the old Russian way of heating or cooling remote villages. In the winter period the heating is on max, and in the summer its air conditioning only. There are set changeover dates for this regardless of the weather. Now imagine you stay there at the end of the "winte... Read more

I stayed here for one night for a layover night and it was awesome. I paid 48 for a taxi ride there which I think was cheap and everyone at the hotel was really nice and helpful. So nice when you're exhausted from a 13 hour flight!

I accidentally made my reservation at the wrong hotel. The front desk person did her best to try and help me. She called the other qube but alas I was too exhausted after a 15 hour flight, lost luggage and negotiating the metro and rain that I agreed just to pay again to stay here. She was kind enough to offer me a decent rate and give me an Upgraded room on the 16th floor. Lots of construction in the area including a new starbucks in the lobby. This hotel is located near the airport as well as near the Shanghai medical University. So it is excellent if you have a business trip for University or airport, but it is not recommended if you are here as a tourist. Rooms are big, closets are walk-in type, the bathrooms are also big and well equipped. The tub offers a view of the mountains, depending which side of the hotel you are. Breakfast buffet is not bad for a typical Chinese hotel it offers Western cuisine. Communication is a challenge with the staff as there are few who can speak English.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We took the metro from the airport which was very easy. When you take the metro and walk out of the station just look for McDonald's golden arches. The hotel is right next door to McDonald's. We arrived about 10 in the morning. They said that they had a room available with 2 beds, but if we wanted to wait we could get a room with 1 bed in about 1 hour. We decided to wait. Warmly welcomed and very generously upgraded to a club room. Room was a good size, etc but wasn't particularly clean. In fact most of the hotel looked very rushed. The hotel is very well located, very near to the subway station leading to the airport. Staff is friendly and helpful. First received a non smoking room that heavily smelled like the previous guest was smoking in the room. Then received a room with ripped carpet and defective walls. It's a considerable distance from the city (approx ¥130 in a taxi from the central station) but makes it far easier to get to the airport. This hotel is about 15 minutes taxi ride from Pudong Airport. The rooms are good size and very clean. Beds are very comfortable. The only thing we were not comfortable with was the big window between the bathroom and bedroom. There is a screen you can pull down but you can still see into the bathroom. The overall experience was nice but the room temperature could not be changed as per our requirement and it was really difficult to make the staff understand this. The reasoning given to us was that the room was sun facing hence it was hotter than other rooms, eventually we were given a different room which was not sun facing and much cooler. But this is unacceptable for such a big hotel to not have AC working properly.
