The hotel is rather new and it is very fresh. Great rooms and very comfortable beds. The lounge is very nice with a view of the surrounding areas. Good choice of snacks there. Breakfast is huge and a lot of both local and international choices. Very nice staff all the way through. Will be back definitely..

We booked at the Renaissance because it's location was relatively close to the exhibition center and they offer transfers to the exhibition. Book early for the transfer as it fills up fast. The rooms are adequate and clean. However our room was not cleaned the first two days as we found a note under the door before 9am stating they were unable to clean our room. The breakfast is average, not worth the price. The health club facilities are good. Most of the staff spoke very little English and c... Read more

I have stayed in this hotel in the last 18 months and really like it. The staff are courteous and very helpful (and trying to be even more helpful). The lounge is quiet and nicely decorated. The drinks and foods during the happy hour in the Executive Lounge are hard to beat. Although the location is a bit far from the downtown CBDs, but the metro is super convenient and takes you there in 15-30 minutes, depending on where you want to go. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality hotel.

Second stay with the hotel. Rooms are fully equipped and well kepted. Breakfast spread is good. A little off the city centre but the comfort more than makes up for it. Note that it is impossible to take the subway during peak hours into city.

Stayed here for few days and was extremely satisfied. Hotel is directly on Metro so you can go to the metro directly from the lobby. Location was also convenient. As a MR Plat got upgraded to a nice spacious suite which i really liked. Breakfast was extraordinary and in concierge lounge was nearly the same selection so no need to go to the restaurant. Concierge lounge is nice and spacy and quiet with a terrace. Got good tips from the staff where to go to and how to go when wanted to celebrate my... Read more

The hotel is relatively new and has all of the amenities. Rooms are large, well apointed and bathrooms complete and spotless. It is located right above a metro station so the whole city is accessible. For new travelers to China, fear not; the signs, ticket kiosks and train cars all have English directions, so do give it try. You will use it repeatedly. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and has both western and eastern/local cuisine. I only wish they had a tutorial in how to eat the Asian dishes. ... Read more

Very nice hotel. 4 star + Good breakfast. Can take the elevator downstairs to the mall and metro station. Not too close to downtown Shanghai so if you want to be downtown, this is not the place. I take the metro everywhere so this hotel was great for me.

We spent two nights here. The room with two beds was very good and spacious. Didn't like the bathroom doors which were two big wooden doors which you had to roll to close. Noisy at night. Access difficult because of bad tub. Other than that was good. There is a shopping mall and train station under the hotel which was handy.

My husband and I had a shocking experience on our arrival to the Renaissance Putuo. Checking in was fine, the lady was very friendly. That evening we wanted to go out for some food, we were very tired and not feeling to great due to being on the bullet train for 5 hours. The concierge recommended a few places within walking distance and showed us the root, as we left the building it was pouring with rain and we took a wrong turn so we went back to the hotel. We then asked for a cab, which they... Read more

My 4th time staying in this hotel. Always been very happy with the rooms and location. The fact that it is directly connected to Langao Station on Line 7 via underground mall link makes this place ultra convenient in rain or shine. And for 308rmb one can have the most superb Japanese all you can eat a la carte spread at the Yuzu restaurant. However my memorable stay was ruined by a burly man trying to yanked me out of a taxi which the doorman had hailed. Saying that only the hotel transport ca... Read more

I have been staying at this property in Shanghai for 5 years and on average stay 7 times a year for 2 weeks at a time. I love this hotel. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Free Wifi everywhere, The breakfast buffet is a treat and the service is superb. From the minute I enter I feel I am in my second home. Be sure to pay a little more for a Club Floor as the quiet relaxation of the Renaissance Club is great to unwind or have a business meeting. It's on the west side so there is a little... Read more

This hotel is right next to two office towers where my customer was located. It is a good business hotel. In fact there's a Starbucks coffee just downstairs and also there's a shopping mall just next to the hotel. The hotel room is new though a little small compared to the counterparts at Pudong or The Bund. Definitely a good choice than to travel from the The Bund or Pudong if the customer' office is near the Putuo area.

We stayed here for two nights, as part of a Sinorama tour. Beautiful comfortable rooms, with all the facilities you need, including a fridge. There is a shopping centre and the underground, directly beneath the hotel, which is excellent for the independent traveller. If you have a sweet tooth, then you find a breakfast to die for, with many kinds of breads and pastries.Good for the lips, but not for the hips!!

It's really that case, when you can see they had thought about everything here. Very clean spacious rooms, power plugs at correct places and not in most far corner like it happens in some china hotels, really good and tasty room service, perfect english speaking staff. But the greatest asset still is a location - not just near metro station, it is literally ON a station, connected to Langao road metro station not just via tunnel from B1 - but it's a shopping mall down there which leads to metro ... But this hotel is located right above a Metro station, it is still very easy to travel to anywhere without paying high fee of the hotel around People's square.

Have been in the middle of November with 9y boy. Everything was really good. As for me lounge bar a little bit expensive. Gym is excellent and a swimming pool too. Sauna is not very hot. Inside the hotel there is New dynasty restaurant where we have tasted one of the best Pekin roasted duck!
