Well run, quiet, clean property, has a well equipped gym and nice folks; about 10 minute walk to metro station, and inexpensive neighborhood restaurants around. It's decent place to stay in Pudong at a reasonable price. By the way, it's a very long walk from here to the new Expo.

The Renaissance Shanghai Pudong has been my hotel of choice since it opened circa 2006 0r 7, don't recall exactly, but from the first it was a great experience. The hotel has undergone a couple of renovations, but has gotten somewhat tired. That not withstanding, the staff are competent, friendly and responsive. I once had a medical problem, the manager sent an English speaking bellman with me in a cab to one of Shanghai's better hospitals, he remained with me during my short stay and procedu... Read more

Excellent location of hotel. Staff was very good. Wide spread of breakfast. Very clean and truly five star. Amenities were amazing. Guests can avail the facility of taxi booking any time with the hotel's navigator staff. Price is at beat higher side but worth for the comfort and stay. Evening lounge option is amazing . One advise is that laundry is hotel is very costly but there are little cheap option available around the hotel.

Very specious rooms, excellent service. First class breakfast, so make sure to get it in your package. Very close to the AP Market (10 minutes walk ). Drinks and food reasonably priced. Be aware that the Sister's Bar across the street is twice as expensive if it comes to alcoholic drinks. If you are a smoker you can smoke at the Bar. I will definitely stay there again.

Stayed one night on arrival in Shanghai, and another night just before departure from Shanghai about five days later. The staff are very friendly, tried to do as much as they could for you. Check-in and checkout were both quite efficient. The one negative was the fact of having to get into the room was difficult with the key. I think sometimes it depended on how lucky you were. Would definitely stay there again

I stayed one night in the Renaissance Pudong hotel on a recent trip to China. The staff was very helpful and even walked me over to the exchange machine and helped me thru the transaction so I could pay the taxi driver from the airport. The breakfast buffet was great. Not too crowded or noisy. The food was excellent and a big selection. The room was big and clean with extra towels. I stayed in this hotel for almost a week in May 2016. The staff is helpful, rooms are excellent and precious. You feel comfortable with elegant look of the room. Housekeeping is also good. Breakfast has lot of varieties, but for vegetarian, not much. The location is strategically located in Pudong area and connectivity is also good.

Stayed here for three nights on business, 25th floor which is the club lounge level. The entire staff has great service, from the concierge desk, checkin counter, and the house keeping. They are friendly and decent English. The staff member Levis on the 26th floor is exceptional. He remembered us every day, kept everything very neat and tidy, and the service was phenomenal. The staff makes a hotel. There are fancier hotels in Shanghai, bigger rooms, cheaper, but when I choose my hotel, I decide on which hotel makes me feel I'm being well treated. This Renaissance in Pudong, just north of Century Park, is absolutely my pick whenever I go to Shanghai, and I go there often. Location: 1st, is the location. It is 2 block walk from Big Thumb Plaza for dining, 4 blocks walking to better food at Kerry Parkside. A 3 km taxi ride from the Maglev Station. Always fun on a... Read more

I was in Shanghai for the CES Asia show. This hotel is very nice. I stayed on the Executive floor and the Executive lounge is very nice. I enjoyed quiet breakfast reading the paper, as opposed to the large loud dining room. The staff is very helpful and friendly. English is pretty good with most of the staff. Nice job around Century Park, I recommend it.

This is a good place to stay wen doing business in the Pudong area. The rooms are large and comfortable, the personnel is pleasant, and as it turns out they were showing all the Euro 2016 games at the lounge. Other points, internet is good, and apparently provides access to just about all sites including google, etc. I recommend this hotel.

Well appointed rooms, in this hotel, a fabulous buffet and an awesome members lounge crew. Of particular note Levis was absolutely fantastic in delivering service and being attention to making guests welcome and attending to their needs. The hotel a little out from CBD but good for business and close to the international convention center and metro. Pool and gym of excellent standard. You will need to ensure you order uber or taxi's to go short distances.

The Executive Lounge at the Renaissance Pudong is a tranquil island in the sea of Shanghai. Levis and his staff do a wonderful job of catering to your every need. Nothing is a burden. On a business trip schedules often change and the days can be long. At the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong I always have a relaxing, friendly place to return to. The staff are focused on personal service and go out of their way to help with transportation and hotel reservations or any other business need that may present itself. Over the years I have gotten to know many of the staff and I always look forward to return to such a comfortable, friendly and competent environment. See you again soon when... Read more

I have been staying at this hotel many times per year on business travel for almost the past decade. I prefer staying at this hotel due to their exceptional service and outstanding Executive Lounge. It is conveniently close to the Pudong industrial parks. Century Park is around the corner to go jogging. The staff is always extraordinarily friendly and helpful.

Chose this hotel during my stopover in Shanghai before heading to Beijing. I'd really like to commend the staff for their attentiveness and hospitality. They made my short trip here a very comfortable and memorable one. Loved the pool for lounging, and especially the hotel's close vicinity to the Maglev train station.

My stay at your property was awesome! The club lounge was amazing...Levis always knew I drank cappuccino and Coco and Maggie were always very kind and helpful as well. We were actually planning on switching hotels halfway through the week but stayed because of how nice everyone was. Thank you for making the stay so nice and welcoming.

This is my 4th time living in this hotel. Each time the front desk Zoe Guo helped me a lot, solving reservation problems, changing room which I was not satisfied....Thanks a lot for her kindly help. Meanwhile, I'd like to express my big appreciate to the executive lounge Ziva and Vicki, you made me feel like home. Thanks again, and I will be back. Best Regards Bo

Great experience, it was my second time in the hotel, and this time I stayed for almost a week. The staff is always very courteous and professional. They greeted me by name each morning in the club lounge. I felt very at home there. My one feedback is that the club lounge was always very hot in the mornings, maybe due to the heated food?

The Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel continues to be one of my favorite places to stay when in Shanghai. The experience is consistent every time. The staff is attentive to details, rooms are well maintained and the facility is close to local transportation and a wide variety of international dining options and shopping. If you are of elite status the Executive Lounge is a great place to relax from the day! This hotel is always the first I check for availability before traveling to the area.

I have to recognize that I wasn't fully convinced about the hotel since it was far away of the bund and other areas. Actually the hotel is a typical Renaissance one, the staff (with the exception of the concierge--called navigator?-- )were so polite and enthusiastic that in fact it compensates for the bad food in the restaurants... That's probably the real minus, usually the restaurants are very good, not in this one. Location wise is 15min or so from the metro station, so it is convenient, str... Read more

Room was spacious. Nothing to fault really. The wide bed was comfy. Bathroom was with bathtub and separate shower. One of the thing I noticed was no matter how long you had a hot shower or sink yourself into a hot tub, there was no vapor on the mirror in this cool room. May be it was the ventilation, but you practically didn't feel it working at all, neither from the sound it made nor the feeling of cool air coming into the bathroom which was awesome. The breakfast tasted great with a lot of ch... Read more
