Location is good, rooms are ok with average service, very poor wifi in room, complimentary breakfast is average. There is a massage parlor within 200 meters which is traditional but too good at service.

Good clean rooms, Some have a balcony, and Nice soft beds, just like we have them in europe, you don' t see that too often in China .breakfast is very bad: toast, eggs and jam, the rest is Chinese stuff that we don' t like to eat in the morning.... WiFi is not good, very bad signal.

Good clean rooms, very close to Dapuqiao metro line. 10 minute walk to the old French Concession and 15 minutes to West Nanjing Road. Would definitely recommend. Check bookings.com for current specials

Spent three days here and it was was more than acceptable. Clearly this hotel was once a 4 or 5 star hotel which has been over taken by the latest builds and, although showing signs of its age, the benefits of that former glory are still there to be used. We were on the 35th floor with a large balcony, good view(for this part of town) great beds, air con was perfect. Room clean with all the expected add ons (fridge, safe, coffee service (although in china this is a green tea service) large flat scr... Read more

I booked this hotel as it was close to a friends location and must say I was not disappointed, I personally have a nice clean room and find the location ideal to be able to get anywhere in the city. The hotel room provided towels and soap and shower gels toothbrush and paste also bottled water in the room all at no extra cost. I recommend anyone coming to Shanghai getting a travel card when here, it can be topped up at metro stations but is usable on boats, taxi, metro and buses and to travel ... Read more

The location was quite convenient. Very close to 4th exit of Dapuqiao metro station on line 9. There are many eating places and several family marts in the food court at metro station and in adjoining SML center so nothing to worry about breakfast!!. Front office will try to help you the best. Specially the guy at front office who speaks English. May be the managers are not much helpful. Elevators carry people up to 37 floor are too narrow.

There was a long queue to check in, and only 2 counters were available for both check-in and check-out. Without clear signage or instructions, guests who are checking out just walked to the counter and demanded to check out immediately without queuing of course. Please note that this is not unusual in Shanghai, especially being a local hotel chain and a very local front desk. However, I did not expect to walk into a room of chaos, sheets remain unchanged with dirts, rubbish and cigarette buds on... Read more

1st visit 24 to 28 Apr 2016- The location of the property is the main highlight. Malls and local shopping street are at walking distances. Be prepared for a long waiting time during check in. ATM machine at reception was quite helpful in exchanging money. Room was at 17th floor, nice view, neat and enough space. Washroom was clean too. The breakfast was a huge letdown. I opted to have a quick breakfast at Mc'D across the road. During my second visit 29 - 30 Apr 2016, it was a shock to know that ... Read more

The hotel itself has seen better days, and is in need of a refurb - but this was reflected in the price. A six night stay set me back around £215 (but I could have had eight for the same price) through STA travel. No swimming pool as far as I could see, and had problems with aircon and room fridge on the first night. After being initially told an engineer would be sent up to fix it, I complained again when they didn't arrive and was upgraded to a nicer room with working cooling systems. Communi... Read more

This hotel has very bad wifi. They also have violated the privacy of our travelling group because they exchanged personal information of passports to one another. The communication is a weak point for sure. The room is very small. Toilet doesn't flush properly. Look at the wallpaper of this room. It is not so clean here. Furniture in the lobby is ugly and it smells bad. I didn't have breakfast yet. Rumour says that it is nothing special, but you can buy something in the mall next door. Advantage... Read more

So so so disappointed with this hotel. Upon arriving, an inexperienced and rude staff member told me she couldn't find my booking. She didn't try and help me or search for it- just said sorry bye. I then just stood there feeling rather dumbstruck and was wondering if the staff would have the decency to look into their computers to find out what had gone wrong as I had my confirmation email in front of me. as I tried to look for another staff member i noticed them avoiding eye contact - very perp... Upon arrive the hotel looks very modern, especially the outside of the building. But when checking into our hotel, I was invited to a small room with very little to offer. The tv was very static, we had to fix our own toilet every other flush. The shower was moldy. The pillows was very thin and uncomfortable. No extra pillows in he closet. It was nice to have a safe and convenient that it was by two subways, a McDonald's, and KFC. Wifi itself was very weak.

Decent room and service. Great city view at night. Convenient location. Close to Sun Moon Light center for lots of great food choices as well as metro station. Booked last year and this year again. Hotel is getting old.

The hotel staff was helpful and responsive when I reported my refrigerator was not working. Safe also not working and Heat/Air had not yet been turned on for the winter (so no heat for the room). The room was reasonably clean and cleaning staff was good. Breakfast had mostly Chinese offerings (well...we WERE in China after all)...but there were pastries, Toast and you could have a Fried Egg cooked for you. The location was fairly central in location which made it convenient for shopping for f... Read more

This hotel was a bit of a let down, the room had wall paper peeling off the walls, Being English speaking made it hard to check in as the person serving me knew as much English as I knew Chinese, I was fortunate enough to have a Chinese speaking person who was able to come and help the check in process. Another problem I had was when they tried to charge my room deposit to my credit card it would not work, for some reason they were trying to take cash, our company credit cards do not allow cash...
