The Hotel is situated in the very centre of Shanghai, all locations for the tourist are at most a 10 minute taxi ride away, or a short metro ride away. The hotel is quite iconic, being a 47 storey tower visible from around the city. As other reviewers have observed, it does have a dated feel to it. For example the rooms have mahogany furniture and panelling. That said, everything was in excellent condition and our room felt like it had been recently renovated. The bathrooms were more up to d... The Blu is a very nice hotel in an excellent location in Shanghai. If you are into high end shopping you'll be happy with its location. Also next to the major transportation hub. Staff were very nice, many speaking English. I would not hesitate recommending a stay at the Blu.

Rather older hotel, but in a good shape. Very good breakfast. The wifi is not the best, but there is cable internet that is good. Personnel is very friendly and their English is good enough. The location is extremly good, exactly on Nanjing Road - you just walk 20 minutes and get to see the Oriental Pearl.

Great location in the heart of Shanghai (so long as you are ok with ignoring the opportunities to follow men into side streets in search of the offered massage). Walking distance/easy commute to the Bund and historical European districts, as well as heavy duty (expensive) shopping on Nanjing Road. Hotel is more than comfortable, with great breakfast buffet. This is not an "experience China" hotel, but rather a comfortable base if you are working.

Centrally located in People square, walking distance to the bund on the bank of river Huangpu. This is the most connected station to all sides of shanghai, you can buy a card ticket with 50RMB refill and roam all over in metros for at least 5 days. Being a Vegetarian I had only breakfast here and needless to say I survived on bread, fruits and fried potato. Others had lot of choice, and one can enjoy the food. Rooms are good, it is better to have a room with river facing windows. You see sunrise... Read more

We stayed here for 6 nights and we were very happy with our choice. The location was great, right next to people's park, opposite the hop on hop off bus and a nice walk down to the bund. The elevators were efficient and we never had to wait long for or be squashed into one. We did have a room on the 32nd floor and two lifts only served the top floors which helped. The rooms were quiet, comfortable and well equipped with items replenished daily. We arrived just before lunch and had to wait an hou... Read more

Location; great location next to people's square and pedestrian Street. Quite a walk to the Bund but doable or you can take one of the small tourist pretend trains. The Big bus tours stop just across the road from the hotel. Staff; very pleasant. The Concierge was particularly knowledgeable and helpful. 10 out of 10. Food; didn't do breakfast and the menu was expensive for China. Enough restaurants to choose from. Rooms: this is where the disappointment starts. Large suite with separate sitting... Read more

I have never had a bad experience at the Radisson Blu Tomorrow Square. I was able to check in early to get to my event. The room was very clean and I received and upgrade for my frequent stays. I did not try the restaurant or sky dome, but I have in the past. The breakfast buffet is overprices as all are in China. The sky dome bar is usually relaxed and the band is not overpowering. The view from the top is great.

Excellent location. Right across the People's square metro station but sadly I did not feel I got the value for my money from my stay. The room seemed fine for couple of days but when I had to extend my stay in Shanghai for a week, I didn't want to extend at this place. The room was split in day/ bedroom concept. Overall lot of sq feet are used up but not roomy enough for extended stay. The dome bar and restaurant at 45th floor are hugely underutilized. The band in dome bar - well, I almost... Read more

The Radisson Blu in Shanghai's New World area is a very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located hotel. Across the street from People's Square city park and astride the main shopping street in Shanghai, this hotel has all of the conveniences and amenities of a western hotel, but in the heart of China's '5th Avenue'. It is recognizable because of the UFO that is perched on the roof. If I ever get back to Shanghai, I'll stay here.

Great location, close to everything you want to visit in Shanghai and Subway which goes to the International Airport. Hotel room is pretty good size. Lot's of grand old gold decoration, friendly staff at check in (despite the room key didn't work and I have to return to reception to change key), room is much worn down but clean. Rotating restaurant at level 45 offers good selection of wine and the selection of food is good albeit slightly understaffed. Rooftop bar after dinner is a must go for lonesome travellers only, nice selection of gin and whiskey, bad selection of live band which can be annoying at times.

Situated at the end of the pedestrian zone of Nanjing Lu, the hotel is only a 10/15 minute walk away from the Bund. The service is excellent and the rooms are clean and modern. There are some very good restaurants all around as well as all be high street shops. If you get a room in the higher floors you'll have beautiful views of the city and the location is excellent, just opposite People's square underground stop. The quality of the room service was average but the staff is very helpful.

However, being there at the end of the winter season, A/C was still on heat, and the warm nights were horrible! We were lucky to have stayed at this hotel and enjoyed the location that was paramount to our visit. We did the bus tour 2 days in a row and the pick up area was right across from the hotel! Our room also allowed us to have a lovely view of Nanjing street and the lights of the city at night.

I only had a very brief stay, arriving at 10pm and leaving before 8am the following morning, but check in service was very good. I was upgraded to a suite for free, although it made no difference given the brief stay. The suite was very large, and I would have enjoyed staying in it for longer. I would definitely return.

We enjoyed a 5* star experience here. Very professional staff, well spoken in English and keen to provide assistance. The revolving bar is special, views of Shanghai's skyline. Well located close to Puxi sites. Really happening place to be!

A was lucky enough to have three nights here between jobs. The hotel was great. Staff were friendly and service was quick. I was lucky enough to get an upgrade on the 22nd floor. Wow, great views! The room was large and very clean. All facilities were in place. Mini bar was available but very expensive. Only downside is that the room was a smoking room and as a non smoker that's not good. There was no other room available. Clearly we should have stated non smoking at the time of booking. Dinne... Read more

We stayed 4 nights at Radisson Blu Shanghai New World and we truly enjoyed our stay. We checked in late after arriving late at Pudong Airport. The Hotel is about 1 hour taxi ride from airport. We paid 250 Yuans (approx. $35 US) for the taxi ride from the airport. Upon check-in we were upgraded to a suite with a view of People's Square. The suite had a very large living room, dining room and kitchen. The bedroom was spacious and bed was very comfortable. The staff was very professional and very ... Read more

We chose this hotel on Booking.com due to its great location. It places at the MRT intersection stop of Line 1,2, and 8. It is very convenient for travelers who like to use public transportation as their main vehicle. As expected, Radisson Blu sited just across the street when we got out of the No.8 exit of MRT. Not to mention you can shop and wander around its surrounding with lots of viewpoints and malls. The price of the room was quite reasonable, and we like the breakfast in the Windows on t... Read more

Fantastic hotel, great service, superb location. Everything for the busy traveller. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! Wish all hotels were like this one. Pity my stay was too short! Will be back at this one every time I'm in Shanghai.

The location was perfect, It was close to the metro station Peoples square, beside that the Nanjing Road was just a few steps away. We had a room at the 32nd floor in the city tower, with a view of the skyline and Nanjing Road, just fabulous! The rooms very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I recommend the bar at the top of the hotel, which offers good drinks for a valuable price :)

It's a Radisson Blu so the service and accommodations are excellent, as you would expect. If it isn't in the hotel it's nearby. You can get a suit made, buy souvenirs, entertain colleagues, or dance the night away without leaving the hotel. In addition the staff is there to service your every whim. We stayed recently while in Shanghai for a couple of days. We were in a Deluxe room on the "business" floor (perks of membership) and enjoyed separate work and sleeping areas. The room itself was... Lovely hotel, we had a great view up on the 36th floor. However at night the noise from the street's below was pretty loud. Location is excellent right across from the People's square metro station, lots of options to get around the city. Plus loads shopping and food options within a few minutes walk. Great base to stay and to get around Shanghai.

Centrally located hotel with good service and nice breakfast. Large variety when it comes to restaurants and food + that you can go directly to the shopping center where there is more variety in the food and shopping. Close to subway on People's Square Good shuttle service to airport.

Highly recommended to stay here. It's located in Shanghai downtown. You can easily get to attractive places nearby by just walking! The Internet service either broadband or Wi-Fi are free and very fast. There is no blocking to access Facbeook, YouTube, etc.

I am so happy we got a room at such short notice - 30 mins and we got a booking. Nice clean welcoming atmosphere. Sophie at checkin was fantastic and assisted us in english. Room is great value and very very spacious. Great size bedroom and bathroom. Shower and bath. Also an office area and 2 television sets. Revolving Resturant is super amazing, if you are South African - very similar to the revolving Resturant in Durban but way more modern and huge. The bar and live music at the top of... Read more

We stayed for 3 nights as a stopover on our way home. Location is great very central to everything. We were upgrade on arrival and had a really nice room on the 25th floor which was clean and tidy with lots of space. There was a couple of small things we were disappointed with but nothing major. The internet didn't work properly majority of the time we were here which I would expect in a 5 star hotel. The drinks in the sky dome were extremely expensive given the price of everything else outsid... Read more
