All personnel very helpful and polite.. I stayed for 2 nights in junior suite, it was very nice with very good view and premier lounge was comfortable and quiet. I'm 10 minutes you can be in IFC area which are most of the interesting places to visit in this area.

The hotel is a great base for business or pleasure, staff are excellent, rooms clean and modern and located a short taxi ride (or walk) from Lujjiazui Financial Area with its raised walkways, restaurants and also the tourist tunnel under the river to the Bund. The hotel has a great revolving restaurant at the top that gives stunning views of Shanghai and serves an excellent buffet meal. In all a very pleasant place to stay and complimented by excellent friendly staff, this was my second stay at ... Read more

The first time I stayed at Novotel here was 8 years ago. How time flies. Eton hotel nearby was not even built. It didn't give me a good impression at all I moved on to stay with the Starwood chain. Having arrived last night, much of a confidence that I booked 7 nights here when a special deal of 7 nights. Check in was absolutely pleasant by Tina. She was friendly, polite n service second to none. TOP JOB. In the morning, I decided to visit the cafe. I was greeted by friendly staff. I ordered ... Read more

I booked this hotel because it was in LuJiaZui area of Shanghai, thought it would be very convenient to go to this popular area. The hotel though is about an hour's walk away, and even 3 city blocks away from the nearest metro. With Pudong Avenue undergoing massive construction, there is not much to say about the immediate area, and while the staff and room were all quite friendly and what you'd expect from Novotel, overall the experience was disappointing.

Location: Not good with construction going on outside. Do not feel safe to walk to finance district. Hotel can really consider to provide a bus to this area at least three times a day for drop off and pick- up. Arrival: Hotel have its own drop of zone. This is great. Was met by helpful staff and friendly. Concierge was also great and helpful Reception: Book in was great. Further experience during our 7 day period is that customer facing staff lack english language skills. Room: Old room and carp... Read more

...however, not so cheap when you realize the location isn't as good as it seems. It's on Pudong Ave but the neighborhood is worn down and there's construction going on at the moment. Definitely not bustling and buzzing as one would've hoped. It is only 15 minutes walk to Century Ave though! The rooms are big and I like the view from the shower. Room view is perfect, you get a good view of the skyline and can almost see the Bund. No major complaints, just not as amazing as it looks on the pictur... Read more

Crappy hotel for 4star title. My first experience with this hotel was ok ok, never had that 4 star experience. But recent experience was crappy . room was not clean at all. Got almost electrocuted by broken iron box. Some younger staffs are nice but others not good communicator. Everyone is not treated the same way.

The room needed modernising. Paid for a room on an Executive Floor but was given a larger room on a lower floor. Very disappointed that only powdered instant coffee in the room, why no Nespresso machine? Service in the Executive Lounge was polite, friendly and good. Pool and gym facilities are go Not a bad hotel for a few nights, needs freshening up though

I was given a larger Premium room for the duration of my 14 days in Shanghai by a very friendly and accommodating gentleman named Baptiste (guest relations manager). The room are well managed - clean and smell free . Breakfast selection is average and happy enough to fill up the stomach. There is a Starbucks next door which is a bonus for coffee drinkers . They have an in house bread shop which are very reasonably priced and tasty. Train station is about 10mins walk away. A hotel that caters for business traveller.

Stayed for two weeks on business. Hotel is located in residential district with the 'massage palour' strip just a street or two away. Hotel runs daily shuttle bus back to finance district but the location was not suitable for us. No restaurants or cafes in walking distance. Taxis often refused to take us from the financial district back to the hotel as it wasn't far enough (45 min walk or 10 min walk from subway stop).
