We had a 3 night stay here as part of a Wendy Wu China Delights tour. Our room was not very big with mould in the bathroom. Our travelling companions had a better room so it seems like pot luck as to whether you get a good room or not. The best thing is the breakfast. The breakfast is decent with western and Chinese food. The breakfast room is on the 25th floor with panoramic views of Shanghai. The hotel is large so the breakfast room can get very crowded so could do with more seating. Overall j... Read more

Standard modern hotel. The view from our room (22nd floor) was very good over the night skyline. The higher the room the better it would be. V odd thing about the room - a big window from the bathroom looking into the bedroom so keep the blind closed for privacy from your partner if they are on the loo! Breakfast was ok but the wait for the lift to the restaurant on the 24th floor was c15 mins so not good. Overall location, cleanliness and position would mean we would stay there again.

We found the staff unhelpful, the usual response was no...not possible, or they didn't understand our English requests. We had $100 NZ taken as a security deposit and not returned, it's now three months on and we are still trying to recover it! The hotel manager Lily Honey insists the transaction was cancelled but our credit card debit says otherwise! A total ripoff!

The room size was good and the bathroom decent size only issue was the smell only way to get rid of that was get window open a touch allowed the fan to draw air in! The breakfast was reasonable got a choice of western dishes and well prepared good service we found although off putting was chinese people spitting in the restaurant into the empty bowls and I mean really hawking it up, disgusting. We used a taxi first night in Shanghai about £3 to centre and they tried ripping us off on way back a... Read more

This hotel is a great stop for a short stay. The rooms are clean with quality linen. They have coffee making facilities in the room and there are terrific views to be had from the higher floors. Breakfast covers all tastes, including European, but the toast often requires a long queue and really does need to be improved. There is unlimited coffee and tea available which is served at the table. The room has a nice en-suite, but there is a large glass panel separating it from the rest of the room... Read more

This was the final hotel on our Intrepid trip and was the best one that we stayed in. Checking in was OK as this was done by our group leader and there was a concierge to help with bags . The rooms were clean and spacious , the bed was soft and comfortable The facilities in the room were good coffee ,tea ,iron and hair dryer etc all available. Good sized bathroom , and the Wifi was great (log in was easy using the last four digits of your passport number ) Using the lift no problem so long... Read more

On arrival we were checked in easily and quickly, there are 20+ floors with breakfast being on the top one. NOTE - in the lift if you want to travel on any floor you need to have your room key to be able to select a floor... bit annoying if you don't know this and take time to figure it out. The rooms are stunning - we had a twin room (both queen sized beds) bath and separate shower. however we couldn't use the bath as the plug wasn't a good fit to keep the water in. Rooms are very clean, good a... Read more

Stayed here as part of a Wendy Wu tour, along with many other tour groups. Rooms are pretty good for China with a good bathroom and selection of extras, tea, coffee, bathrobes, slippers, bottled water every day. Negatives; the lifts require you to swipe with your room key, sometimes it doesn't seem to register the floor number. Long waits around breakfast time and when a tour group arrives or departs. Breakfast is a reasonable buffet on the top floor but it's grab a seat, all sitting around on 1... Read more
