The hotel is very close to railway station. Check in was comfortable. The hotel do not accept foreign currencies. They have a currency changing machine installed in the lobby. The machine takes lot of time. First day the machine ran out of money! It has also eaten one hundred dollar note but after calling the bank, speaking to them for long time, the matter was quickly resolved and the hotel gave me the money. The restaurent is very basic. I had to travel with my friend and his family, a total of 13 members. We got the rooms in this hotel as we booked the tour through one of the travel agencies. The agency couldn't book all our rooms in the same floor, so they were in different floors. The reception or the lobby area is quiet smaller, we had trouble in bringing all our luggage through this lobby as it's constantly used by the travelers and the staff. The rooms were pretty neat and didn't find anything to complain about. Since we w... Read more

It is located 10 minutes walk from the North exit of the Shanghai railways station. Big chamber in a good state, good WiFi, good breakfast with a lot of choices. About 10 minutes ride by metro to the People Square and about 40-45 minutes to the Shanghai Hongqiao railways station. Paid in May 2016 about 110 USD for 2 nights.

This hotel was a average place with small rooms and minimum facilities in the room. The breakfast was spread over two areas on the first floor and the quality of the food was okay. The location is a definate advantage as it practically shares it's walls with Shanghai Railway station.SO getting to this hotel is very easy.

The location is great, within 10 min walk to the bus and subway station. You can reach Nanjing Rd in 30 min by bus. Decent food places around because it is right next to the train station. Room is spacious and clean, wifi is good, staff is friendly, shower is hot and water pressure is great. Excellent value for your money.

One of the worst ways to keep and treat loyal customers is NOT to credit their loyalty points even though the booking was made via the ihg website with account number provided, and confirmed upon check-in. I had a late check in and was shocked how bad of a room I got in 1306. First of all the carpet is worn and installed over laminate floors. The room has mold and all the grout is black and nasty. There is human hair on the bed and floors. The sink does not drain and the bowl is cracked.

I stayed here for June for 2 nights. The rooms are basic.. Could do with renovation.. A bit 'rough around the edges' with marks on walls, mould on shower curtains.. Marks to bedside tables. The location is fine if you don't mind walking a little to the metro(about 10-15 minute walk). The staff are fine, polite but not overly helpful. Breakfast is average but seeing as its included in the price, you can't complain too much. All in all an average stay.

For the price the hotel was fine and I imagine it's handy for some as it's near both the bus and train stations. The rooms were comfy and akin to a Holiday Inn Express anywhere else, but the hotel is a bit dated. I wanted to iron some shirts and had to head down to the 3rd floor laundry to stand there doing them in a hot and steamy laundry, not pleasant. As a stop over or a low end budget stay it's fine but it's not a great place to spend a vacation.
